You can give other players rights for your house. Including changing furniture.
In a dev livestream they confirmed that you can build multiple houses with your friends, romance is likely not available yet
I REALLY hope they implement a pet (or even a mount!) element into Palia! I am absolutely thrilled with this game and cannot wait for it's release. How awesome would it be to be able to get different types of dogs/cats/ other pets. Being able to have a big, loyal dog to adventure with or a fluffy cat to cuddle when I am relaxing at home would be the best thing ever!!
You get a glider to fly through the world. And they are working on pets.
Ahhh!! I’ve been saying this! I’d like to have pets but I REALLY want mounts too. I hope that’s added someday😭
im sick of mounts, but vehicles. Also mechanical engineering should be a job.
@@johnhimura1000 Great idea and YES that would be amazing! It would be really cool if professions could come from each thing. Like leatherworking/tailoring so you can make clothing items, blacksmithing for powerful tools, and mech engineering for fun vehicles and other trinkets! Love that idea.

I love how the developers think that one doesn't need to "romance" someone to create a great connection. I LOVE this factor. I know many it is all about the dating. For me, it is to connect with each character at different levels. Higher levels doesn't have to mean romantic love!
I’ve been following Palia since it was first announced! I’m so excited about cross platform since I primarily play on my switch but do have a PC also! The game looks like it’s going to be beautiful and like they’ll always be something to do and just the fact that I can play with my friends that love this genre as well makes me so excited! Some of the devs were from the original WoW dev team also, which was one of my favorite games when I was younger. Can’t wait to watch you stream this game Sarah! ❤

@pantyzoup hopefully not. P2w mechanics are a corporate decision rather than an individual developer decision so it doesn't necessarily mean there will be the same mechanics. OG wow didn't have any microtransactions and relied on its own internal economy. Sadly its become the norm to have p2w :(
@@RykerJones28 It's a really valid point - how many games have said they're only cosmetic advantages only to end up being P2W or time gated behind a paywall?
I like to think because the nature of Palia, with the cozy casual sim mmo, that you can't REALLY P2W because you're not going up against other players or doing much PvE but only time will tell!
@heyjoshplays that's my general feeling too. I'll likely give it a go anyway. See what's what.
I've been looking forward to this one since announcement. I had moved away from MMOs for a variety of reasons but my favorite aspect as always the social....being able to develop friends and play with them was always great. The idea of being able to do so in a cozy, non-combat focused environment is 1000% my thing. I've been lucky enough to get into alpha tests & am so excited that more people will be able to play very soon!
I'm one of the lucky pre-alpha testers too, they have a really nice community and developer team. The graphics, mechanics and world of the game are very beautiful and relaxing. I'm excited for the release day.

This is a mix of Coral island and My Time at Portia/Sandrock. At least its free so I will most likely play it in the future!

I was lucky enough to be in the pre-alpha and this makes me so nostalgic for the game and so excited for the beta. Palia's world is incredible and the community is one of the very nicest I have ever seen, even with a very large population in their discord (100K+). I can't wait to see how it evolves upon launch and cannot wait to play again! Thanks for covering it! 🥰
Yeah, I was in the stress test, but I was only able to play for an hour since I was working 😭

Waiting until those who have played alpha test can give more details (as well are under NDA) then you will know what that 25 number pertains too.
Again the 25 players number isn't just how many ppl can be on each server. Even us alpha testers have no clue how many have been on each server.

I can't wait until NDA is up so we can dish! This game is going to do so well. The fact that there's no PVP, you can park yourself in a beautiful, relaxing setting and go use the bathroom or get started on dinner - and your player is completely safe - is so amazing. I'm sad that the backpack outfit is probably going to be a pay item, Team Backpack folks are .
Game is very niche. It will have a cult following, but won't blow up.

I have a feeling all the trolls and PvP players will flood the game at first and then get bored and leave, and leave the game to the cozy players it was meant for. You're right that it is a niche market, though, but I think that will keep the game peaceful and cooperative.
@@piperbird7193 as long as it doesn't feel like a clique, it's cool. But it's probably going to get trolled hard for a bit.
The game is only as good as the dev work. I can only hope it does well, but if it doesn't it might be S6's downfall.

I just found your channel through this video! Thank you so much for introducing me to this amazing looking game, it truly does seem full of promising features. I appreciate the lack of PVP so much, and find it interesting that the world will be affected by other players’ collecting and crafting. One thing I missed seeing in this video is rideable animals, I think that adds so much to a fantasy style open world game like this. Not sure how big the world is but having a faster creature of any sort to cover ground with when you’re on adventures or looking for ingredients or crafting materials would really be such a huge bonus. But I’m sure they’ve thought about this and made sure gameplay won’t feel slow or unachievable without this ability. It would still be fun tho 😁
It kinda reminded me a bit of the game in development Meetlight, I’m so excited to see more of these games pop up, it’s just up my alley!

I love that we can hunt with responsibility here. Some people think that hunting is evil, but hunting is actually a sustainable way of living. There are those who eat roadkill, those who hunt some species because their population could endanger other animal's pppulation etc.
Anyway, I hope this won't become a pay to win game, although I doubt it would be one in the first place.

I'm excited for this one this is the type of game I wanted out of runescape where I can just have a house, forage, buy stuff, explore with newer gen graphics and full 3d spaces. I hope the game can get the support it needs monetization wise.

I was getting a burn out from playing Coral Island, Im so excited for this one!
burn out is horrible but what happen to me is i was playing disney dreamlight valley so much and then i spent a burning in my switch and then i lost all my progress everything never bought a switch again maybe i'd have been better getting it on the pc but i was so far in..........starting over sucks unless i get another switch which i probably won't do because the hardware in them is fking slow.
I've been waiting for Palia since I first heard about it ages ago! I'll be waiting for the official release in late 2023 as I just can't do another Disney Dreamlight Valley pre launch scenario!

Got into closed beta and this game is super chill. I love that it's stress free. Just a relaxing community to waste time.
Got to play in the Beta stress test and my wife and I very much enjoyed the game. Having both been long time WoW players, this felt fresh and fun while also feeling chill with a relaxing vibe.

I have been following this game for a very long time, as there are former Blizzard developers working on the game. There is a lot to this game, I have been lucky enough to be in the Alpha testing process of this game. There is a lot to this game, things not even mentioned in this video that everyone I think is going to really enjoy. Looking forward to it's release.
this reminds me a bit of Freerealms, runescape, and Animal Crossing.
*Wasn't interested in the game until I heard the magic words- Free to play and Romance* Okay I am game lol. It's also nice the creators will be upfront about things too. I am going to wait for the Switch version simply because I know my computer won't be able to handle the gameplay mechanics here.

I've been gaming for like my whole life and I genuinely wanted a cozy game like this, i enjoyed Minecraft but I quickly got bored with it for some reason and from that time i was waiting for a game like this and i hope this game delivers and i can enjoy playing it alone or with a friend. So far it looks promising and cool.
From the devs video, it seems like they will also include bag space in the monetization, which is slightly concerning.
going from borderlands 3 to this will be a nice change of pace for me.
