- What's it like to be a multi-millionaire Shark Tank Star? These days, I'm going a little stir crazy and missing one of my favorite cities, NYC. I'm daydreaming about the next time I get to land in the big apple, so I thought I'd take you on a little behind the scenes journey on one of the last trips I took in the city, before the world changed. This video was filmed over a month ago, during a press day to promote Shark Tank's move to Fridays at 8pm ET. I can't wait to get back in a room with these hooligans!

The fact that he chose to answer that question on the watch from Mike, even though based on the tone of the question it didn't deserve an answer. He still took the time to provide him with a very thorough answer (we all learned something) Kevin O'Leary proves to be a down to earth, quality guy.
It is because Longines paid him to do the advertisement. Smart guys wont waste any opportunity to make easy money.
Longines, AP Code 11.59, etc are the only reason he is wearing those watches in public.
It would've been a good question without the insults just because hes a billionaire doesn't mean he's not human

Kevin you just nailed it with this video, First of all you were very humble and gracious in making a video responding to someone that was very frank and spoke on the behalf of the small guy. I have much more respect for you, I had to subscribe to you channel. I have learned a great deal from watching this video. Kevin the watches was a good lesson, however I watched a guy that has more than enough money to supply his needs, I watched a man do something because he loves it and wants his family to benefit for generations by leaving a legacy of experience, great choices and educating the masses along the way. Kevin you were my least loved shark, but one respectable gesture changed that. Kevin keep being you, you're genuine individual and true to your excellent craft.
I am very thankful for Shark Tank. Because I basically grew up watching there show. This allowed me to learn so much about business. Thats why I am an entrepreneur now! I am only 21 and own a store. Thank you Kevin, and thank you other sharks.

Class act to answer the watch question Kevin and great video. I know you might not read this but just wanted to say I was digging the fact that you were rocking the FPJ Chronometre Bleu during the media promos and then your FPJ Chronometre Optimum (black label I believe) which is a personal favorite and I think it is FPJ's personal favorite as well.
You should look into getting the early edition 38mm FPJ pieces as they have been trending up for a while now and are extremely difficult to get nowadays.
Keep up the great work. I respect your grind and hustle which is most likely what brought you all your success.

I remember when they began to mass-produce wristwatches just after the Great War (before that they were primarily for military use). They were all the rage - especially with Jazz Age ‘golden boys’ and their flapper girlfriends - but somehow, I never got used to the darn things. After seeing this, I think I’d like that new SEIKO contraption: it might be time to give the wristwatch a go.

I appreciate you addressing his question straight on. He probably wasn’t expecting a response. Well done, Mr. O’Leary. Even on the lowest spectrum of watches, there are are greats. For example, Seiko’s SKX007. That is one of the Worlds most underrated watches. It can be purchased between $250 (online) to $475? (at a jewelry store - not on sale). Citizen has a similar watch that France’s elite dive squadrons use. Don’t mistake all Timex, Bulova or those digital Ironman watches. Squale, Tudor, Tissot, Tag or Omegas if you want to spend a little more. One of my favourites is the Oris Aquis... and it can be had for less than a mid-priced bicycle (or electric). Many watch companies have a great watches. They may not go up in value, but that doesn’t discredit them. Other watches are investments. Some houses are regular, other houses (custom built) may cost more and may go up in value. Sometimes they don’t. Watches can be beautiful. Learn to love and appreciate them on whatever your budget i. We can’t all wear a Patek Calatrava’s - but anyone (for free!) can appreciate their quality, simplicity and elegance.. if only from afar. Thanks for the video.

Mr. Wonderful is indeed wonderful. Many of us wouldn't answer that question, regardless of whether it's meant to be an ad for the watch company or not.
Great watches,but even $800 is a huge expense for most people. My husband,like many,lost his job and we are raising our 3 nephews,so even during good times a $800 watch is not something we would ever consider,much less the more expensive ones. They are beautiful though and thank you for your advice.

Mr. Wonderful you've got me thinking about the FP Journe god damnit. I was initially saving $10K for a classic Datejust and now I'm thinking about collectability for the future and that Journe is an asterisk if I could get it for $11K right now.
Your first recommended watch has quartz movement. If it was an automatic movement, it was a good value for the price I think.
The second/diver watch has both automatic and quartz movements.

I have a phone, who even uses a watch these days. Also Mr. Wonderful is way more likeable like this. Very down to earth and honest. Though those watch prices are still a little too crazy sadly for people like me who work as a teacher haha... :(
