As much as the ending is endearing, am I the only one who is disappointed that love interest part ended with just a picture and not a scene. Not even a short clip, even just a few frames of them together would've made me happier or is that asking for to much.

(lone wolf and parting ways rlly show that) although yeah, it wouldve been nice to have a scene with sean in mexico 😔 idk. maybe like the ending of LiS1 episode 1 and 2 with the montages of everyone doing their own thing

I hate that Sean and Daniel are separated, but I feel like this is the best possible ending you can get for them. They're both seemingly living their best lives, Sean reunites with the one he loves. It's heartbreaking but kinda fuzzy too. Sure, they stick together in the Blood Brothers ending but they've done some pretty terrible things to get to that point.
Sadly, it seems like Daniel is under house arrest in the ending. Either that or for some reason he was a watch thingy on his ankle. I willing to bet it's house arrest though. Sure, he could be in jail so it's not all bad, but still a bit sucky that Daniel can't live his life completely freely.

I love this ending, but I'm a bit sad that we don't get to hear what happens with the other person we didn't decide to romance, regardless of who that may be. Would've been nice if they all just stayed in contact, including Penny & Hannah.
I was upset about the splitting up ending because I thought he was in Mexico all alone till a coincidence again of meeting Finn or cas but now I'm not because I didn't really realize Sean was in direct contact with his love interest; which means he wasn't alone for too long I don't think. (Either way I feel happier about this ending knowing about the letters from them and such)
It's cool that we see Daniel still has his powers and uses them. After the first Life Is Strange game I just kind of wondered if Max still had her powers, or if they went away after Chloe died(or afrer they left the bay). Maybe it was clear to everyone else. I am usually pretty slow with this stuff.

But even if we wanted max to go back in time she needed a photo to travel that far back in time. Even if she wanted to help the Diaz brothers. They didn't take pictures so she can't go to certain events and fix what happened.
i just finished streaming this game. it's really awesome going and watching everyone else's endings and how they played the game and the different outcomes. i think this one was super cute. I forgot you could go this route. I think i played it too safe though. definitely might replay the game to get the different outcomes.

its the best ending cause Daniel got normal childhood and didnt turn into mass murderer. And Sean didnt lost 15 years of his life for nothing and get to be happy living with Finn (or Cassidy) at the beach. even tho its sad they separated but its the best outcome
What makes me sad about this ending (besides Sean and Daniel being separated despite everything Sean went through for Daniel) is that Sean has to leave his "home" as a US citizen. His father gave up everything of his life in Mexico so he could have a family in the US. Sean himself is often given a choice to talk about being an American. I think the writers of the story wanted to draw a parallel between Mexicans who want to escape to live in the US and an American who wants to escape the US to live in Mexico, but I really wish we were given an ending option where Sean wouldn't have to go to jail if he stayed in the US, especially since we are given the option to play Sean as a (mostly) law abiding citizen. There are many statements the authors could have made with an ending like that as well, such as themes of fighting for your home and heritage.
After watching several streams and all the endings, and playing myself, I think they made a couple of regrettable writing choices (I can't presume to call them 'mistakes') in the 'Moral Daniel' endings. In the "Parting Ways" ending(s), they didn't do enough to set up Daniel's decision to stay, so it seems sudden and arbitrary. A little stronger (and repeated) dialogue about not wanting to hurt people anymore, and something like maybe, 'You'll be safe in Mexico; I'll be OK,' would have helped. They might also have foregone the dangerous (to all parties!) break-through spectacle scene: imagine Daniel saying his piece, then, with both of them crouching, Daniel tells Sean, "Jump in the air. This time, you're the superwolf," and sending him flying over the gate. Or something. In the "Redemption" ending(s), fifteen years seems very harsh indeed: there is no way a jury would convict Sean of killing the cop, given the complete lack of physical evidence, and the fact that the cop had just shot his father certainly explains their flight from the crime scene (and a good lawyer who knows all the facts under attorney-client privilege could probably accomplish a lot). Indeed, billing them as 'suspects' all along instead of 'persons of interest' was hard to justify. A little extra programming based on other choices (at the gas station, escaping the hospital, etc.) could change that number to something between six years (the same as the other endings) and, say, ten, without losing that ending's bittersweet quality. Still, it gave the artists the chance to recede Sean's hairline a little. Parenthetic footnote. They probably should have also established arbitrarily that Daniel cannot levitate _himself_, which would explain why he couldn't just fly the car over. Because everyone wonders about that. All it would take would be one changed line of dialogue as Sean helps Daniel down during the hike at the beginning.

I don’t even care who’s he with. I will always love this ending since Sean will be with either Cassidy or Finn, having a new life with someone, while Daniel gets to live a normal life. And in the end, they still communicate to each other!
For this one you have to (at least overall) raise/show Daniel throughout the game to choose the moral way over the easy one and decide to cross the border in the end. He helps you, but stays. 😇 On a side note, I find it odd that Finn apparently doesn't end up with them in that ending. Maybe because Cassidy clearly wouldn't be fine with their criminal lifestyle and DONTNOD didn't want to give one of the two preferential treatment - ironic given how in episode three Sean can only have sex with Cassidy #stillsouraboutthat. Plus, it saves them having to do two more character models. In my head canon he's out shopping. 😛

I think I'm one of the few who who wish Jacob was the gay romance interest of Sean instead of Finn. Finn's reaction when he grabbed the money from Merill's safe showed how greedy he is and totally killed his likeability for me.
He had good intentions though, and he apologizes for that if you talk to him in the hospital. I think it's good that they gave us a love interest that's not perfect (kinda like Chloe in LIS 1, she has her selfish moments too)

I know I’m gonna get hated for saying this but I do not ship Sean and Finn, Sean and Cassidy for life✊ it’s just I’ve never trusted Finn I knew he was shady as fuck the first time I met the character and he pissed me off when he used Daniel to do bad things.
Episode 3 is where I was kinda hating eveyone but Sean (and Cassidy, a little). But the shit that Finn pulls at the end (regardless of if you choose him or not) combined with me already not really liking him before, put him up there as my least favorite character in this whole game. If Sean is gay/bi he can do way better. He can hook up with the ghost of Warren from the first game and they can bond over how they got screwed by a person they only ever tried to help xD

In addition to everything @Triva_DEX has written, I'd like to point out that episode two already hinted at it by him being needlessly ambiguous to Claire about his crush's sex and that even the most "heterosexual" dialog option when asked about it in episode three only has him say that he _prefers_ girls, meaning every LIS2 playthrough's Sean Diaz is bisexual (which is appropriate as unlike for example a Bioware protagonist he is largely a predefined character). So, tough luck for you & your lack of imagination.

For this one you have to (at least overall) raise/show Daniel throughout the game to choose the moral way over the easy one and decide to cross the border in the end. He helps you, but stays. 😇
On a side note, I find it odd that Finn apparently doesn't end up with them in that ending. Maybe because Cassidy clearly wouldn't be fine with their criminal lifestyle and DONTNOD didn't want to give one of the two preferential treatment - ironic given how in episode three Sean can only have sex with Cassidy #stillsouraboutthat. Plus, it saves them having to do two more character models. In my head canon he's out shopping. 😛
I think you have to kiss Finn, Daniel need a high moral level and Sean have to go to Mexico in the final decision.

Not really, there's an ending where Daniel gets out of the car and kills the police at the border; Then the brothers drive to Mexico and live in Puerto Lobos

I think I'm one of the few who who wish Jacob was the gay romance interest of Sean instead of Finn. Finn's reaction when he grabbed the money from Merill's safe showed how greedy he is and totally killed his likeability for me.
He had good intentions though, and he apologizes for that if you talk to him in the hospital. I think it's good that they gave us a love interest that's not perfect (kinda like Chloe in LIS 1, she has her selfish moments too)

I know I’m gonna get hated for saying this but I do not ship Sean and Finn, Sean and Cassidy for life✊ it’s just I’ve never trusted Finn I knew he was shady as fuck the first time I met the character and he pissed me off when he used Daniel to do bad things.

I mean, I REALLY wasn't down for Finn's Kamikaze bullshit, but I do like his overall character and how he is towards Sean and Daniel.
Episode 3 is where I was kinda hating eveyone but Sean (and Cassidy, a little). But the shit that Finn pulls at the end (regardless of if you choose him or not) combined with me already not really liking him before, put him up there as my least favorite character in this whole game. If Sean is gay/bi he can do way better. He can hook up with the ghost of Warren from the first game and they can bond over how they got screwed by a person they only ever tried to help xD

In addition to everything @Triva_DEX has written, I'd like to point out that episode two already hinted at it by him being needlessly ambiguous to Claire about his crush's sex and that even the most "heterosexual" dialog option when asked about it in episode three only has him say that he _prefers_ girls, meaning every LIS2 playthrough's Sean Diaz is bisexual (which is appropriate as unlike for example a Bioware protagonist he is largely a predefined character). So, tough luck for you & your lack of imagination.
