One of the reasons JSS came in the 80s was for us to have a hand skill to work when one is unable to continue school. That was why it had technical skills, vocational skills, and life skills. Unfortunately, a lot of the teachers didn't tell us anything about this and we were just passing through the system.

In North America and elsewhere all scrolls are valued whether university, college or technical and vocational. These schools produce graduates with jobs on the market. The catch here is the vibrant economic system built. Every occupation is fairly compensated based on market value and quality of one’s occupational field. This meeker system is what is missing in Africa !
