She loves Jaeon but still don’t trust him. Jaeon is a walking red flag, yes. But you can see that his character is changing. There’s a character development. His only problem is communication. Same as Nabi. Daeyuk is a nice guy. But she only thinks of him as her friend.. you can’t just settle with a guy you don’t love just because he’s nice. You’ll end up miserable staying in a loveless relationship. With Jaeon, its true that you’ll probably end up getting a broken heart but it’s a chance you have to take. If you will end up miserable no matter who you choose, then its better to enjoy the beauty of love & spend it with the one you really love. Take chances, be happy. Savour it for as long as it lasted.
I actually don't think there's anything such as this. You can get along with someone well and love them and they can love you back, and unfortunately this still doesn't mean you both are meant to be. If you didn't end up with someone, it was probably for a reason that you don't necessarily have to know or understand. Some things are just......the way they are. "It is what it is" kinda thing.....
dohyeok already knows she is still caught up with jae eon, yet he still continues to pursue nabi because unlike jae eon, he is the “sincere” one. idk why a lot of people praise him so much when it is already clear that she isn’t ready to have a relationship with him (she stated it herself), he should understand and respect her feelings first, instead of trying to push his own agenda onto her. unlike jae eon who immediately backs off as soon as nabi tells him to, dohyeok seems to be too persistent and kind of wants her to himself (just to make jae eon “lose”) instead of prioritizing how she actually feels altogether, and i think the audience is too blinded by “red flags” to even notice the difference.
honestly this drama deserves major props for portraying real characters & real situations. stories like nabi's, jae-on's, and dohyeok's happen in real life all the time. i think that the writers, director, and actors did a good job in showing that all of the characters aren't perfect- they're human.
This is sooo trueeee! Theres probably so many nabis in the world that hv met a park jaeon that could relate to this drama so much, and hopefully whoever hv gone thru this is at a fine place now (over this toxic relationship🤞🏻🥲)

I cried so much when I first saw this scene. So-hee really did a great job portraying her character's feelings and if anyone ever being in this kind of situation would understand that there's no right or wrong here.

I respect the fact that he still confessed despite knowing the disappointing answer. I respect that he tried to protect their relationship knowing Jaeon isn’t a good person. when I first saw this, I cried because no guy has ever done this for me but also I cried for Nabi because she's so confused with her feelings and Jae-eon isn't helping at all. The frustration shows through her tears and I felt that too. Great acting

He knows Na-bi doesn't see him as a boyfriend. But yet he's doing everything to get her to cross that line. All that romantic schmoo, that's not her at all. But Na-bi too is really pissing me off, she constantly gives potato guy glimpses of hope. Accepting pretty much everything he does, knowing that she don't want him to do that.
Also that ice cold stance towards Jae eon, it's out of place and real bad timing. Jae eon came out of his shell, that's what she wanted. I hope he doesn't give up, because they need to be together. They are a match.
@@GabrieleJackson what nabi needs right now is not a relationship. She herself has trauma and problems. Her ending up with Jaeon will only aggravate their problems since they both have so many issues. Feelings alone aren't enough for a relationship to last and for it to be healthy. She needs to find herself and love herself. She needs to know that she doesn't need to depend on someone to be happy, that she can be happy by herself as well. Same goes for Jaeon. He needs time to overcome his issues and trauma. Potato guy seems like someone who has himself figured out, he needs to find someone that will treasure him for who he is. He doesn't deserve to be anyone's rebound guy or second option. The best ending will be them going their separate ways and learn something from this experience for a happy future.
The vibe in this scene is EXACTLY like WEBTOON. Its a little different but this was so well done.
Its wasn't that she didn't like him, its that she thinks she doesn't have what it takes to FULLY love someone and that she thinks he deserved someone better than her.
This is the first time she put herself first and realised she wasn't in the right mindset and had to better herself.
They are TOTALLY setting up the webtoon ending and I'm all for it. Thos scene was SUCH a good adaption from the webtoon.

@@trey5033 Jaeon takes revenge on Nabi for Ruining his relationship with his ex. Is plan was lure her in by confessing his "Love" to her, then have sex with her...then dump her to break her heart...to give her a taste of her own medicine. Then they go their seperate ways.
Then she reconnects with Potato boy and tells him everything about her and Jaeon. Then Nabi continues to put up a wall between herself and Potato boy because she thinks Potato boy must hate her because she chose Jaeon over him and that he is dissapointed in her. Potato then says that he IS dissapointed in her...but he is only dissapointed in her because she just ASSUMED that he would be dissapointed in her. He thought she'd have enough insight to believe that he would thoughtful enough to understand her position. Instead, she thought he'd just abandon her...which upset him because he would never do that.
Then she just says you deserve someone better than me. Then they are about to their seperate ways then some guys taunt Nabi saying "that jerk you were with is a prick to just leave you and not take you home". Hos insult to potato boy pisses off Nabi so much that she just punches that guy in the face and Potato comes and takes her away.
They have another deep conversation about both of their situations then they decide to just live their live because they are so busy. Then there is a time skip of a few months.
They are both in a better place
They reconnect. And are togther as a couple.

But i meant was the ending was have the same Components of the webtoon ending...not that the drama was going to EXACTLY replicate the webtoon ending...meaning Nabi and Jaeon's confrontation will happen same as the webtoon BUT the circumstances of HOW and WHY they will have that confrontation will be different from the webtoon...but I'm sure their confrontation will happen...coz its literally the entire point of the drama/webtoon😂

the thing about this show is that the audience loves to dial it down to such a shallow plot. it isn't about a love triangle, or about a stupid girl and a f!ckboy. it's about very imperfect and complicated people trying to find the right paths to grow individually. remember that both nabi and jae eon have traumatic pasts; and we only got to view everyone else mostly from nabi's point of view--meaning we don't actually know how jae eon is like, because we only got to see him through nabi's assumptions (which, as per observations, are clearly not 100% true). these two characters are meant to make mistakes and the show doesn't cover it up for them. they get to learn about these mistakes and find a way to fix them, by first needing to face their feelings and acknowledge their traumas. i think this show does a great job in keeping the characters consistent and they managed to show the slow process of how a person grows and decides to change (just like jae eon).
This. It's about realistic people who are imperfect and have issues of their own, and making mistakes. They are confused, frustrated, and unsure of their feelings and how to proceed with things. But that's what makes it so realistic to real life. In my eyes there is no "bad" or "good" characters - JE and NB are both complicated people.
Agree. Nevertheless is about coming of age story, focusing on the characters development of two main characters (Jae-eon and Nabi) like a butterfly's metamorphosis. It's never about love triangle at all. I hope people can understand this so they won't bicker about team 🦋 or 🥔 anymore.
People complaining about how they feel the plot is slow-paced. Rather than slow-paced, I call it well-paced because how can you expect character development in only 5 eps or something?
Nevertheless is clearly different with other romance kdramas, it's even not really under the same genre.

It just shows that even DH is not a perfect character either. Everyone has imperfections and weaknesses and that makes the show really realistic

I love how the show followers on youtube have a lot of understanding of the show and appreciating the fact that real people aren't black or white, they are grey( like jaeon and nabi) they make mistakes and learn from it and grow together unlike some webtoon readers on Instagram that aren't ready to see jae eon and nabi, not as a straight out toxic person but real human beings

Love this scene so much. The mood, the lines, the background music..everything is so emotional.
#Nevertheless is indeed a breakthrough show, breaking away from the typical romance k-dramas with the kind of conversations this has opened up. It is confusing, painful, misinterpreted, but very real. It is well-written and the characters are very consistent, but would take an audience with a critical mind, a good understanding of human character, and some form of acceptance. This is a hard pill to swallow for people with inherent prejudice. This is not a B&W show, same as life, there are gray areas. I choose to believe in the general good in people so I believe in second chances, and that change is possible. But for you to enjoy this, remember that this is still a fiction, and this show is about Nabi and Jae Eon growing up story.
A lot of people are mad at that Do-hyeok for saying he's disappointed at Nabi but won't other people too? Imagine confessing to someone and then they say "No" what would you say to them? Atleast he is honest about his feelings towards Nabi.

This is the best scene in episode 8 i can feel Nabi's emotion and i like potato guy who is frank with his feelings to Nabi.
He pushed his feeling to Nabi. Knowing it was really the wrong time, he still carried out his confession, even when he knew Nabi has no feeling but platonic friendship to him and she's a mess in her head. He knew she would be uncomfortable but still carried it out. Potato boy is obsessed about his love to Nabi. He's not a perfect nice guy everyone thinks about. He has his own flaws and after ep7 and ep8 we should've seen them clearly.
I like it better cause now he feels like a proper character. A perfectly nice sweet guy character in a fiction drama is flat and boring.

I hope Do Hyeok stop pursuing Na-Bi. Na-Bi tells him honestly that he deserve someone and he's a good person. Why can't he respect that. If he really loves Na-Bi, one word is enough for a wise man. He's just jumping to a conclusion and assumption and tells Jae Eon that Na-Bi regrets anything, she's referring to his ex. Do Hyeok is lying. After this scene, he keep chasing Na-Bi no wonder why Na-Bi feels like she's cheated and she's feel pressure by Do Hyeok not giving up and these people keep blaming Na-Bi? Open your mind people, Na-Bi gets frank and honest with Do Hyeok but Do Hyeok doesn't respect her decision still pursuing her and he already knows that Na-Bi and Jae Eun have something but still he wants to middle between them. Na-Bi doesn't owe him and mostly Na-Bi is not obligate to love him back or give back the love that Do Hyeok has. Stop blaming Na-Bi. She give the best effort she had just to get away to Jae Eun but still she's a woman after all, She loves Jae Eon. You can't choose who can you love with and you can't force someone just to love them. It's so upsetting these people mindset that if the guy is a nice person and loves you and automatically you will give back also that love that was shown to you. That's not how the love works.

Nabi did the right thing here, she is drawing the boundaries well from Do Hyeok and doesn’t seek for a rebound. And she’s right too - Do Hyeok is romanticising her. I’m disappointed in Do Hyeok for forcing his confession on Nabi like this when she was clearly feeling emotionally drained and unwell here. He is forcing his own selfish intentions on her and I don’t think Nabi would be happy even if she ends up with him.
Yes he totally forced it .. on top of it he is just overdoing it... That bus scene was supposed to be sweet but think about nabi she clearly said no but he is kind of forcing it on her without giving her some space n time

On top of that, he kept doing grand gestures over and over again which made NB so confused and guilty to the point she felt that she is disappointing DH during ep8. Everyone said DH is a nice boy that NB should depend on, but to me he doesn’t care so much about her feelings. NB was overall feeling miserable in this episode but DH was so proud of himself thinking that he had scored points with her after doing things for her.

To all the people saying he is pushing himself on her, no he isn't. Pushing himself on her is what Jaewon is doing. He clearly knows he is the reason behind Nabi's confusion and hurt. Jaewon literally wanted a casual relationship with her and she wanted more. He completely blamed her for their end of relationship and took no accountability. She went away from all this to clear her head and here he is again with no care of how she is hurting and just isn't ready. And yet you guys are romanticising this as love when it's just sooo toxic.
Do-Hyeok isn't pursuing her but just telling her his honest feelings. Because, he also needs to move on in life. But he did that with a lot of care. And it's good that he did that for Nabi as well. If Nabi were to figure his feelings out on her own, she would have even more trust issues and feel even more terrible. She would feel like she ended up using him even more and His honestly about his feelings towards her might make Nabi uncomfortable initially but in future she will be thankful for it because she would recognise that he is an honest person whom she can choose to lean on.

I think it was very bold and brave to tell Nabi how he felt about her and my heart ached, I thought it wouldn't have, he's so sweet but I honestly think that she does care for Yang Do-yeak as just a friend, she loves him but not in the way he wants her to love him.
