- Deadman's is a big wave spot that breaks maybe twice a year. While i was over in Western Australia filming that incredible wave the RIGHT (as per my last edit) - on the other side of the country there was a huge swell pounding the east coast of Australia. Everyone in the Sydney area focused their attention on this spot just off the coast of Manly. As i couldn't be there, i connected with all the camera guys that filmed it and here is the result. Lots of incredible surfing and heaps of poundings.

Sam Jones's knowledge of that wave is incredible. Balls to match!
😂
Was going to say the same thing. Really impressive watching him navigate the boil and foamball as well as he did.
Want to give a shout out to Max Dodshon as well. Went on some absolute bombs and for people that haven't bodyboarded big waves with lots of boils and wind chop before, you have no idea how difficult it is to maintain speed and control. Seeing him navigate that was also quite impressive. You just don't have as much shock absorption in prone as you do standing: just holding onto your board is a challenge let alone being in control and drawing a sick line.

Thanks Tim for the chance to be a part of this! Great edit 🙌🏻
That was awesome! Great photography. The size of those waves really deceptive. They don't look big until you see the guys in them. I think the guy on the Boogie Board probably got the best rides of the bunch. Love the music too.
Another awesome vid 👍
Hey Tim, Raff here from Robot God. Mate we are loving the clip, such a sick edit, amazing to watch and the music is synced up perfectly. You are the man, 10/10!!!! 🌊🤙🤙🌊
Some very impressive videography, especially from the different angles! The intro worked well too as a lead in.
A+ madness!
sam jones surfer of the session
100%
Nothing like a funky double up right at the most critical part of the wave....
That little bump in the wave at the bottom is insane. You can do everything right and if you don’t dodge it, you’re poleaxed by a pipeline sized wave.
Sam & Clint are the OG's out there dude. Music impressive.
Hitting that mutant bump is like hitting a pebble on a skateboard!
Man that's a heavy chunk of water. The lads are slaying it with such confidence and skill.
Hard core shit. Bravo 👏 yew
That band has a Corrosion of Conformity sound about them. Great video and great song.
That band was awesome!
Excellent filming of that beast.
OMGEE YUP Those Aussie🌊🌊🌊~You Just Get What She Gives You&Oh She Delivers~Doesn'tDisappointSheSureIsAnAggressive🌊💓💓💓Her😊😊😊
Awesome vid boys. Well done. That was a good swell…
Crazy good drone clips
😎👍
Great vid, great soundtrack. Mutant waves seem to be Australia's trademark. Like Shipsterns that wave within a wave was killer!
Dang that’s some great skills and balls of steel right there
love it! especially seeing it all in real speed.
Great edit Tim! Thanks for providing 🙏🏽🙌🏼
MAX got some solid ones
I'm writing this from one of the most "landlocked" places in the world! Minnesota! Dad moved me here about 4 years after being born in Wahroonga! I moved back to Oz right after highschool. Learned to surf. Took me months of every day. Thank God for "the Dole!" The next two decades it was all about surfing 🌊! These guys make it look so easy. From my limited perspective, this looks like a Very difficult and obviously Dangerous wave to surf! "Hellmen" only at this spot "Mate!"
Sam Jones has balls of steel, charging that second section looked like doom then somehow kept going
Awesome Tim. You are putting out insane work these days! Traveling all over and scoring with the best cinematography of the surf world. Bravo!
That gut slider got a sick one.
That is pure madness
Savage wave that one!
Awesome footage especially the drone angles. Really great color grading on that drone footage of the water and the cliffs.
😁👍
Awesome, amazing, heavy!!!!
Great vid
Scary wave. Being out there on a big day is like getting your head too close to the furnace but you can't look away.
Good music on this one
One of your best Tim, simply because I know the place.. great skills on show here, respect.
Can't wait
'some jolly good floggings were had by all'😆 Great big gonads on those chargers! Perfect sounds for the edit again TB...and big ups to the drone flyers for the crack piloting!
😁👍
@@skymonkey5 Nice work bros...saw your post the other day, so knew it was you, but TB named two other pilots too, so couldn't single you out for extra credit! 🙃
Mad lads all of them. Much respect bros!
... Sick edit Tim 🙏
Epic footage brutha
tim another great vid.
really well put together. thankyou....
give us more deadmans and
......can we get some of the chair at dee why point....?
😊😊
What do you mean by chair at Dee why point?
@@pps900 hi.
tim....
"the chair" is the DEEP (heavy) take off spot before the rpool....
most guys take off on or after "suck-up" the barrel in front of where most guys jump off the rocks (after the pool).
when dee why point is big with the right swell direction a few guys take off at "the chair". it is spectacular free fall take off right on the rock ledge.
it would make for some amazing footage.
ps. love your work.
the footage is amazing.
and you know how to edit and bring the footage together in a interesting way.
thankyou.
Wow! that was amazing! Back in the day we would be shitting ourself to see that kind of footage! Best Short Movie Ever! The Sound track was kicking ass as much as the great content! You guys Rock!!!!!!
Great drone work.
Wave looks challenging
This place, I have so much respect for the locals who wired this break.
Love your gift and its manifestation, it stands out way way higher than the rest = salute = respect dude!
I remember when pro surfers from Hawaii came to deadman's . They left said it's hardly makeable.
Mad footage..thanks!
that was so sick
Great clip and a lot of balls shown great stuff mate
"Booga Wooga" at 6:48 really found the "Turbo Button!" Impressive!
Siiiiiiiiick!!!
sams been out there since probably 10.. the bloke loves the rock lobster
Excellent 👍
those sydney boys got it wired
First tune was so fucking good Timmy, another sick video as always
Sound of Grunge!
Great work as always mate!
Looks cold awesome stuff
Wave of Love!
heavy
Technically Deadmans is more tricky than Shipsterns, that step is more unpredictable. 3:16 Sam Jones contender for wave of the year
the inside got to be hell on earth
4:36 Is it me or is this a really well ridden one?
Well ridden 🏄♂️
Are the local boys to to kick up a fuss about Tim’s decision to show this wave to the world as they did when koa did not so long ago ????
Deadmans is basically Fairy bower on the outside point. I can't say that's in any way a secret??...
Australia/Fiji could have a Winter East Coast
Low Comp/Circuit.
Gnnnarly 🐨🌊🦘🤙🤙🤙🥰🥰🥰
What a great wave. Enjoy it fellas
epic
Reminds me Shipsterns Bluff.
Perhaps the most unpredictable wave I’ve ever seen.
Scariest piece of moving water I've ever seen 💀
As good as deadman’s will ever get.
So who put the sign for Koa not allowed to film? Was it for YOU or for HIM?
Was so confused..
@ 3:13 WTF!
5:20 hits the vocals to explain what's in my mind
music's funny the whistling cracked me up turned into a good tune but
7:12 oh my Lord..... how to survive that??
ahh good old manly.
Sam Jones at 3:18 some voodoo shit
Tricky wave...its got a double suck to it
Heavy wave,hell surfing!????
I prefer to surf pipeline teahupoo and shipsterns the same day than ever surfing this wave
Bodhi still not coming back!
whacko the didleo
looks a bit mushy
Don't know why you have to include so much footage of the rock-off????? Is that really necessary???
Todo me gustó menos la musikita, es mejor oír las olas si c puede.
The dude Sam Jones certainly manhandled a few full on foam balls...a stand out from that sesh no doubt - hat is off!
