I remember the rule of finding a good tapas bar was the more little pieces of paper on the floor, the better it was. I was in Benidorm four weeks ago, had a walk through tapas alley on more than one occasion but never saw the tell tale pieces of paper on the floor. Has this custom stopped?
I was there a week ago and was very disappointed with Tapas Alley, tourist tapas and not cheap, I had far better and cheaper Tapas in other Spanish bars.

you are right, its not the cheapest place for tapas but normally has a greater variety of dishes to choose
@Fred Teall I agree, I've lived in Spain and have had lovely tapas cheaper and much more choice but I suppose a lot of tourists don't know any better.
