As she paused to have morning worship with her mother, little did Samantha Grady know what was in store for her that day. As they read and discussed Psalm 22, she recognized that the words penned by David as he fled from the wrath of King Saul were the same words Jesus spoke as He faced the wrath of Satan on the cross.
Later that afternoon, Samantha and her friend Helena found themselves cowering as they tried to avoid the bullets of a former student who shot and killed 17 students and staff at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Samantha was wounded, but survived.
Her friend Helena did not.
