I've watched numerous videos trying to troubleshoot my sprayer. THIS IS THE ONLY VIDEO THAT COVERED THE AIRHOLE ON THE STRAW, THANKS!
You are very welcome, we are pleased the video was helpful. Kind Regards WAGNER DIY
I found this video much more intuitive than the manual that came with the sprayer. Thanks Craig, really useful 👍
Glad it helped
Thats great to hear, many thanks

Brilliant product, does need a thorough clean but a little watch of a video goes a long way - our air hole on the inside tube bit got clogged up too, but easy fix! Makes light work of big spaces 👍🏻

Hello John, Thank you, we are glad you found the video helpful. Kind Regards WAGNER DIY
this is very helpful Craig. I do have a problem with my flexio3500. Tried paint dilution, flow and pressure combinations, clean air filter and all, but still see the spray is not smooth. Its blotchy and spitting. What can cause this.. too much dilution of paint..! too much air pressure..! not seeing Graco like results..
Hello the Flexio 3500 is a US machine you can check with then on this channel @Wagner-Spraytech. Kind Regards WAGNER DIY
Fantastic video Craig, I am curious about order of operations for doing a whole room, is it ceiling and then walls, or walls and then ceiling, logic tells me ceiling first, but just wanted to check.
Hello it is down to preference you can do it either way. Lots of decorators do ceilings and skirting first and then mask the skirting and the edge of the ceiling then spray the walls. As long as you mask anything you do not want to spray you will be ok. Kind Regards the WAGNER DIY Team
It really is your own preference, traditionally we'd of done ceiling first then the walls, I personal fine if your spraying them to start the walls first and leave to dry for a couple of days, then using a low tack masking tape with cover film mask the walls and spray paint the ceiling
bought one used , the blue filter in the air hose was switched around , the wood and metal attachment wasn’t included , have to make a run to the store and set back my paint project one day
Me and Diego want to thank you 😊
Thank you very much
I did some spot touching up and even though I used proper technique, there is visible flashing. How do I fix this with the sprayer??
Hi. I have a wagner procoat. I used at 1 job years ago. I can't get it to prime. Any recommendations? Thanks
You’re awesome
Thank you
Can these sprayers be used to spray Total Boat one part Topside paint?
Most of the bad reviews comes from people who use it incorrectly I been painting for 35 years and used 100 sprayers and 5000 dollar sprayers each has a purpose although some canned uses for each other but I've used this and for the price and what's expected it works great i stained thousands of feet of fencing with no prob and doors and casing !!!!
I have a wagner 6.6 shot and the motor sounds like it may be going out ,but it will not spray ..can you please help me, can you tell if I need to get another one.
I bought a Warner spray gun after watching this video hoping that I'd get the job done quicker. I spent more time diluting paint and trying to get the spray acceptable I lost a day and half bought roller in the end now selling my wagner spray gun and working into the night to make up.time
Hello Glen Like anything new you do have to spend time getting used to it. Was there anything specific that didn't work for you? We would appreciate the opportunity to point you to guides and advice to help you use the sprayer properly. Kind Regards the WAGNER DIY Team.
@@WAGNERUnitedKingdom the gun to me was to basic no nozzle adjustment perhaps the more expensive work better. I'm using a normal air sprayer gun which is working fine.
I have to say I love my w690. However, it takes practice to use, careful processes and fastidious cleaning, both of the sprayer and your part, but the result is well worth it.
If you're lazy and think this is just going to magically sprinkle unicorn painting dust on your work - think again. Learning to spray paint and do it well, takes practice, and this is a tool that requires some skill to master along with that.
Sadly, the Wagner marketing nonsense showing happy chappies in jeans and t-shirts spraying away merrily couldn't be farther from the truth. The instructions are pretty lame, and I spent a few hours on CZcams learning the basics, managing viscosity, controlling air pressure and combating orange peel issues. So this video is probably more useful than the instructions it comes with.
I will say one thing, it seems mine came with an assembly flaw. I was having real issues with splattering, especially when turning the paint volume right down. The paint wouldn't flow consistently and would also dry on the nozzle during spraying. I disassembled the whole gun and found what looked like to be some kind of PTFE tape wrapped around the inside of paint supply tube behind the nozzle assembly. It took a bit of work to get it out, but once I did the paint flowed properly I was able to achieve a very consistent spray pattern. So might be worth completely stripping the gun if you are having issues.
Learn the basic principles, practice using it and keep it and your workspace clean of dust and you can achieve pro level results - no doubt.
Hello Neil, Thank you, for your review of your experience so far and I am pleased the paint is flowing properly now. As paint is forced through a very small hole to create the spray, any particles in the paint can block the nozzle or cause it to spit. We would always recommend straining paint through a sieve before use. This helps avoid getting any particles which could cause blockages or spitting, particularly if the paint is not new. If you experience any further issues please can you make contact with or support team on FMB_GBSI_Technical-Support@wagner-group.com or call +44 1327 368410. Kind Regards the WAGNER DIY Team.

@@Sarah-hz3gy Hi, I'm sorry I'm not aware of the locations of the Australian outlets, have you tried looking on Wagners website, I mainly look at the UK one but they have a worldwide one too.
Thank you @@WAGNERUnitedKingdomfor giving a generic reply to Neil Stansbury's comment, it really warms the cockles of potential customers when you give a reply that completely ignores the point he raised. Clearly there was some kind of issue when his kit was manufactured, hence the contamination by PTFE tape, which was completely ignored in your reply. Whilst not desirable, there's so much going on in a manufacturing facility that contamination can sometimes occur, there's no need to pretend this did not or cannot happen. Anyway, he problem solved the issue, which is far preferable to the annoying customers who throw millions of items back at the manufacturer when a simple fault diagnosis could have prevented this.
@Neil Stansbury, I have discovered your most excellent, detailed review of this sprayer and, if you don't mind, I am going to post a copy of it in the comments here. It is undoubtedly the most useful review I have ever read on Amazon, and hopefully Wagner and others will like the comment so much that it gets driven to the top and becomes one of the first comments potential buyers read, because such an honest review would greatly increase the number of potential buyers whose fear of dipping their toes into the sprayer pond inevitably results in them walking away because of the unknowns. Your review takes away the clouds of fear and the unknown, and guides readers into a bit of self-analysis about whether they have the technical discipline and patience to allow this sprayer's excellent capabilities to come to the fore.
I salute you on your review and hope that Wagner recognise you should sales start to rise as a result of your review getting the number of eyes on it that it deserves.
ps I bought the W690 earlier today before I had even seen your review (because I have the kind of traits that your review states is needed to get the best of the sprayer) but if I hadn't already purchased it before reading your review then I would have been convinced into doing so.
Will I have to spend a bit more money following your guidance? Undoubtedly, but it will result in my experience of the machine being a lot more enjoyable, and save me from spending more money on a more expensive machine, so this will be a cost saving in the long run. The vast majority of people buying this sprayer will be a stranger to this sector and so they really, really wouldn't want to spend the much greater amounts involved in getting the more powerful machines, therefore it is important that they get the maximum performance and results from what most people will probably consider a sizeable investment over and above a paint brush, roller and scuttle/tray.
I have the Wagner flexio 2500 and I get paint splatter. How do I solve this?
I have a wagner sprayer for paint ready Station and the paint keeps spraying even when finger is not on trigger helppp this the second time I've used this thing

Can you spray a stop rot primer like zinsser BIN ? If so which sprayer to use
Hello the wood and metal spray attachement with the W590 would be suitable. That paint is thick so you would probably need to thin it before spraying. Regards the WAGNER DIY Team.
Is it detrimental to dilute a paint (water based) satinwood a further 10% (20% total) if it’s spraying too thick ?
Hello Ant it all depends on the paint that you are using. You are best to ask the paint manufacturer to get the proper answer. Kind Regards the WAGNER DIY Team.
Hey Craig - Any tips for applying Zinsser Allcoat water based? I spoke to Alan in the office who said simply that this was the wrong gun and I'd need a better (more expensive) one..., I'm panicking a bit as I just bought this and have 10 litres of Allcoat to put on a gazebo tomorrow 😅 So far I'm going with 10% dilution and using the smaller bottle. Any guidance much appreciated
Hi, Alan is correct - looking at the data sheet from the manufacturer, they recommend using an airless sprayer with a tip size of 0.013" - 0.017" at max. 10% dilution. You would certainly need one of our airless machines like the Control Pro 250M or 350M for optimum spraying results.
@@WAGNERUnitedKingdom Thanks for your reply. I also have a Control Pro 250M - Can you recommend (or post a link, ideally) to the tip I should be using, please? I have a 517 tip - is that up to the job with the Zinsser?
Many thanks.
(I achieved an adequate finish with the bigger of the two bottles on the posted gun) Allcoat is a nightmare to clean off - it sticks to everything!)
If the union nut on the front is too tight paint will spray out as the spray nozzle will be open. Have the union nut just tight enough, so no paint come out when you start the motor.
Thanks Bob that is good advice. Kind Regards The WAGNER DIY Team
I had a Wagner and it stopped working after a few days spraying. I returned it to Home Depot, and they said they are not designed to use primer latex paints, and espeially not if you thin your paint with water, u have to buy a special thinner, is that correct...thanks
Hello no that does not sound correct, if the paint is water based you would thin it with water. If it is oil based then you would thin it with the correct thinners as advised by the paint manufacturer. Spraying the paint does not change what you thin it with. Kind Regards the WAGNER DIY Team.
Hi. Just bought a Flexio 590. How do I get the best and smoothest surface? Grettings from Sweden
Hello Practice is key to get the best results. To familiarize yourself with your sprayer, we suggest practice spraying using the included Wagner spray poster, and if you need additional practice to get comfortable painting with a sprayer, large flattened out cardboard boxes work great too. Before you begin spraying paint make sure you’re comfortable spraying in both a horizontal and vertical spray pattern. By adjust the material volume and air flow you can achieve the finish that is right for you and the paint you are spraying. Kind Regards The WAGNER DIY Team
Can you spray ceilings with this given it needs to be tipped back to do that?
Hello Graham yes you can, you just cannot tip it all the way back, here is video showing and explaining czcams.com/video/YYqZ1ZxaLu8/video.html. Kind Regards the WAGNER DIY Team
What are the min/max storage temperatures for the Flexio 3000?
Hello the Flexio 3000 is a US machine you can check with then on this channel @Wagner-Spraytech. Kind Regards WAGNER DIY
Hi, I bought the NER 2369472 460W ELECTRIC FENCE & DECKING SPRAYER 220-240V, is there anything stopping me from painting a dashed garden wall with this sprayer or is it too weak? I know the reviews and ads are all about fences and garden furniture, but it sprays a nice fine costing, I'd be using water based paint..
Hello, this machine is only recommended for thin materials like wood treatment/stain. The spray attachment (nozzle) is only designed for these sort of materials also. Please follow these guidelines for the best spray results. If you need to spray thicker materials then please look at the W590 or W690. Thanks - The Wagner DIY Team.
@@WAGNERUnitedKingdom Thanks! we decided to keep the one we got, it did a nice job on a garden fence, just finished it before dark, If I had everything ready in front of me, I'd have the whole fence done in about 20 mins on both sides, time saver, good sprayer. gonna attempt a dashed wall next, paint is thin.
Ho comprato 590 FLEXiO ma il manuale non è in italiano dove lo posso trovare?
i craig do i need to dilute ronseal fence paint to use in my wagner
Thank you for your question. No, normally you do not need to dilute Ronseal fence paint for use in your Wagner sprayer. It's designed to be used directly from the can. Just make sure to stir the paint thoroughly before spraying. Kind regards, WAGNER DIY
Craig what's best for frenciqe paint mate ??
Hello Nick, with the Wagner HVLP paint sprayer you can use most fence paint types and brands, you don’t need specialist sprayable paints. You can use water and solvent-based paints but I would recommend using water based paints as they are easier to dilute if required and also easier to clean up afterwards. Using paint at room temperature also make them easier to mix and spray. To dilute and get the correct consistency/viscosity of paint you can use the Wagner stirrer which has 10% notches on the side. It is recommended to add 10% water/thinner and increase by 5% at a time. Getting the paint consistency right will ensure you get a professional finish. Kind Regards the WAGNER DIY Team
my hose keeps blowing off, also there was no mask included in box as stated and also the vertical horizontal is so bloody stiff. It's gone past the 30 days for amazon return as it's rained non stop and also was waiting for them to deliver my paint but I'm still going to return it for a refund under 12 month warranty
Thanks for this - the manual is awful and the exploded view fold out sheets don't always correspond with the instructions / parts descriptions. One thing - my containers both have an orange ring and a sachet of vaseline - no explanation as to wheter they are spares - or should be fitted before operation - or what the vaseline is for!?
Hello Ed to see a video where it explains about how to use those items please take a look here: czcams.com/video/fNTviUyKleU/video.html Kind Regards The WAGNER DIY Team
@@WAGNERUnitedKingdom appreciate this but same as this video. I would certainly suggest you either make the manual easier to understand and get a good translation - or at least put links to this video! Still not plucked up the courage to use it, but again weather been against me as I want to practise outdoors...
What about paint coming out of the two holes where the trigger pin passes through. Just turning the gun on and paint comes spewing out, magically when the nozzle is removed, it wont leak.

I've used my flex 3500 through about 30 tub refinishing. And cleaned the gun every use. It's been around 3 months since it was used and had a tub refinish to do. Went to go spray the tub and the unit started pouring from the trigger pin that goes through the gun. Well made my day screwed-up had a hell of a mess to clean up spent more time cleaning up spent more time cleaning up then making money. 😡😡😡
@@stower82 I learned you can't run laquer thinner through the guns, so then no laquer consequently. now I spray polyurethane and clean with mineral spirits.
@@andyfetzer9156 the paint for refinishing tubs is polyurethane. But I use acetone to clean it. Acetone may be too rough on the internals of the needle valve. Might have to try the mineral spirits
Can I use latex or acrylic paint in a Wagner paint sprayer
Hello Zota, with the Wagner paint sprayers you can use most paint types and brands, you don’t need specialist sprayable paints. I bought one 2days ago so far it is utter rubbish the paint seems to be splattering the wall the finish resembles the surface of the moon. I will contact Wagner but I feel it's going back. I feel it's waisting my time

I bought a 595 not too long ago, and I can't get it to work good for me. The paint always end up splotchy - no matter what the settings I use or how much I thin it down - it just spits out the paint. I'm trying to paint my walls and cabinets, not a Jackson Pollock.
Also, the "2 part" trigger doesn't seem to work on mine? I flip on the power switch and it automatically starts the airflow. The yellow part of the trigger moves independently and doesn't really seem to do anything until it depresses the black/bottom trigger.
Hello you would be better to go back to @Wagner-Spraytech as the Flexio 595 is sold in the US and is different to the W590 shown in this video. They should be able to help you. Kind Regards WAGNER DIY

I bought the Flexio 3500. Horrible piece of equipment. It just doesn't work! I tried every setting, couldn't get a decent spray going. I tried thinning my paint, that worked for 10 minutes before the nozzle clogged. I wasted so much time prepping to use a sprayer that just wouldn't work. I could have been done a day earlier with my painting project if I had of just gone with a brush and roller to begin with. Also all the talk about how easy it is to clean, well that isn't true. It takes just as long to clean as regular painting equipment. Please save yourself time, money, aggravation, your sanity and possibly your marriage and just use a brush and roller. I was thinking about selling my unit on Ebay but I don't know if I can in good conscience knowing how poorly it preforms.
