Watching Andrea do this was a real eye opener for me. I had a husband who could do it all. Thirty years ago he redid our staircase - while I was a work. Took him a couple of days, but he did it alone. How I don't know. I don't think I ever really appreciated how difficult it was for him, until I saw what Andrea (with Dean's help) had to go through. Tonight in my prayers I will thank him for a job well done. Andrea and Dean - you always bring a smile to my face - and all of us need that sometimes. Thanks.
My question is........... Could you guys make a video about all the mold remediation that happened in your house? You guys have shown little clips here and there but I was wondering if you can do a deep dive into absolutely everything that had to get done including all the outside stuff and how it was possible considering how much all of that cost? Like if it was, 'take out a second home mortgage' kind of expensive? I know that's probably very personal but I think it could be helpful for other people out there to know what kind of cost and labor goes into things like that. Plus things like how it was detected in the first place and how it happened? How that inconvenience affected your family and how you coped during that time?
How will the mold remediation affect your decision to sell your house?
I think it's just a rare and unusual topic that could be a great opportunity to share the experience with others to make it less scary if it happens to one of us.

When your drill is bogging down like that move it to speed one if you have a speed select on the drill. Especially with a larger drill bit you need to slow down the drill.

Wow! Great work once again Andrea. I, like you, just end up doing all of the remodel projects in our home myself, including building furniture I could not afford or find that fit my space. However, this is definitely one I would pay someone for, which makes this even more impressive to me. Lowes needs an “Over here, Dean!” aisle app. Congrats on all that geometry! As soon as Andrea said that first spindle was too short I saw why. I think I would have made the same mistake. Love your solution for holding the rail in place screwed to the wood and the rail and triangle templates. I knew Andrea was going to ace it even if by a small chance there was a miscalculation along the way. Clever lady! ❤
The math and the angels needed makes my head hurt! I had no idea building a stair rail or making any cuts would be so difficult.

Every time i went into a Lowes store, right up to the part when Lowes turned into Rona suddenly. I had found a hardware chain that i really liked and they sold off all their Canadian stores. Great job on those angles Andrea you are the Queen of thinking outside the box. you rock even the hardest angles. Honestly i hated math because i wasn't very good at getting the concept of the different angles and fractions and its a running joke in our house that i am always one or two off. lol i sucked at math big time. Yet i had a successful career in retail go figure. I love watching this channel cos you guys work so well together. Look how far you guys have come from flipping furniture to figuring out complex angle cuts making your own furniture pieces and you have such a lovely family too gorgeous house and such a great design head on your shoulders too. I've never used this method on a forstener bit, but with regular bits it works wonders: drill just a little bit straight down and then, with the bit still spinning, slowly move your drill to get the desired angle. You can also make a template piece that you clamp on top and that guides your bit at the correct angle (kinda like a custom pocket whole maker)
I love the chemistry you guys have! I laugh each time with the goofy staff that Dean does (hitting his head in the post, modeling). Andrea you have a unique talent and you can create wonders!

Questions - Why don't you invest in a trailer your mini van can tow? Not have to remove and reinstall seats every time you
transport materials.
Garage - why not finish organizing your garage and setting it up for a work shop? Won't have to bring all the tools out side to
the driveway and put them all away each time.
Protective safety gear - concerned you don't wear protective safety glasses, wearing flip flops that could trip you up and not
having your hair tied back, especially when using the saws. TY

Or if adjusting the drill speed doesn’t work for harder wood I find using a plug in drill has enough Umph versus a battery operated one.

Are you going to replace the handrail on the other wall as it looks weird not going all the way down it seems to end halfway up the wall. But you've done a great job as always xxx
It is easier when drilling the holes to start with a drill bit that is half the size needed and then change to the right size bit
