Star Wars - Battle of the Heroes | Tragic Version

- I read somewhere recently that George Lucas originally wanted Battle of the Heroes to sound like a "tragic" version of Duel of Fates and I thought that sounded cool so I made this.

@J.E F Was the movie that bad? I would like to hear it so then I don't have to watch it. I never bothered watching the sequel trilogy, I only watched the force awakens and liked finn and didn't bother watching the last jedi.

Fitting for when, from a certain point of view, both Anakin & Obi-Wan died, and only Vader & Ben left Mustafar alive.
One full of hate & darkness, the other a broken shell that was merely existing.
Obi-wan... that's a name I haven't heard in a long time...
They were reborn tho, Ben to the force, and Vader back to Anakin
How can you even compare? One was mentally broken which can be cured over time, the other one was crippled and burned and could not breathe without a machine. Also he lost his beloved wife.

It simply doesn’t make logical sense to compare these two.
I wasn't a broken shell merely existing. Everything I did after that point was with purpose. We are not defined by the tragedies we experience, rather in how we overcome such struggles. I was just as much a Jedi before fighting Anakin as I was after.
Obi Wan may have emerged victorious in the duel, but both Jedi lost everything that day.

As pointed out in another comment, both Anakin and Obi-Wan died there. The two who left Mustafar were Vader and Ben.
If this played during the scene where Obi slashes Vader's helmet and we see Anakin's face in the other half then it would have made me die of a broken heart
When you realise that the Clone Wars is over and you will never see Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka and Rex together again. :_(

Xinxxi Agreed. The prequels aren't great, let's be real, there's loads of problems with the prequel trilogy. I actually like the Clone Wars era myself, some really great stuff came out of it, but the trilogy that introduced that era has its issues and simply acknowleding that is controversy for some reason.

I miss when talented people could take Lucas's vision and make it something great. Left to his own devices he is shit as a filmmaker. A terrific storyteller, yes, but a useless filmmaker. A New Hope was saved in the editing room and John Williams score. Empire Strikes back benefited from Irvin Kershner's direction and Lawrence Kasdan and Leigh Brackett story and script.
Hate the sequels, yes, but let's not re-imagine the prequels as something great. They were utter garbage.

I can actually picture this Theme being used in Revenge Of the Sith but instead we got a hardcore epic version, Both yours and the movies theme Are Amazing 😉
The Leitmotif for battle of the Heroes should be somewhere in the Kenobi movie when it comes out.
Imagine Darth Vader looking out the window of a Star Destroyer and reflecting on all he's gone through to bring him to the point he is at the end of ROTS. All while this is playing in the background
one of my favorite moments in all of cinema history, best action, best choreography, best score, best cinematography, best visual effects, best lightsaber duel in the franchise. It's also so emotional. "you were my brother Anakin, i loved you" makes me cry literally EVERY TIME. Ewan Mcgregor just sells everyone of his lines so perfectly. This scene is a masterpiece

As the lava dragged itself onto the tip of the fallen Jedi's sliced legs, Anakin soon become engulfed in the flames, only able to scream in unbearable pain. His fear had indeed left his suffering. Obi-Wan couldn't watch his former mentor melt in the blaze before him, turning his wearing eyes away, before traversing back to Padme's ship, with only regret and sadness.
Lava did not touch him you fool. He would have molten.
His clothes caught fire because of the heat, he was too close to the lava. Like a towel can burn if you leave it on the stove

How chilling would this be if I’m episode 9 for one of the flash back we get Kylo or Rey enters the temple and the force hits them the room goes dark this music slowly get louder and louder he/she turns around from a high point of view just making out Anakin and Obi was fighting

If a Kenobi movie comes out, this should be the music for a theme when Obiwan reflects on the last time he saw Vader on Mustafar as he duelled him.

It starts of as kenobi laying in bed reminiscing about his past then cuts to death Vader looking out a window in deep thought.
On the inside of his mask a tear rolls down his face
Darth Vader is not a villain. He is a victim.
If you look at it in Obi-Wan's PoV, you'll realize how painful it must be for him, to fight his student. And although he won, he is dead. And only Ben remains.
It will fit perfectly after the « Execute Order 66 »
