I'm a huge fan of your work Guy, but it really looks like Joey was getting very severe chemical burns from this session.
I couldn't help but notice all the red and irritated looking skin around his hairline, and then at 9:26 what looks like an open sore on the top of Joey's head :(
I hope he wasn't in any discomfort or pain during this hair repair.
If you listen in the beginning , Joey mentioned he attempted to color and remove the dye himself at home, what you see is not my doing , that's why it's a paranormal, I am here to fix his color as gently as possible,
Aww you've worked so hard on his hair. Joey has gone a bit too paranormal on his own for sure. Must have been a bit painful lesson to learn ;-)

Did you give him a chemical burn ? There was a spot on his head before you applied the color that looked really raw and red, then you asked how his scalp felt so I was just curious.
When I watched Joey's video, he said his scalp burned the worst this time - but attributed it to washing his hair twice in a row with that "color stripping" stuff he mentioned.
l think that was more Joey's fault cause he had just used a color stripper in his hair before even going to guy.

Ohh okay that makes sense, but if guy knew that why would he put bleach directly on his scalp ?
The raw spot didn't show up until after he added the bleach. If you watch Joey's video he talks about how because he color stripped his hair twice the night before, he washed off all the natural oils on his scalp, so when Guy bleached his hair it hurt because he didn't have any protective layer left. The last step (where you can see the raw spot on his head) Guy was only applying demi haircolor without any bleach in it so it wouldn't hurt.

Omfg same. I did a semi perm blue and purple cause it would wash out within a month. Boy was i wrong. 2 bleach baths and various options later.. blue wont leave my hair.

I'm not a hairdresser but I've been doing my hair for awhile now and I've had leftover green for 8months now. Pink with a tinge of orange works best, I've found. In case anyone else tries this haha

+Samantha I I kinda meant on extensions or something. to kind of show how it works. But that is quite true, so obviously he wouldn't do it on someone's actual hair.
He is a professional I don't see him doing that at all he has reliable products he uses on clients everyday. Kool-aid is more of an at home treatment like box color you can get at drugstores.
+Turtle23Lover I agree with you. He has a career as a high-end stylist. Guy doesn't need, or probably even want, to do challenges like that to get views on CZcams. Other CZcamsrs who make money from videos do challenges like that so they can get more views for their income. Beside the fact that it is damaging for your hair and not even a real hair product.

GUY!!!!!! I love how you work miracles! Just recently before my 23rd bday I wanted to go get my hair professionally done for the first time. I told the lady I wanted to leave my roots (naturally dark brown) and go for a silver/grey ombre. I walk out of the salon and my hair was blotchy with blondes, purples, greens, blues, and my tips were just how I wanted them. I called the place back and told her she needed to redo it because it was not what I asked for. The day before my birthday party, she fixed what she messed up and got rid of MOST of the blonde and it turned out to be a lot better than the first time but still not what I wanted!!! About three weeks later and now my hair looks like its teal/grey! UGHHHH Guy I live in Orlando, FL. and would LOOOVEEEE for you to work on this hair of mine!

as long as the green color is light enough...just go for it. the pink color inside the purple will neutralize the green.
I personally just did this last week. I made a dark magenta color using manic panics pinks and purples and it turned out beautifully :)

Guy I'm no professional but by my experiences I have used red to get the green out and to get the red tint I ran over it with an ash color so the ash/blue undertone cancels out the red tones in the hair and create an even color

I had green in my hair before (was post to be blue but that's a different story,) I decided I really wanted to go blue so I tried lightening the green out and the green just got brighter, it was not going anywhere. Ignoring the green, I had slap the blue on my hair and at the ends of my hair where the green showed most, I put magenta on top of it. My hair was a nice mermaid color! After the color faded the green was no longer there either! :)

I've taken green out by using Paul Mitchells PM Shines in RB. you can dilute it so you can take it to the high lift colors. it works perfectly. I swear by it.

Green doesn't live in your hair forever! I got green out of my hair with Malibu c DDL I really hope you try it! I've been using the pink trick as well for toning greens out of silvers it's color wheel magic 💖 great job love!

Ketchup does work. I had a nasty swamp colored green in my blonde hair. And I left it on for like 30 minutes then shampooed and conditioned as usual and it was all gone :-)

I’m on a hair color journey and I went from black➡️green➡️teal➡️blue➡️purple. The purple was NOT fading so I tried to remove it but now I have this funky gray/mint green color when I want to go pink. But now I am confident that I’ll just be a fun lavender/blue after I put the pink on.
Just from the thumbnail i can say i absolutely love the purple.

I have left over teal/blueish green color that will NOT come out & so I am going to use this trick to make sure I do it properly without having to re color! Soooo grateful for this vid!!! Love that trick it worked amazingly. Turned out fantastic! As a hair stylist myself I was getting annoyed that Joey wouldn’t keep his hands out of his hair.
I often have pink and purple layers. Purple always leaves behind the green stain. I haven't needed to re-dye my purple, because I just cover the whole thing in pink, and the green stain comes out purple again.
So I wouldn't say that they green is *gone*, it's just covered up.
that's actually really interesting! pink over green then bleaching... it's like how I had a grey blue then I mixed permanent red with semi blue purple with a tad bit of bleach (the red was a hilift activated by the developer anyways) and voila! vibrant mint green. Honestly tho, I think what happened is the bleach cancelled the pigments and lightened the hair with the blue so yellow and blue made the mint green. No regrets!

For me, green/blue is easy to get rid of using red based purple/pink/red dye. Since red is the compliment of green...

I have a question about hair dye in general, color specifically.
Why don't permanent dyes come in blue, purple, green, pink, orange, etc. Fashion colors I think are what you call them. I've always wonder why this is.
