  • Pelican makes an outstanding product and they combine that with excellent customer service, too. I'm a big fan. I've purchased all of these items myself and am a fully satisfied customer. Hope this video might help you when considering a Pelican case for your gear.
There's a video on my channel that explains how to mount a Pelican case to a motorcycle.

Proprietary screws? Looks like a standard Robertson to me. Probably the best screws around. That sure is a slick set up you have for the mounting of the Pelican case!!

Hey, Dave. Thank you! I’ve never seen those screws before.

@@GeordieMac Yeah I did a little research and you can blame Henry Ford for that. Apparently he wanted to buy the rights to the screw and the inventor refused. Ford went with the inferior Phillips screw instead. Not sure how that alone kept them out of the states but it seems it did. I live in Canada where I've experienced them my whole life.they really are much better than Phillips as they are far less likely to strip out and you can get a lot more torque on them so they tend to be easier to drive into something. Anyway, now you know what you've been missing. Thanks for the video by the way! I was contemplating putting a Pelican case on the rear rack of my bike as I know they make a great product. I assumed that I'd just have to drill holes straight through the bottom and buy some nuts, bolts, and rubber washers to attach it but your system looks absolutely perfect, so I'm going to look into that. I almost now wish I hadn't forked out the cash for a rackless luggage system. But having a Pelican case set up that can be easily added and removed when needed, will be a nice thing for short trips or just picking up groceries.

@@davejoe2592 Thanks for the education! Interesting, indeed. Yeah, Pelican cases are such outstanding products. You’re, right - so great for going to the grocery store. Best of luck to you!

Hi, I am not camping or overnighting. I am interested in a simple system for a tripod, large digital camera + lenses, and a moderate sized videocamera +lenses for daytime video/photo projects. My bike is a KTM 1090 R. After using Pelican cases for carrying all my camera gear for car trips, I think the Pelican is my solution for the bike too, thank you!

Definitely. Just keep in mind that it will add significant weight to the rear of the bike and change the center of gravity.

Any way to get that square spot on the 1470? Looks like its sticker residue.

Hey, Alex! Good catch! I never even noticed that. Yes, I’m sure it would come right off. I know it’s not sticky or anything. It was a label that was attached without sticky glue. No worries on that one. Pelican cases are the best. Thanks for watching!
