What happened with the Oregon Trail is you found the Great Salt Lake. It's a different bonus but not the one you need to get Oregon/Washington/etc. There's a few different outcomes of mapping the Western Frontier.
Oregon is one of three options, also always building a fort, it helps in other expeditions.
Yeah the first time you do that entry you have a chance of three options
I have never gotten Oregon first it is always Great Salt first Oregon second for me. So much that I have no idea what the other options are. Probably around 500 hours lol
@@baked2522probably around 1000 hours, nearly always get Oregon trail on the second expedition. In 1 single expedition #1 I got something other than Great Salt Lake. Seems almost scripted to complete on the 2nd go around
18:20 Nitroglycerin is a liquid that easily explodes and is hard to handle safely and with precision, while dynamite is solid, stable and mostly explodes when the fuse runs out.
Liquid nitroglycerin really wasn't that useful as a precision mining tool, and mining has always been a dangerous profession.
imagine not going historical by not turning Pennsylvania into a coal/steel powerhouse
smh didn't even call it by the right name.... it's called penissilvania bro cmon
I think for the Oregon Trail event, the first success you had was finding the Great Salt Lakes, rather than the Oregon Trail. I think the Western Frontier decision has three or so potential outcomes and finding the Oregon Trail is only one of them.
Vicky 3 has become my main game. Love it more than eu4.
Has it improved since its release? i was going to pick it up but the steam reviews were some of the worst i've seen for any game so i stayed away. I'm a huge eu4 and hoi fan.
I see the potential after 1.5 patch. Very excited what they deliver in Sphere of Influence DLC
They should just make the economy of scale give +1% for each building level including the first one, but starting from the second one if they absolutely don't want to have it for single buildings. It's annoying to have to build a round number +1 each time to optimize throughput...
There are several possible outcomes for Mapping the Western Frontier. The decision with the Brits required finding the Oregon Trail, while you found Salt Lake. You just got unlucky, but somebody else was mapping at the same time, so the UK sent you the offer anyway
Killed me with the Properly Tied Women legislation ahaha
the map the american froneir has like 3-4 diff possible outcomes (I'm 90% it's random which you get), the first one you got was mapping the great salt lake, you wanted the oregon trail
I’ve been loving your vicky 3 videos man 😸, keep it up
Don't forget Philippines, Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, Northern Marianas, Virgin Islands, and Cuba
Mapping the West is something that you have to do twice to get the Northwest and that was added in an early patch of the game
When mapping the western frontier you can have different ending events, for the Idaho negotiation you need the Oregan trail event
My son just started me on this game. Loving how you are explaining everything!
Could you do Sardinia Piedmont in Vic 3, I don't understand how risorgimento works in it and struggling.
No way this was 20 minutes ago i was watching you play vicky all day yesterday and hoped you’d post a new video soon
It used to be that maping the western frontier had like 3 or 4 outcomes and only one of em being the discovery of the oregon trail.
Did anyone tell him that the map the western frontier event fires multiple times till you discover each of the unique areas, aka getting salt lake first, then Oregon trail
You know Ludi, there's a colony the Americans took towards the end of Vic 3 that still needs its own episode...
ALL I NEED [.Is Ludi To Make Your Playing LIBERIA WRONG .] SO I CAN [.Complete My Fake Thanos Glove Gems.]
Wonderfull episode! Keep it up
You mapped the great basin during the Western Frontier events. You need the Oregon Trail closing event to finish the mission.
I have only played USA onecet and i turnrned into a autocracy buy about 1840 then as soon as i got single party stat i got single party state and buy 1900 i was a full on fasist dictatorship and i had conquered almost all of north america and carregian wight a latge africa colony
There are several outcomes for Mapping the Western Frontier. You need to do it few times for the one you want
"It's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it." -George Carlin
You didn't fail twice, you have to map the western trail twice. Once will be for Utah region, second for Oregon.
Damn, Ludi had to bust out the Big Book of American Tropes for this one; so edgy.
I love playing as countries with multiple cultures across different heritages. Playing as the USA with Reconstruction completed allows me to accept all African and European heritage cultures. I also enjoy playing as the Philippines because it's easy to make all Southeast Asian and European heritage cultures accepted.
34:08 south Australia is the place with a single property the size of a small European nation
The Oregon trail is discovered during the second mapping of the west I think
A NEW LUDIE VIDOE 😃😃
What do you mean I 'm playing wrong?? You're playing wrong!
Thus I activate my special trap card "NO U"
Proud I knew what u meant with doctrine within the second APUSH FOR LIFE
Please keep doing Vicky 3 videos! EU4 just doesn't hit the same. Hopefully 1.5 rounds into shape
You need to map the frontier multiple times to get the event for the states
My video paused by accident when Ludi said '' Everybody makes mistakes, that's why I am here.'' And for a moment I didn't realise it had paused so I just tought Ludi was keeping an awkard silence after that as a joke...
''Russia is it coming?'' Meanwhile behind ludi - Russia Begins Mobilization...
WAITING FOR PART 2 LUDI BOY
There are 2 different outcomes with the Oregon trail it’s a 50/50 if you discover it or not. It’s very annoying when I play as America I hate doing this journal entry it’s very frustrating and annoying
Ludi! Is it not more efficient to concentrate all of your construction places into the place where you’re building the most since you’ll stack construction efficiency?
No, you stack where the materials they need are, so they're not having to deal with MAPI.
"Hell yeah we just got cultural exclusion" - Paradox games in a nutshell.
The amount of times I went to war because some alien was ugly or I wanted to have just one more province to make the blob rounder :D
Hellyuh =p, I like to bankroll also to accelerate improving rep with Texas
Lol, your so cheeky Ludi, America has the best health care on earth in real life =P. Remember when Irans revolutionary leader came to America for health care to take care of his cancer xD Note how he didn't go to England, or France, or Russia, or China, ahahahahaha.
Man the army resetting looks awful. I really hope they iron it out before release.
34:13 they enlisted the emu.
i would love to see a usa version run like the game you played USSR, but just as usa
I'm from Rio Grande do Sul and I'm curious how Piratini not only survived but also took Santa Catarina. I've never managed to do that
Ah the American dream, you got to be sleeping to believe it :D
I thought you were gonna say "You were playing USA wrong all this time, Soo today were gonna play prussia. DONT QUESTION IT."
Dude, I'm eating here. Don't show me haggis.
The burger is called Whopper Ludi :)
They need to address how frequent and absurd the revolutions are with the political system
Victoria 3 made me pass my classes due to how heavily economic it it’s
First 45 seconds are hilarious
MURICA, even though im not im just a Filipino
Man, you should make a tutorial on how to play this game, it looks amazing but it's too complex
It's really not if you just jump into it. Takes way less time to understand than EU4. Don't be afraid to make some mistakes and restart the first few times. But after a couple runs you get the hang of it. Might not be playing "optimally" but it's still fun.
@@connorsterrettagreed. people get very scared from all the menus but they’re genuinely all laid out and explained very well. Every icon having extra info when hovering it is really helpful as well. This kinda goes for HOI4 and Stellaris too imo. These games aren’t too bad once you put in like 3 hours or so.
@@connorsterrett I'm still struggling after a lot of runs, the game doesn't really tell you how it should be played, only how mechanics work. The videos on it aren't too different. It's made worse by the constant change and new mechanics from updates. I'd say it takes dozens of hours to really understand it enough, if you haven't played previous paradox games. Someone that's experienced EU4 like you would have a breeze with Vic 3.
@@nogrammer check out the Generalist Gaming channel. He does a great job of explaining a lot of mechanics in detail.
in 29:58 you discovered great salt lake you need to discover oregon trail for oregon border dispute
"whammy" is from a old game show
Could you try a Bohemia? As from a Austria empire ,thank you have good day and as always good videos.😄😄
I bought Vic3 when it came out and to this day I still have no idea how to play it.
I told that teaching lady the only letters I need to know is U, S, & A!
Nasty Murica? Lets go
Hey Ludi any chance you can do a beginner's guide plz. I want to play more Vic3 but Im an idiot and have no idea what im doing. Seems all Im doing is building tooling stations as Belgium, my GDP goes up slightly but everyone is starving and cant read
will have a proper new beginner guide when 1.35 fully drops, but until then recommend you fully watch this czcams.com/video/0ka4Pw-jJUk/video.html I really try to explain EVERYTHING in detail in this video
There is actually an easy way to get rid of slavery in just the first year of the game, try to start a war with Britain usually through Canada and they usually make one of there war demands to be abolishing slavery usually along with a humiliation demand as well. And once the war starts you can capitulate right when it starts and if you’re willing to tolerate the humiliation you can instantly remove slavery from British demands. So congrats you prevented the slavery effort ever happening.
You can also end the trial of tears event by just simply annexing the Indian territory, you will no longer get any events from that.
The Western expedition can discover multiple things. You needed to specifically discover the Oregon Trail, not just finish an expedition.
The Oregon dispute is a little misleading. There are essentially two stages. If you notice when you finished it the first time it says you reached the great salt lake which is in Utah, not the pacific coast. You then need to do it a second time to go all the way to the Oregon coast. Which is what the journal entry is actually referring to, the second expedition to the coast not the first expedition to the half way point.
What’s the Romanian dream? Cheap cigarettes and liquor?
How to inva.... what ... um ....no
I meant how to spread freedom to every country
You have to try the greece and byzantium flavor mod
Some insane dude called tarkusarkusar gets 4 bilion gdp only using actual american territories
lol for me Mexico backed down and I got all the states. no war, no civil war. this game is so random sometimes lol
"Double Whammy" is from an old game show from the 70s.
The Whopper is the burger from Burger King.
#AmericanThings
Wammy is from a game show called "press your luck". The thing you are thinking is called whopper
You didn't fail the expedition you just need to do it twice to find the oregon trail as the first time only gives you the great salt lake
Ludi whats ur pc setup? Or ur in game settings? How tf ur game run so fast? On my decently high end pc it runs half as fast as urs on the beta damn
I don't make mistakes! I just correctly don't choose the correct action!
POV: when you see a LudietHistora vid
😆😆🤯🤯
Dynamite, unlike Nitroglycerin, which is fairly unstable, is really stable, hence why it was such a big improvment.
You didnt fail the Oregon stuff. When you map it you have a Chance of getting the Oregon trial the salt lake. And one more thing idk. you have to discover them all
I would argue that making the 3 healthcare policies more distinct than a simple upgrade is more important.
Otherwise that just throws you into a one-sided replay loop of the exact same strategies and tactics (or political ideologies) regardless of what nation you play.
That makes the game more uninteresting then the 75th MP tech rush video in a row by stellaris players.
It has occurred to me that Ludi is actually just Roman from GTA IV, but he does CZcams videos instead of driving cabs...
Eu4 mikmaq run please
What's the (expected) release date for 1.5 patch, does anyone know? Thx :)
6900? noice! 😂
You gotta show the map painted at the end, my man.
Yes Oklahoma should be isolated 😂
"We have no more SLAVS in our nation" YOU WHAT KURWA

I had an absolutely nutty game playing as Syria, and by end game the USA had gone communist and became unbeatable.
I started yesterday a USA run, let's see what I did wrong😂

Because they aren't.
Also, public health insurance? What's that?

As US you always must to do the journey 2 times, first i think you find thye sea... and in the second time you find the corridor what quest ask to you to find
