One night, the sorceress summons you, saying there is something she wishes to discuss. You find her sitting by the fire, staring mindlessly into the flames. In a voice wracked with guilt, she apologizes to you for making you her prisoner…and then removes the enchanted bracelet binding you to her. As much as you had craved your freedom, you are nonetheless reluctant to leave--until she drops a second bombshell.

I'm so glad you liked it! I love this script series!
But she has done something to deserve the listener's kindness and gentleness: she told them, honestly and truthfully, about the horrible tragedy that led to people scarring her for like just as much as the tragedy itself. While yes, she is a murderer and a manipulator (which I will never truly forgive), she is also a victim of those in power, and of a corrupt system that doesn't care about victims that aren't in power or cared about by someone who is in power. Also, she has shown the listener a surprising amount of empathy, compassion, mercy, and tenderness once she discovered that they each have an eternal struggle caused by the exact same thing (being born with an affinity for magic), and the exact same person (the king, who is blinded by grief). While yes, she did try and use the listener as a means to torment their father, she quickly discovered something that opened her eyes to a brand new silver lining. Maybe the hier will reveal their magic to the king just before healing him, assuming that the king doesn't try to have the heir killed for possessing a magical affinity. Because if he does, the heir will flee with the potion because it can be given. And once magic is allowed in once more, we will have peace.

That's a little cruel. She's still a victim herself, you know. More often than not, perpetrators are also former victims of the same horrid deeds, if not of worse deeds. While I agree that her decisions were not justified, and that she did it all of her own free will, you must consider the part that the rest of the world has played in her path towards revenge.
@@lachlanparker570 A person's past may influence their actions. But it doesn't dictate them. Her situation was reached by the choices SHE MADE. None of which were of which were the fault of the prince. While I do feel sympathy for her, that doesn't excuse what she did. NO ONE has the right to do that to anyone. Regardless of the circumstances. 🤷♂
@@belm7448 I’m not saying that she doesn’t have amends to make, damage to repair, or atrocities to answer for. What I’m is that she is still a victim herself, which in the real world is too easily forgotten (if not almost always). I don’t agree with simple incarceration. We need rehabilitation. We need to help them reclaim who they are, and who they want to become. Throughout history, humans have been very quick to lay blame, and I am no exception, but we need to do better, for the sake of both logical fairness and the wellbeing of all life on this planet.

I agree. A great many perpetrators were once victims themselves. Incarnation and capital punishment are not the way to go. Instead, we should help them reclaim who they were, and let them become who they want to be.

I really hope that the listener returns to her as soon as they possibly can. Maybe they spoke with the king about everything and the anti-magic laws got reversed early. Or maybe the listener was too late. Either way, I want the listener to return to our sorceress soon, and with a certain "proposal" in mind.

Oh, plans, I always have some of those. 😁 Next up is an audio for a scriptwriter appreciation event, and I'll be filling a (really good!) script that has not gotten many fills. I don't want to give spoilers, though, since I'll be sharing an art creation short to guess the character soon. :D I'm going to try not to leave you waiting too long for the final Dark Sorceress audio, since this was such a cliffhanger(!), and I've recruited another talented VA to help me with another long-awaited sequel script. Question: why is the screen nothing but grey? Is there a dispute about the artwork used?
I'm not seeing a grey screen at any part of the audio, and I haven't got any notifications about a problem. There's a brief period near the end, when the listener leaves the room, where the screen is black before my outro card comes up, because I didn't think it would add anything to the audio to come up with an image for the hallway. If that's not what you're talking about, then I'm not really sure. Maybe you've encountered some kind of yt glitch?
@nightshadequeenasmr maybe. But then it happened again with part 7 immediately afterwards. It could indeed be a mere irritating glitch, and that's being optimistic. I'll try again and get back to you right away.
Edit: they both work now, at least for the first few seconds. Somehow this is still frustrating, especially after I tried each audio a second time _at the time._

I want to thank you for how politely you said this. Your position is completely valid. I can't imagine I would ever, in any real life situation, encourage someone to become romantically involved with their kidnapper, who began everything by treating them the way she did. I completely respect the way you feel, and I truly appreciate the respect you also showed in your comment.

I know I might comment on other things similar to this and seem rude or mean, but I don't try to be.
I've just had some bad personal experiences with women taking advantage of me and it frustrates me to see it sometimes.
I do like a lot of your stories and I understand if some people do enjoy this story, I'm not completely blind to it it just brings up bad memories and makes me angry.
Yeah, completely fair, and I entirely understand. I'm the same way, there are many well-written scripts that I pass up simply because they remind me too much of my own trauma. Just because this didn't happen to be one of them for me doesn't mean I don't see how it could be for others. The character's behavior at the start is terrible when viewed through any RL perspective. And part of the reason I AM okay with this series myself is because it gave me the opportunity to express how unhealthy that is in descriptions of earlier parts.
If this is upsetting for you, then you may not want to listen to the final part. I certainly won't be offended, and I would like for your listening experiences on my channel to be pleasant. But I also know that some people purposefully choose to listen to things they find traumatic for various reasons, and I can understand that, too. I just want to give you fair warning. And I hope you find some of my other audios to be more enjoyable.

Usually when I leave Commons people either just delete them or tell me not to listen to the stuff.
But my thing is, there are times where something like this can be written well. Either for the listener managing to escape and get some justice or a situation where the speaker is actually regretful of their actions or has a form of justification for what they did. Other than somebody else hurt me, so I'm going to hurt you in return.
That's why I tend to listen to these ones with the hope that it'll actually be better than I initially, think.

Announced standing job nightshade outstanding now how long will we have to wait for the lonely sword spirit and the evil mage and will the lonely sword spirit find themselves a human body to live with the listener cuz it sounded like from the end of that story she was waking up in a human form because her voice didn't sound distorted does this mean somebody found you and the listener and somehow resurrected you and puts you in a body do I turn the TV down
I'll be honest, I have no idea how long it will be before I have the next script, and I have NO idea what's coming next! I do know that Chimera is working on it, but the next part will be a complete surprise to me, just like everyone else! Which is pretty exciting for me!
@@nightshadequeenasmr you know I have a funny no a premonition from deep within my soul that the listener in this audio is going to become queen or king of their country and is going to renounce that the hunt and execution of these magical people is over and say they are themselves with magic and then ask their guards and their people for carrots so they can go back to your castle in the forbidden waste and bring you to their castle and announce that they or you will be your court mage
