Drowning Prevention Press Conference

So far this year, 49 children have tragically lost their lives due to drowning in the state of Florida.
Today, along with the Safe & Healthy Children's Coalition of Collier County, Florida Department of Health in Collier County, Collier County Sheriff's Office, North Collier Fire Rescue District, and Collier County Public School District, NCH held a press conference to discuss water safety and drowning prevention.
As temperatures rise, planning to be safe around water is crucial. Always designate a water watcher, fence in home pools, use Coast Guard-approved life vests, learn CPR, and enroll adults and children in swim lessons.
