      @@Toys4Life Oh absolutely I told them I am never going to sell that car ever and I am going to put so many kilometers/miles on it driving it around I am so excited Pontiac Fiero's to me were cars such ahead of their time. Mid engine, affordable, pop up headlights, 2 doors, it just ticks all the boxes for a fun car. I only got to drive mine on 2 short drives before it blew up (long story, water pump didn't work neither did temperature gauge), now I hope with the 3800sc it will stay reliable for a long time. My mechanics re-wired the whole thing too so it won't have old wiring in it. Sorry for the long rant, love Fieros, love Fiero content, keep up the great work. Shout-out to everyone riding around in a Fiero still

    Good content, I would recommend a smaller pulley instead of more timing. From my experience 20° of timing increases the risk of spinning a rod bearing .

    • @Toys4Life
      @Toys4Life  Před 2 lety +1

      How so, did you get too much knock and it put too much load on the rod bearing. Are you saying I need to call ZZP, order their SC Snout machining tool and a 2.6 pulley? You might be onto something, every single time I have dropped pulley sizes all the way to the 2.8 that I have now, I have gained MPH and lowered ET. Hmmm....

    • @lukedoehrman2304
      @lukedoehrman2304 Před 2 lety

      @@Toys4Life my car never knocked on e85 on the 2.8 with a gen v but I was running 18°. Theory is that it's so much advance that it can compress the bearings. Seen it happen on a few of my friends cars. Instead of machining the snout maybe swap to a gen v if you can find one cheap?

  • @FieroAustin
    @FieroAustin Před rokem +1

    Hey what shocks and struts are you running at the drag strip?

    • @Toys4Life
      @Toys4Life  Před rokem +1

      Just some Monroe's / Gabriel's in the back, nothing special. In the front I like to remove the shocks and the sway bar to get the weight transfer to the rear and reduce some weight.

    • @FieroAustin
      @FieroAustin Před rokem +1

      @@Toys4Life oh interesting, thought that wasn't allowed on the strip. Do you have stock spring rates? Thanks for the reply.

    • @Toys4Life
      @Toys4Life  Před rokem +1

      Stock springs but they're cut to lower it a little bit. The rear rides fine, the front ends a little stiff but manageable.

    Put a intercooler on it and call it a day

    • @Toys4Life
      @Toys4Life  Před 2 lety

      Nope, too restrictive and small of a core in my humble opinion. Richard Holdener dyno'd it and gained a whopping 14 HP. He had a similar setup too - so IMO, not worth it. If it was a remote intercooler like my C5 has then HELL YES. No restriction and major temp drop. czcams.com/video/7AhjNay2-bY/video.html

    I have an 88 Fiero gt, with the Muncie/Getrag 5 speed. I'm thinking about doing the 3.8 supercharged swap. Will the stock tranny mount up to the 3.8?

    • @Toys4Life
      @Toys4Life  Před rokem
