I truly feel the same way whenever i get to fly… What a blessing the Lord has given us to be able to fly RC Planes and for us getting to know the hobby
:-) Nate, we all have done the same thing. Get right back on that horse. You are a very good pilot.
:-)
Thank you! I won’t let this little miss-hap keep me grounded! However I would like to get Abby in the air with this airplane soon now that’s it’s got a scuff or two! Her rules, not mine!! 😅👍❤️⚓️
Full flaps on a windy day don't work. I've done that very same thing. No biggie. Live and learn. Thanks guys still fun.
He’s right. In general, flaps are not needed on any foam airplane for any reason, because the wing loading is so low. You should particularly avoid using them on takeoff.
Flaps on foamies are just a nod to scale detail, nothing more.
Love the twin Beechcraft!! Stupid crash was AWESOME, then Nate performs MAGIC and then up we go!! Thanks Saylors for the extra effort to brave the wind to video this really FUN ride!! 💟👍😘
Glad you mentioned you weren't able to judge the speed since it was coming right at you. That's a simple concept I hadn't thought of before.
Wow that thing is pretty dang tough, Love the Beechcraft 🔥
What is scale flying? What does it mean?
Full Flaps during windy conditions is always a bad idea on light foam planes damn you should know that by now Nate!
Great flight, and great plane. Stuff happens. The only thing missing was Abby:
"(GASP) what did you deee-uuuu?!?" Hahaha, I love that. Thanks and be well guys :)
I have a ZIroli Beech D-18 in C45 livery I got when my father past away. It was his last model build he didn't finish so I did. I got one flight and now it's a hanger queen. Maybe one day it will fly again.
Flyin' like you know how! ;) 4:22- "Square adjacent"...I was expecting a much uglier crash. Thought you were gonna do the same thing over again that second time around! Plane looks great in flight, and I know, I can tell, you enjoy flying that thing! It is a gorgeous looking plane. Great video!
You fly it like a spitfire 😂
Kinda early squad where you guys at happy flying all 😊😊😊😊⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
I have this plane because of your very first video of it and i have to say this is my absolute favorite of all 14 of my planes. I am new to the hobby not even a full year of flyin and this was my first big plane i flew.. thank you for making me love this hobby more and more every video you post
Yea Yea Saylor, was the sun in ur eyes & no Wheaties 4 breakfast too?
he he ha
Lol, I believe my reasoning for that stall was legitimate! 😅 But it’s very true! We RC pilots love blaming any other factor than our own dumb thumbs!! 😂👍💯⚓️
He didn’t have enough soy lol
Always enjoy the Sailors. 👍👍
Great looking plane. It's lucky you were low & slow, @ crash time. Plane received the equivalent of a dislocated shoulder , and Dr. Nate was able to Re-locate the Dis-locate.😄😄😉😉. Professionally videod by Nurse Abby. 😁😁😏😏. Another great operation video by med team Saylor. ⚓️⚓️💚💛🧡👍😄😉😁😏👍⚓️⚓️.
"The pilot just puked" my thought every time I see a 3D heli in action 😄
Shame about the tip stall there too, sometimes the wind doesn't forgive! Nice classic bird.
Abby and Nate y'all rock! Love the channel and content. Peace
It looks like a really nice plane
This is one of the best flying twins on the market 🎉
I definitely agree! And it looks great both on the ground and in the air! 👍💯😎⚓️
Nate, Love the Twinbeech. I learned to fly in the full scale Beech 18-S years ago. If you ever get the chance to go for a flight in one, don't pass it up. It will be an experience you will never forget. Just the sound of those 2 Pratt & Whitney R-985 engines is enough to raise the hair on the back of your neck. I will be looking forward to seeing it fly again. I would love to see E-Flite come out with a scale 310 Cessna in the future. Another nice twin.
Landing with a crosswind is so nerve wracking.
Bummer.xd I hope they give us an updated mosquito bigger of course
You need several vomit bags…..ooops they are called etiquette bags….for your passengers.
You scuffed your vehicle!! Cool Plane!!
Because of you I learned to fly
So glad it wasn’t destroyed. 😂
Me too!! I was so worried! Now, Abby should be the one to fly it next!! 😉👍💯⚓️
It's quite durable for that kind of rough landing!
LOL Nate ya kill me!!!! You do things the exact opposite of me. You have a large kinda scary looking tip stall, the plane hits pretty hard, one wing is all askew (which is actually kinda fun to say...his wing is askew!. Go ahead say it a few times, ask Abby to as well I'll wait...) but then you bring it back to the pits and after a click here and well actually a nothing there, you are back in the air and you just have to glue a light on a wing tip. I love that. Me on the other hand, I could make a perfect landing, roll the plane to a gentle stop, pick up the plane and watch in horror as the plane falls into eleventy million pieces.
Sigh...well I am happy for you, it's all the clean living brother. Keep em flying, add a little more throttle and point the nose down a tetch ( good anti-tip stall advice) and keep praying. Remember the take off is optional, the landing is mandatory. Hi Abby !!!!! Big wave🙂
I actually bought this plane and the Commander after watching your videos. Keep up the great content. Your crash was hard to watch but she’s still pretty. Just added character. 12:38
You don't need flaps with these light foamy's with stiff winds. Especially where you fly with an endless runway.
Aww man don't like to see that... Altho the damage isn't too bad..... its still damage hope you get it sorted real soon.still a beautiful plane and flight. From past vids I think your a pretty good pilot so just goes to show...... really love the fact you give thanks for the important things brother ❤.
Can you mount a GoPro on there? Some fpv footage mixed in there would be sweet!
Sometimes we do! But honestly struggle with having the extra time for editing and filming with such young kids. Some of our videos do have these extra angles and shots, and it’s always fun when we’re able to pull it off 👍💯❤️⚓️
This is not a beginner fligher. Or very cool 😎
Love mine. I got it because my dad had a full size.
Oh man, I am all too familiar with that feeling. That D18 handled it like a champ, though. It could've been so much worse.
As far as the ic3/ic5 thing, if you're cramming two 4s 2200's in parallel, it's perfect!
Nice saves in that heavy wind, Nate 👍
Just when you least expect it, asleep at the sticks.
By the way, watch the funny movie: It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad World. released in 1963. They fly a plane like this one , scenes to die for….
Not sure about your "right rudder" comment during takeoff. This plane has counter rotating props. There is no torque effect. The problem you're having is the differential thrust on the ground. This plane is really sensitive to thrust input during taxiing and take-off.
Hahaha agree
Здравствуй, товарищ! Классный самолёт и классный обзор. Желаю тебе мягких посадок!
Haha we have all been bitten by a warbird stalling. Sometimes we get away with it sometimes we dont haha could of been so much worse 🔥🔥🔥👊🏼
Thought you had machine guns a 5:59!!
Landing into variable winds is a challenge, and there is always the variable that if the winds shift, you can stall. That is why most planes have a maximum amount of wind they can fly safely in part because of this.
Nate, have you flown your big gasser since you bought it?
Sadly no… I need to buy a trailer to transport it and funds have been a little tight lately. I’ve been searching for used options but they are also pretty expensive. She’s still proudly sitting in our garage though! 👍💯😎❤️⚓️
This is a beautiful airplane. The old twin tailed twins are particularly beautiful.
Sorry younstslled it, but even the best of us crack up once in a while. Any crash that only requires minor repair is no big deal.
Nice good video
Dihedral Angle effect, lost. Ouch.😔
Just need to solder yourself up some adapters back and forth IC3 to IC5 and vice versa
Where do you mount your remote ID when you fly at this non-FRIA site?
Can you do review of the Redcat machete 6s
Strong Winds eliminate the need for flaps and if you do this over n over you are asking for hard stalls
how many channels is the plane? i only have a 6 channel transmitter and this going to be my first plane with retracts so i hope it’s only 6ch. Thanks!
A little more speed and less flap deflection in a strong crosswind or headwind usually works out quite well. Very cool plane and review. I give this review a B and the plane gets a C-.........
Hey, I actually really like the idea of our reviews getting reviews!! Haha, super awesome! (I was a “B” student in school so this makes me pretty happy!!) Well until Abby came along and motivated me to do better so I graduated on the Deans list. But before Abby, Bs all the way!! 😉😅👍⚓️
Can you do a cheap edf video
Please answer my previous question. I'm a drone pilot and always wanted to get into rc planes, and I enjoy your and Abby's videos. I have questions on rc planes and need your help! I'm looking for a beginner bnf plane that fits my needs, and 6 months or a yr after a more advanced plane.
Happy to help! Sometimes we just miss comments 😅 What radio are you wanting to bind to? ⚓️
@TheRcSaylors I don't know if my DJI mini 2 controller would work. But I want to control the motor, elevators, rudder, ailerons, flaps, and have telemetry and buy 1 controller that I can grow into without upgrading later. Here are the controllers I'm looking at: Spektrum DX9 ($385) or Radiomaster TX16 ($200)
I don’t think the DJI controller is easily usable for things other than DJI. And if it is, you’ll be buying their overpriced receivers so I’d steer clear of that if I were you. Now I’m not saying Spektrum is the better choice between it and Radiomaster, but I fly Spektrum. Mainly because everyone flys Spektrum which makes buying and selling second hand really nice for BNF models. Also, it’s easier to use than Radiomaster. Have you considered saving some money and looking at the new NX7e?
@@TheRcSaylors Nice suggestion on the NX7e cause I am looking for a BNF controller and a BNF beginner plane for my 1st plane. What beginner BNF planes would you suggest under $200
I have only one suggestion, because it is THE BEST plane to learn on. Aeroscout. Some don’t like the way it looks, but it WILL teach you how to fly and take a pretty good beating. I hope these suggestions have helped! If you wouldn’t mind, please consider ordering your stuff using one of our Horizon links. It’ll help support us. Happy Flying and if you have more questions, please post them as a new comment! Easier for me to find! 👍🙏⚓️
@TheRcSaylors can you review the F-8 from motion rc?
We will definitely check it out! 👍💯⚓️
Are you guys gonna do a review on the apprentice s15
Already did! 😉💯👍😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors I was only able to find the mini
czcams.com/video/3l0mTR2jmWo/video.html
Is this the airplane you are referring to?
early pls respond rc saylors i wanna flex to my freinds that you responded!
Hello. I came across your channel and I stick around for a week now, you produce great content and Its very refreshing to see RC channel not full of aggressivity and violance, but just joy and emotions. Its great you dont go too technical…but it would be great if you would think about some tutorial/comparison video regarding flight transmitters. So many of them, some crazy expensive. Could you shine some light into this for a starting begginer? What does the screens on those radios do? Can you get $500 radio and use it with any plane you will get down the road?
Just a thought. Thanks for what you do. Wishing you all the best, now hitting that subscribe 😉
Please don’t use a damaged and out of balance propeller. It a safety issue and in all the AMA and BMFA safety guidelines. Not only could it damage your plane and make it crash, but bits could fly off it.
new wings ends arent that much.. i have a spare set for mine and props also...
That’s a good idea to keep spare wing tips on hand for this airplane! I definitely need a couple props now 😉👍💯😅⚓️
Ohhhh noooo
Meh… tippy rock… a little actual engineering and it would have stalled straight…washout and a more stall robust airfoil at the tips are obvious solutions… but appreciate the effort you and the missus put into the review. 👍
Thank you very much!! I don’t often stall like this, if I do stall. This was a fun, and interesting learning opportunity for me! Have an awesome day! 👍💯😎⚓️
That's scale lol most 1:1 warbirds stall like a brick, quickly and violently
Imagine the passengers after flight. 😅
I know you’re trying to show off the different accessories of the airplane but with that runway, you definitely do not need flaps.
Just got to slow. Also you should study up on proper cross wind controls. It will help you to keep straight instead of ground looping and tearing up a wing tip.
I just never fly when there is any wind.
I usually do okay, but today I think because of the direction of the wind, I couldn’t see my airspeed and boom. Stall. Hey, got fairly lucky this time as she still flies!! 👍💯😎❤️⚓️
You should.
It makes you a better pilot. Avoiding flying when it’s windy is like avoiding weight lifting because the weights are heavy. How are you supposed to become strong?
I think you should try the Rx jet plane with the real jet engines the turbine jet engines that are like the real jet engines and they run on fuel not battery
thats un lucky
Looking for a single beginner plane for myself, my 5 and my 8 year old to enjoy together. (The days of affording three different planes for each of us are over…for now, praying adults are back in US office in 2025)
Any suggestions RCSaylors?
I suggest an AeroScout, Comes with everything you need.
@@EJ-74 what a great suggestion! I just watched the RCSaylor’s video with it. Thank you!
@@dcarts5616 You're welcome, I have one and it is a great trainer and it can easily do barrel rolls loops etc once you advance, It comes with really decent electronics compared to most RTF models, It also has telemetry which tells you when you're battery is getting low and it's time to land, very nice feature to have, I do suggest getting a decent charger and extra battery, I bought a Prophet mini sport from horizon hobby, it will charge 2S 3S and 4S capable, I think it cost around $40, The charger it comes with works fine it's just very slow. If you have any questions feel free to ask, ✌🏻
pretty sure it was a gremlin
Opps…
ohhh how the mighty has fallen.....
What’s this supposed to mean? We all crash! We are all human! We are all capable of falling, and I “fall” daily! 👍❤️💯⚓️
No way, You are good Pilot...please, give me a break
I appreciate that! Honestly I don’t think I’m all that good compared to a LOT of people out there. However, I’m good enough to really enjoy this hobby 👍💯😎⚓️
Crash at 7:35
Well this is not a very nice comment. It implies that you don’t have enough patience to enjoy our video. Watch time really impacts what CZcamsrs make, so for you to time stamp this you are literally making active efforts to take food away from my family 😢❤️⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors you assumed I didn’t watch the entire video, subsequent crash and broken wing? Saw it all . Your flying skills are excellent, but the crash happened at 7:35 I guess I should send back all those aircraft I purchased off your links too? I have found that many of the E flite twins don’t fly very well and even rudder control can not tame them.
Why is the world coming to this? So much negativity and unwillingness to find common ground. We are definitely grateful for your support, but wanted to share why time stamping can really hurt a channel. Most don’t know about watch time, which is why I took the time to explain it 🙏❤️💯⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors because most come for the crash and not the aerobatics….
@@TheRcSaylors stated, "So much negativity," after beginning a reply with, "Well this is not a very nice comment. It implies that you don’t have enough patience..." Hmmm...
Rip
First other than you
Too many ads..bye
What ads are you talking about? 🤔🤷♂️
@@TheRcSaylors mid roll
CZcams determines how many ads are on a video, even if we have ads turned off, CZcams still deserves the right to play ads on our videos. It might have been the time of day, determining how man, and what ads you were seeing. Hey, it’s free content and those ads do help to support our channel and family as well, though it’s not much, we are still grateful 🙏❤️💯⚓️
@TheRcSaylors from what I read from xjet you set if you want mid roll ads. You have the choice to use them or not.
@@ror-ys3qpYou are right
pining your description is a little disrespectful to your fans
Pinning our description is disrespectful to our fans? How so? We have a lot of older viewers in our audience that struggle to find the description box because CZcams moves it and makes it difficult and this does two things when we pin our own comment. It makes it easier for our viewers to find the products being featured, which also helps us because literally the only payment we receive to do videos is the small amount of ad revenue and IF a person clicks our link and buys something we make a small commission. Seems like a very fair trade off for the free content we make! What are your thoughts? Would you do 70 - 80 hours of work for free for ten years? We do enjoy doing this, but definitely couldn’t do it as much as we do if our viewers didn’t help support us. And for that we are grateful. 🙏❤️⚓️
You were one of the kids who cheered after getting a participation medal huh?
Too gorgeous to crash…….
Can’t be thanking god like he really blessed you but skipped out on everyone else who’s getting blown up in Ukraine or Palestine, or homeless, or murdered, etc. God ain’t all good or all powerful if they be selectively blessing 😭
Free will! And just because we are safe and fed today doesn’t mean the roles won’t be reversed some time from now. I’m thankful for His Blessing we’ve experienced today 🙏❤️✝️⚓️
I pay for premium to avoid ads, but sadly more and more starting with product placement. Good bye
You pay youtube not the creator. Also the placement is at the end of the video not mid video. Get over yourself.
What ad are you even talking about? Or product placement?
Either you mistook a review video for an ad, or you've been huffing some of Terry's Turbo crystals, because I didn't see an ad or product placement, other than the product that was in the title, and that the video is about.
Not a "CRASH". Pilot error resulting in a stall while landing... plane flying 2 minutes later. Please don't label this a "CRASH" if it's not a "CRASH".
Do all crashes have to be “explosions” ? It was still a crash, just a mild one. I thought people would be happy to watch a fun flight, ending in a crash that I was able to quickly repair and fly again! 👍💯❤️ Thanks for watching! 😎⚓️
CRASH in caps is misleading... and I feel that you know that. If that's how you want to represent yourself and your channel then that's a shame. Try to be a bit more honest.
Dude that was so a crash just because technology gets us in the air faster doesn't mean it wasn't a crash
@TheRcSaylors you are correct sir any info is a help just cuz some douche canoe wants to critique ur content don't feel bad send all the content you guys can there are pilots out here that appreciate it
I do agree with that statement of crash, or You have to say mishap
way to slow allowing it to drag in with the flap trim set completely wrong
