      He does just fine screaming. Usually half of their setlists consist of pre-Heritage material. This is just one song out 8 albums worth of songs where he screams. Also, I heard it’s a pretty hard song to play.

    One of Opeths best songs, 1999 was such an amazing year to be a melodic death metal fan. In addition to Opeth releasing Still Life, In Flames released Colony, Dark Tranquility - Projector, Tristania - Beyond the Veil, Arch Enemy - Burning Bridges to name a few albums. Such a good year, 95 - 05 was absolute fire for this genre.

    This plays into my suspicions that Axe was playing Lopez's kit for this tour---AFAIK Axe has always been endorsed by PDP/DW, and here he's quite obviously playing Tamas, which is what Lopez was playing before he left. I could swear the kit he was playing on the Roundhouse tapes was the same kit Lopez was playing before he left.

    Do you know if this show had an FM broadcast? The previous night was broadcast on Triple J, however only part of the show was recorded and it's missing White Cluster, Baying of the Hounds, Under the Weeping Moon and Closure. I have the bootleg with just the 5 tracks that were broadcast.
    They supposedly also played Credence and Night and the Silent Water at this particular show on the 24th, but I can't find a full bootleg of it.

      @The_Karst  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey there! Sadly, just the first night had an FM broadcast - and only those 5 songs were saved. There's a possibility the rest are sitting on someone's hard drive somewhere, but they definitely weren't broadcast and I've never found a trace in the last 16 years. Is there a particular track you're looking for?
      Edit: duh, just saw that you're looking for Credence and Night and the Silent Water.

      @@The_Karst Thanks a bunch for the response! Ah, I suspected as much, otherwise I'd assume they'd have turned up somewhere by now.
      To be honest, I was actually looking for HQ versions of Moonlapse Vertigo and Serenity Painted Death (or as HQ as possible). I'm working on a personal project to create live compilations for each Opeth release, and I've been trying to get my hands on as many soundboard bootlegs as I can. I was just hoping there was a soundboard for these two Still Life songs, as I've obtained the rest from different sources. Although now I'd probably settle for A-rated AUD recordings. I would actually love to perhaps ask if you'd be willing to share any of the bootlegs I may be looking for, but I do understand if you're not able to share them for any reason.
