Wayne Carey played centre half forward like a full forward as he would kick huge snags of majors yet he could notch 20 to 25 disposals per game like a midfielder. He was the best contested mark for a man of his size that I’ve ever seen.
there has been no other player that has the same "concern" to opposition supporters than carey in form. if he touched it his side of centre, something happened..

AFL in the mid 90's to really early 2000's was the best brand probably up till Paul Roos coached the Swans who created the worse brand of footy ever. It was best to watch with man on man end to end play, high scoring games, toughness with the bump still being a big thing and lots of Specky, players played in there position it, great skills. Carey was very good i didn't like him because he was soo good because he didn't play for my team.
Tony Locketts 13 Goals vs Adelaide at Moorabin 1991 was way better than this. And so was Peter Daicos 13 Goals vs Brisbane Bears at Carrara 1991 was 100 times better than carey. Wayne carey is the most overated player ever. Tony lockett and Peter Daicos are way better
