Während ich das schreibe, hab ich schon wieder Tränen in den Augen. Diese Nummer ist seit Jahren, das mit Abstand, Beste(!) was ich seither kennenlernen durfte. Ich kann "Scherben" hören, wenn ich traurig, wenn ich wütend, wenn ich glücklich bin, und es ist jedes Mal genau das, was ich in diesem Moment brauche. Ich bin euch so unfassbar dankbar, dass ihr "Ellende" ins Leben gerufen habt und ich wünschte, euch eines Tages dafür ein Bier ausgeben zu können. Abgesehen davon, dass ihr unfassbar gute Musik macht, habe ich insbesondere durch dieses Lied, Menschen in meinem Leben kennengelernt, die ich nicht mehr missen möchte. Menschen, mit denen, durch euch, eine Verbindung entstand, die ohne euch nicht möglich gewesen wäre. Menschen, die meinem Leben einen Mehrwert geben, den ich nicht in Worte fassen kann. Vielen Dank! I thought for >20 years i'd never find a band like Agalloch was...way melodic....but also with it's quite and harsh times...Ellende are perfect...into it's own way....a emotional rollercoaster...i can understand that the band is Lukas own therapy session to deal with the human nature....and therefore needed. Love the band, the vocals are exactly into the way to the way melodic songs, as it should be...if i'd being 20 years younger, and could play the guitar...i'd have only socially critical lyrics, and what fucks me up at our society here into germany...and that could only being screamed....and vocals like Ellende...no clean singing, ever. I do love also the acoustic instruments and parts into Ellende songs...there are rarely bands like these guys out there nowadays...everything, mostly is fucking mainstream, or what the usual are playing...the usual crap, what the masses are listening to...who needs their shit? I don't - and i don't give a fucking fuck about it. Ellende is one true gem, thanks for this great music, guys - you rock !!! \m/

Das beste Lied von Ellende. Ich bin großer Fan dieses Albums. Es hat mich lange begleitet und zählt zu meinen absoluten Lieblingsliedern überhaupt. Leider konnten die neueren Lieder nicht mehr solch eine Atmosphäre einfangen. Todbringer ist eines der besten Black Metal Alben aller Zeiten für mich. Danke dafür. P.S. Ich trauere immer noch dem Merch zu diesem Album nach, da ich Ellende erst entdeckt hatte als nichts mehr verfügbar war. ;)

Ive never got into Agollach, I never felt what so many have 🤷♂️.but I’m heavily inspired by Empyruim, MDB, paragon of beauty, drawn, Autumn blaze, ( early ) 3rd and the Mortal, Draconian, Doomv’s, Lethian Dreams, Alcest ect, ect, now this , caladan brood, sun off the sleepless and Grima. With emotionally charged music.
