Hey linkus, i think you should call this "Twillight Princess speedrun EXPLAINED" or something along those terms. Because this video could be enooormously helpful for people wanting to learn the speedrun. Love the video and all of your effort

Well, I think he's going for a click-bait title. Your title is more informative, but crosses the threshold where there's a good balance between baity and informative. If he named it that, only Zelda speedrun fans and TP fans are going to click. Something like this helps to garner in not only that audience, but the speedrun and gaming audiences as a whole. Especially with something like "___ are INSANE in 2022." Which is both catchy and emphasizes that it's very relevant right now. I agree though, it would be a good permanent title, I just don't know if I'd change it to that until it has a couple weeks to circulate through the algorithm and reach as far as possible. Still though, he's gotta think of things like this along the lines of a business to reach as many potential consumers as possible before he starts appealing to more niche groups.
He might change the title to something like that later after the views start to slow down
No, he will keep the clickbait title for the first couple of days so more of his subscribers click on the video. It's a common strategy that many successful youtubers do, because it works
I agree but the clickbaity title is important for the video's performance, maybe the same title as now but with "(TP any% explained)" at the end would be the best of both worlds but it's hard to judge this since we don't have the video's statistics to look at, so only linkus would know if these parentheses at the end would hurt the video or not 🤷♀️
Btw, for folks not in the know, this Back in Time glitch is present in some other zelda games too! Nintendo reused this "dummy file for title screen" trick many times. In particular, it's incredibly useful in Skyward Sword runs, because the mechanics of the game allow for a lot more versatility in how you can use the glitch. If you wanna have your mind blown, watch a Skyward Sword Low% run, it's absolute madness.
Midna is the heart and soul of Twilight Princess. I could not see Twilight Princess being a fan favorite without Midna being in it.

I was surprised when you said there's a lot of complaints about Zelda's aim during the riding section, she always hit during my playthrough, I had no idea it was because of the analog stick! So Zelda doesnt have bad aim after all xD
I am an avid twilight Princess fan and honestly I adore early game. Interacting with the villagers and playing the first few dungeons is so much fun. I do hate not being able to warp though

I think that's a matter of opinion. I, for one, play Zelda for adventuring, so going through that whole sequence is tedious and boring, especially on replays.
Also, the goat herding minigame is shit. Seriously, I hated that damn thing so much as a kid I flat-out _stopped playing_ before I got anywhere, and I'm not any more fond of it today.

This kind of format is soo much better than the usual stream "clip". Similar to GDQ, the commentary is soo immensly helpful to understand what you are looking at. Very well done!

Started watching you after your GDQ run of Wind Waker and thought you were cracked, especially as young as you were. Even back then you were amazing at explaining everything and them pulling it off live while explaining. To see how much you've grown, both literally and figuratively, is really heartwarming man. Hope your medical struggles have gotten a lot better, you're looking great.

I remember doing the long jump slash a couple of times in the past but never kept doing it for speedrun purposes, just for fun. Never in my wildest dreams I would think it had so much potential.
This was sooooo helpful. I have no intention of properly speed running but this was very helpful for messing with my brother by making him question how the heck I managed to beat Twilight Princess in 7 and a half hours instead of the usual 16 hours it takes me. And faster than the 14 hours it takes him. KEKW

i actually love watching speedruns that are just broken to all hell and i have no idea what is going on. this is amazing now knowing how broken the game really is.

8:30 it is the Ordon sword that link is supposed to bring to the castle (in the Lore) that is requiered. At this point of the game, you are suppose to have given the wooden sword to one of the kid.

no, you're absolutely right. you find the broken wooden sword in the second Twilight area which you sniff in order to find the kids in Kakariko.
Yeah I said this too. You shouldn’t even have the wooden sword at all by that point. In fact you never have the ability to get it ever again.

I just spent the last hour or so figuring out how to do the EMS glitch and finally got it! Unfortunately it's the only sequence skip I know and now this save file is practically useless unless I figure out other tricks. But this is such a cool video for one of my favorite childhood games! I used to speedrun this game way back in 2013 when not many people ran this game so this was a trip down memory lane. Lots of the tricks are very familiar and it nice to see lots of new strats were found. The Gate to Lanayru with Epona was very annoying lol. Thanks for the video Linkus.

As a kid I figured that getting the all the fused shadows/mirror shards would be unnecessary if you could just get the final pieces in the lakebed and sky temples. All you would have to get is whichever items were necessary for the remaining overworld dungeons and boss fights. Turns out that was completely correct.
What a crazy route this game has developed over the years.
I think you might have forgotten to talk about how you got the glitched bomb bag through the minigame. Otherwise most of the important huge skips and glitches are included. Great video.
It's a long time since I've actually had the ability to play Twilight Princess. But over the last couple years I've spent a ridiculous amount of time going down the rabbit hole studying speedrun tactics for this game. I like glitches in general but I find the exploits in Twilight Princess particularly fascinating. I'm amazed by the amount of skill and knowhow that goes into it.

early master sword was a lot of fun to play with though.
Aldo there is a lot that you can do with the gale boomerang.
using the gale boomerang and the jump strike can get you out some fun places. and wolf link has super broken jumps including the one where midna highlights the enemies.
u didn't find the shield and sword skip difficult. but gate clip with the big metal gates was always so difficult for me
We've done some kiddy stuff like going back in time to skip early game but now at 7:45 we're coming up on the first major glitch

51:50 This method of hitting the boss three times instead of four can also be used on the first real boss (Gluto) in Power Rangers Super Legends for Nintendo DS. That way the boss isn't gonna do a special attack wich would lose time.

This was the first Zelda game I ever beat as a kid (was too scared to play Majoras Mask, and I always got stuck in the whale/fish in Ocarina of Time. I also got stuck in Windwaker, somewhere very near the end of the game, and after awhile I had just convinced myself I had beaten the game. Went back and played it over 10 years later and MY SHOCK at the actual ending. I really thought I had beaten it lmao! )
This is also probably my favorite Zelda game. I've beaten it atleast 7 times. Back when it came out, I genuinely thought the graphics were good enough to be real life LOL. I just remember being blown away by how pretty the game was. The music and the environment kept bringing me back.
