Fun flips! Love the print in the Golden frame. If people understood how many books are thrown away at thrift stores, because people isn't buying them.. I work at a thrift stores and we recycle 90 % of the books, because they will not sell. Goodwill bins is the last stop, so if you rescue a book there and use it for the prints, that's great!!
Thank you Emma! I agree. wow 90% is crazy!
At my Goodwill, hardbound books are $4. Always. No sales. So I don't buy them there.
Our stores think they’re high end retail , so I never buy , $4 & $5 is no bargain when it’s donated goods .
Our stores are selling books for 3.49 each. Even children's paperback.
Eeww..put the leaves back on the tulips !
I love all your flips. Ignore people who don’t appreciate what you do. You saved that beef from the trash and now many people can enjoy the artwork!!! I absolutely love what you do. We are saving the planet by recreating things that would have been in a dump❤
Thank you Paula!
I meant to say saved that book.
I'm not a reseller and country decor isn't my style at all.I watch bc I love your creativity and can appreciate the end results, even if they're not my style. Great job saving so many things from the landfill!
Wow thank you so much! That means a lot to me
@@DesertDIY you're welcome! Btw, I thought it was called Joann's too 😆
Green topiary ball is my vote
I agree
When living in a low light house I used mirrors and polished surfaces to reflect light into the eooms.
You're a smart cookie!
Absolutely love your style of decor n you always style them beautifully. Agree the green topiary just looks more elegant. Awesome flips. Hope y'all are feeling better. Have a incredible week.
Thank you so much Georgie! Yes we are feeling much better. I hope you are doing great too!
Green
Taking the leafs off first is brilliant, look so good.
Thank you Rita
Adorable, I enjoyed your haul and makeovers. Keep doing what you love and doing it well. I love you acknowledging your kids precious touch to your foam. They grow up fast. As far as the book, people it was 50 cents and heading to the dump if not for you rescuing it. You have given its pages new life in so many more ways than on a shelf or coffee table. I vote green.
Thank you so much Annie. We seem like kindred spirits!
I just discovered your channel today and had to comment on how much I love your ideas as well as your warm and down to earth friendly personality!
Really enjoyed the video today. I loved your flips, especially the frame with the botanical print. I as well love the crock with the tulips, so sweet. You do such a nice job. Thank you for sharing all of your amazing transformations with us. Have a beautiful day.❤
Thank you so much Joy! I hope you have a beautiful day too
I love how many things I can see in the speckles on the milk jug-- hearts, bunnies, etc. Looks so pretty with those tulips!
That is so creative of you to see that
Love that concrete look with the plates, wreaths & bunnies ❤
My favorite this time is the wood and brass candle stand.
Ooo yes that was such a cool one
I always enjoy watching your thrift flips. They are things I would use myself and I learn from you .
Thank you Charlotte I am so glad!
Those looks absolutely awesome. I love oval frames and that is a super great idea of recycling books for art prints.
Thank you! And easy!
I have had such fun watching this video on CZcams. You and your husband are working so hard and making a life for you and your children. It is wonderful to see. Your book of plants was thrown away by somebody and you have saved it so to use it and share it with others page by page, I think is wonderful. I enjoy this format very much though. You are such fun to shop with. I wouldn’t want to seeing the occasional thrift shop in more detail. Looking forward to your next video. Thank you
Thank you so much Deborah you are so sweet. I have to use up a lot of the stock I have picked up before I am allowed to shop again haha!!! My garage is stuff full of projects so once I dwindle that down a little bit I'll do more shopping videos.
The green topiary ball. It's a nice contrast and the size looks is perfect for the base😊
For future info, you can take wire nippers and remove that little stem on the candle holder and then it will sit flat on your wood round :)
All lovely and I adore the music you used!❤
I am so glad you loved the music. Thank you Andrea!
#7 the green one
i agree
The bunny with the lavender filled apothecary jar inside of the ceramic baker is really cute together. The colors and variety of the objects really compliment each other.
Thank you Shelby in so glad you liked it
Green ball is my vote. I say JoAnns also. Love all your flips.
Very nice flips. I really like the videos like this. The basket vignette #13? Was great. Have a great week and be safe. Thank you for the videos .
Thank you so much Kristy I am so glad you like it! Thank you for watching and chatting
So, Corey, I have started a project thanks to your encouragement, and I am excited to see the results. No idea if it will sell, but I can always try and donate. Thanks again for your help. You are an amazing flipper and person!
Thank you Mary! Let me know how it turns out and I wish you all the luck!
You found a book that keeps on giving! I think it's great! ❤
❤ We live in a throw away society…and with countless people into seasonal decorating…and with people seemingly quickly get tired of their decor and change things out often…and we definitely are in a thrifting and reselling trend… With that said, the value of many things aren’t respected for what they are… it’s hard for me to see what is damaged or destroyed just for temporary decor in your home or for resale! It really isn’t ok to use special books, as Bibles, hymn books, old music sheets and books, crocheted pieces, possibly that was made by Grama, or your mom, painting or pulling apart old pianos, etc. ….the list goes on and on! Many of these “crafts” are just for a time, and they are trashed anyway and eventually land at the dump! Decor always seems to change SO often… that’s how society is today in their mentality! So why deface, dismantle, rip apart things that do
have value, just to make something for fun or to resell! I cherish, treasure, deeply appreciate, place value on things that remind me of someone I love, or remind me of different times in my life that had meaning to it…. Once things are destroyed for whatever reason, it’s gone…there is no replacing them! So please make your choices really careful on what you will do with what you find! Most books are incredible, in appearance and content!
But a lot of books are worth nothing right from their beginning… with all the techy stuff today, books have had to take 2nd place…and that is a tragedy! But most books have great value…and should be enjoyed and appreciated for what they are…..❤ Including all other current, vintage or antiques items that have much character and to be treasured…
There are those of you that will read this comment and be ticked off with me…It doesn’t matter in the least because this is what I deeply think and feel… I get concerned by what I am seeing on many U-tube sites these days…….😢
My favorite was a picture frame amazing job thank you God bless 🙏
Thank you so much Angelina!
You’re so adorable & genuine. I love how you show the price tags 😄 Your flips are amazing! They go together so beautifully. Your creativity is incredible to find such random pieces & make them go together. 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼
Thank you so much Trixie!
What a great basket tray find!! The picture you selected for the frame looks so lovely!!
Thank you Caroline
I love all of your projects. You do a beautiful job putting everything together. Beautiful. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome
Thank you Nancy!
I loved all of the projects! You really have an eye for detail.
Thank you Maribel!
Wow its so sunny in your yard.
Yes, sunny days are rare lately! I am enjoying it. We have huge pines all around our house so its almost always shady here
The green topiary ball is nice. It would also look cute with some sort of limb broken off and pressed into foam that you push into.th3 bottom of the vase. The hot glue the little green topiary so it looks like a little tree in the pot. The separation the little branch creates between the pot and the topiary ball will give it a more balanced weight appearance.
That would be cute too!
Yes, I agree
Fairy lights in the lantern would be perfect
Green for me but only because the white was too big. The white is beautiful though. Great video thanks.
Thank you!
I like this video format...showing the item you bought, then letting us see what you do to it/with it before moving onto the next item. AND I love your creativity. Thanks for putting yourself out there😊.
I am so glad you like it! Thank you!
Hi Corey..just started binge watching your videos…they are great!!! I do floral arrangements…just a fyi..glue your moss in first…ez peasy then your florals! So much easier girlie!
I would love to see your hobby lobby and Joann hauls too. As someone who one “flips” for my personal home decor it would be helpful see the craft supplies. Seeing your hauls would also give me inspiration on what staples decor pieces I should/could be picking up for multiple different staging looks. Love you videos
Ok Deanne I will work that in soon! Thank you!
Oh and also I love watching your videos you have such a giant imagination and I wish I was half that talented. My mother who is pretty much wheelchair-bound and in her chair watching TV all the time has taken to watching you especially when you go to the bins she does occasionally yell at you that you should buy whatever it is in the bin that you're not buying but she thinks you should. Mom is 84 so if she yells a little don't worry about it. 😂
Thank you so much! I think that's great! she can yell at me all she wants to haha.
😂lol
The little watering can with the lavender 😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you for showing the PRICES per item so clearly, Corey!! And thanks too, for referencing the feedback about making color copies rather than tearing out the pages. You are the BEST for listening to your audience feedback! 😇 The child foam indents were precious. I think by not gluing down the foam down inside though, and instead just pushing it in tightly, would have allowed for more uses by the customer (switch-outs) of the little metal watering can. Thanks for showing the shopping then flipping integrated as you've done. Loved it!! Great job!!
Great point about someone reusing it! Thank you so much!
Beautiful stuff today from what I got at the end... I'm rewatching now!
I hope you like it all!
I did! Loved them all girl and I'm so excited that you're so close to me... I'll have to try and visit your booth one of these days, but I'm disabled and can't drive, so I'd have to find a way there. Can't wait to see more projects ❤❤❤
I love doing flower arrangements. I have a close friend that had a flower shop and she thought me a lot. Silks are so much fun & and so popular now!
Oh how cool that you learned from a florist!
Really beautiful. The juxtaposition of the rustic rooster and the glam dish at the beginning was super beautiful. I also love the brass mixed with the wood! You stage things so nicely. ❤ Also, you're making an excellent use of the book!
I know what the last jute tray staging needed: a linen cloth laying on the edge, or a doily piece? I treasure vintage textiles 🪡
I thought about that! Great idea!
It does look like the 100 acres woods! 😊 what a wonderful way to honour the printing of an old book - by showcasing each beautiful print in a frame. Loved the green topiary best the other one just looked too busy and lost against the backdrop.
I’m a paper crafter and we rip books apart all the time! I also would kill for your plant book! It’s gorgeous!
Haha I'm glad it's not just me thank you
Love watching your flips, you give some really good ideas. All yours turn out lovely. 🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾❄️
Green topiary ball great
Hello, It's great that you can reuse items and give us ideas on what to do with our thrifted items. As far as the book of prints, most people don't realize about 320 million books are thrown away each year rather than recycled or reused, and paper accounts for 25% of waste in the landfill. (from google) Not only that but unless that book was printed before 1928 it is under copyright. It is against the law to copy book pages and use them in a way to make a profit. When you buy the book you can use the pages because you own the book, but you cannot copy them. I also agree that the original book pages will look much better than copies. 😊
Very good point!
You found some nice things! I’ve never found much at goodwill accept a silver champagne bucket which I love!
That's a cool find. I think yard sales can have cooler stuff if you can find any yard sales
I love yard sale season because Goodwill gets filled up after that!
Magnifique😊
Merci!
Love the flips especially the book and frame. If you mod poge or use white glue slightly watered down it gives the pages a oil painting effect. 😊
I love how you are getting so much mileage out of that little book. Those are great little prints! Loved that little galvanized watering can. It would have been cute with a little floral transfer, or other botanical or bird pic. I definitely got hundred-acre vibes from that lil' botanical print in the oval frame! You had some great finds today! I just re-read my post and realized I said little enough times! 😆
Thank you so much! Little is a cute word anyway, I am not judging! you have great ideas!
I Love❤how everything looks!! Thank You Cory!!❤️
Thank you Diane
I think you are so sweet, and I’m not sure why but todays video made me chuckle. Watching you try to attach the wood round to the brass Hosley candle holder had me giggling ( Hosley is vintage brass from India I have one of their brass boxes). I know it wasn’t easy but it was the right call it looked great! I think the green looked better than the white in the rich persons pot 😂. That brown bunny sure made the rounds in this video…I felt so bad for him when the white bunny took his place in the last vignette, lol. I love older books, and I usually hate to see them taken apart, but in this instance I totally get where you are coming from🥰.
Thank you so much Julie! I am so glad you enjoyed my video and got a good laugh. That's what life is about
That planter did work out. I use white wax as a finish for faux concrete. Keep up the excellent work 💪🏾
Great idea to use white wax. Thank you
Have been binge watching all weekend! I just moved to Tucson July of 23! I love everything you do but my new home screams mid century! Still love your stuff and man you guys work hard! Love to see it!
Tell Tucson we said Hi! We are from there. A ton of tucson is midcentury style. Thank you so much
I enjoyed you're Presentation❤
Thank you Alice!
I love all the flips I like how you see past the colours or if something is chipped or in rough shape is it just me who thinks the brown bunnies look like they are made of chocolate 😂
Thank you Beverley! Yes. They are supposed to look like chocolate bunnies good eye
I’ve made faux chocolate bunnies by mixing brown chalk paint with glossy top coat or glossy decoupage medium and painting them. Looks just like chocolate! (I think I did a video on this a couple years ago.) Great video, love these decor makeovers!❣️
I'm going to check that out! Thank you!
Great job. I definitely get great ideas from you. I enjoy your sweet personality and feel inspired after watching you.
Thank you so much! I am so happy I get to inspire you!
Great finds & flips as usual! I have always called it Joann's too 😊 TFS ❤
Thank you Shelly
So pretty the metal cake stand
I think either topiary ball works but the green shows up against the silver plate better.
Thank you Lynn! I'm glad you liked it!
Great video. Luved everything you bought and upcycled. All sooo beautiful. Ur very talented. Blessings from Texas ❤❤❤
Thank you so much Lisa!
Love, love, love all the things that you styled with the "chocolate" bunnies! All the pedestal plates are brilliant!
Thank you Charlene
Loved them all
Thank you Cathy!
Beautiful and creative flips! Giving things a new life, I love it. Wehave too many things in land fills already.. Thank you for helping solve that problem ...
Thanks so much!
The green topiary is much better also a pop of color helped
Great flips. Love the pic with the thrift frame.❤
Thank you Dianna
I think what you did with the book pages is a great idea! If you hadn’t saved it and used in your pieces it would’ve ended up in the dump. ❤️ Loving your channel! Such great ideas! 🥰
Thank you so much Melanie!
Hi from the UK. Can't wait for this to start
Thank you so much for watching and chatting today Ange!
I LOVE Rae Dunn, TOO... The Rabbit Lidded Butter Dish is Adorable.
Yay!
Very pretty and creative
Thank you Judy!
L😊VE TO SEE THEM ALL AT THE END of the SHOW DONE ✅
Here is a positive post . . . . Great job !! It is your book, you own it. Reuse the prints as you wish. They are better displayed than put up on a bookshelf , not seen at all
❤😊
Thank you Cindy!
I found that if I cover the backs of the framed prints with an attractive scrapbook paper it ups the appeal. Love all your staging.
Great idea!
You really got some good bargains! Luv the flips, those darn bunnies make me run for chocolate! We will have a hobby lobby opening within 8 to 10 miles of me. I am super pumped about this. You always mention hobby lobby and the nearest one was 75 miles from me until now, super happy. Are you doing ugly duckling in march? Some told me you were, i didnt see anything, so i figured not yet.
Yay Dar that's going to be so great having one nearby! Yes ugly duckling will be March 24th I believe. I will announce it in Wednesdays video. And on Instagram on Wednesday as well
You're ideas are always good. Removing the leaves off the tulips turned out pretty, going to try that. Fun video ❤
Thanks so much 😊
I always enjoy all your flips and styling. Thank you for what you do...
Thank you!
I love Rae Dunn and every single thing farmhouse!!!
Yay! This is your time to shine! Haha
Awesome talent you have Cory!
Thank you Dana
I like that you don’t paint every single thing you buy like some other people do.
Sometimes less is more haha. Painted things sell well so I understand why people do it.
I am glad you are using the actual book pages and not copying them, that would infringe on the copyright laws. Also for future reference those little pins on the brass candle holders for pillar candles unscrew so they can be used for multiple things. Even the vintage ones!
I tried to unscrew it but it wasn't budging. maybe with pliers. You make a VERY good point about copying the pages! I didn't even think about that but you are correct!
Who knew
Hello, tank you for price. DIY super !! Bravo !!!... Mireille in France
Thank you so much Mireille
Beautiful love the Crock with Tulips love it all ❤
Thank you Belinda!
I love the lantern and the basket and the "Spread" dish! great buys.
Thank you Anna!
Love the green topiary
Thanks! Me too
That basket is more than $20.00 if it was bought at a high end store 😮 it’s beautiful !! ❤❤
As I was unboxing my thred up delivery that came while I was at work today I had your video playing, I love thred up and your crafty flips! Thank you for sharing! Also Dollar General had chocolate bunnies for super cheap last weekend 💕
Oh thats awesome! I have some work out clothes coming in soon, they just shipped haha. Love thred up! And yay for cheap chocolate bunnies!
Really neat flips -don’t think I could pick a favorite!
I love the way you decorate, so lovely!
Thank you so much!
I've been watching your channel for quite awhile and just this evening realized I've never subscribed!! DUH!
I love your content, and I understand that commenting and liking helps - so I'm doing all three! 🙂
Thank you so much! I appreciate you!
I use a thick emery board to smooth out chips on my projects.
That's a good idea
Paint brush flip for sure
Love.it.all! What great pieces you found!
I absolutely love your thrift flips. I would recommend using some colored flowers. I guess it's just my preference.
Definitely the green topiary ball.
