I see you're in Jersey by the plate on the van... I hate the Aram's for all the obstruction around the windshield hard to see down some streets down the right side when you have to make a left turn. I go out the side door for 98% of my deliveries so to be able to turn my feet between the seats getting up is important. I found in the rental Ford we have I can't do that. Don't know what the Ford van set up for this work is like though.
Being only 5ft. I prefer the rams because it's so easy to get in and out of the seat, the fords I'm constantly having to move the seat back to get out because of the cup holders and gear shift🥲
I'll be on my day two on nursery route lev 2. I assume you only get 3 days of it total. Dang it's going to suck when I start the regular route. 🤷♂️ I'll just have to try my best. Lol
Yeah usually it’s like the first week. But you’ll be okay. Regular routes are tough but once you get use to it, it’s a breeze. Just don’t feel overwhelmed with the amount of totes and packages and don’t worry much about the time. Time will fly by very fast when you are just working. Good luck!
I would imagine that it would be his very first stop. If not I would reroute so that it was my first stop. The only sorting I would do is at loadout. I would get every overflow that wasn't theirs and put it in front and then just load all their boxes in the back so I know exactly where their boxes are and get them out fast.
@@Darth_Nerd that actually sounds more reasonable fr 😂🤣💯 I get passed when they don't label the right sticker on the package sometimes which have me looking for 5mins.... I got to the point now doe that if I think a box is mislabeled then I scan all the boxes without a second though.
Only issue I had was my route was running back to the same areas but different address, I don't understand why not cover the same area or neighborhood at one time.
That's not odd at all.. It happens for many flex users, its the algorithms.. But i just go to maps before i leave the station and check out the numbers on black dots
Amazon dose that for a couple of reasons, one Incase someone is following you to steal packages and sometimes to get you on the other side of a busy street not to have you cross traffic. That doesn't always work though.
Same here, i have a customer that orders at least once twice a month and has anywhere between 100-170 packages. i usually check my route before loading my van and if i see that address, i jump directly to that stop first, regardless of what stop it was originally in my route, just like you did. its nice to navigate the rest of the day after that. sometimes other delivery services like UPS or Fedex show up also with 50+ packages as well 😄...at first it would take me 1hr+, but now it takes me around 45minutes, im banging those mofos quick. cool video, keep it up 👊
It’s all about the pace. So for me, I’m used to going very fast because I have been delivering for a year. First try to get use to your route and try to go in a faster pace then usual. The goal is to do 25 stops an hour. It will take time since it’s only been your first week but it will be easier later on.
@@amazondeliveryhacks I meant the Amazon warehouse doesn't care you leave the totes? Lol. A little delivery hack for you next time to go there though. If you just unload everything you don't have to scan everything and take a picture just call dispatch and ask them to mark it as complete. It is a big time saver! I never had that many packages but I have had 20+ for one stop and it is just easier to get everything unloaded and leave.
I try avoiding walking in the grass now. If the grass looks like it's not well maintained then I'll walk on it. 😅
I feel you
1:00 😆 Quicking tapping "no issues", don't you think they know you did that so fast it was impossible to read that/check those? 😆
I get over 300 packages a day.and upto 180 stops a day. Lots of walking!
Tell me about it. The job is very physical but you can do this! Stay safe

Damn I hope they don't never do me like that. I'm kool with hell of packages going to same spot but not if I gotta sort that shit on the road.😅
Yeah it’s tough but I don’t get that route a lot, just sometimes

Yeah that’s odd, whoever arranged your route, didn’t do a great job lol

I hate ram so much that my boss his scared to give me one
I work in the Corona CA area and I do on average 170 stops per day. (17 bags, 20+ OF) in the small Benz van. 110 degrees 🥵
Yeah same amount for me too but the heat is no joke. The van be very hot. Stay safe and be hydrated!
The vans don’t have air conditioning?
@@Jasmine40777 some do some don't. Either way you have to turn off the engine at every stop so the van never has time to cool off.
The rams are my favorite it’s the Mercedes vans I didn’t like
i had a route that was literally one stop and 280 packages lmaooo took me like 2 hours
Yeah that’s tough!
I would be so happy with that 😂

I worked it for a day I was supposed to be on the first day of my nursery route but they gave me 170 stops I ended up working 12 hours that day
Yeah that’s not usual. Every dsp is different
my first day was 245 stops, just get on your grizznity n youll be gucci
get a go pro with chest mount.. and try not to aim the camera at people addresses
Idk how to get faster. I do 100 stops in 8 hours. It's my first week solo :/

Organization is key. I'm a week into being a prime driver and I'm doing 150 stops in a shift.
180 stops with 300 packages
It’s tough doing it. Good luck!
What kinda gloves you use ? Hate when my hands are black
Hyflex gloves. I got them on amazon.
@@amazondeliveryhacks awesome thank you
Damn you can keep them on? We have to turn our card off at ever stop 😭
It’s weird cuz sometimes they want us to turn the van off at every stop, then sometimes they don’t care lol.
Aye bro u got the same car as me and almost same seat colors lol
Corolla gang lol
You can leave the totes at the stop with 83???
Yeah the people in that warehouse don’t mind. I deliver there many times so it’s all good

I drive a ram pickup truck
You like it ?
Yes I do
The camera must not be working didn't see him put seatbelt on or turn van off or put parking brake on.... the bs Amazon was on
I don’t record myself doing all that. Main focus is just delivering. But I do those things regardless.
Fords van are better then rams.
How? Never been given a Ford van.
As a driver the Ram trucks are horrible, fords are 10 times better.
