- Joe Biden and Donald Trump have clashed over the war in Ukraine, during the first televised debate of the 2024 US presidential election campaign.
Trump claimed that Russia and Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine because he saw how incompetent Biden's team was in their exit from the war in Afghanistan.
Biden defended his foreign policy record, and claimed that Trump told Putin to do "whatever you want".

Joe Biden broke the Minsk agreement and thus Russia had to act otherwise America is at Russias doorstep. Russia doesn't want that AND there are russian zones within Ukraine as well which would be occupied by nato/EU.
