- I made this video because Obey Me seems to be losing its charm, it's not as good as it used to be. Obey Me OG had a lot of contents but when NB came, they straight up abandoned it. I played NB, the story doesn't seem to be mature enough, less romance which is understandable because of the context of the story, but when romance does happen it's forced.

I'm going to be full-on honest. I started playing obey me about a year and a half ago, and I loved everything about it. But when nb was released I stopped playing the og and started to focus more on nb, and tbh idk why. And now I keep changing my account on og because I feel disappointed in myself everytime I open the og obey me. and I was SO ANNOYED when they said they'll stop doing the birthday events. It isn't fair for all of us man, like I know mb is currently getting more popular than og, and og is being forgotten or worse, abandoned. I really wish the devs didn't became greedy man, now both of the games are just tiring now. In og it's a little more boring, and in nb shits ALOT more expensive.
I disagreed when you said NB is a lot expensive. I said NOH. You literally got devilpoints if you score S or full combo. Which mean you can get devilpoints WAAY more easier.
Not only that, grinding grim in NB is a lot better because of Azuki wallet. And to skip in OG, you have to be VIP bruh?
Dont get me wrong. I am an Obey me player OG when they just got released. And i enjoyed NB more because it got easier.
But i DO got annoyed when they say they will stop doing birthday events?! At least try to do MC's event story? Bru?
Thanks so much for addressing this on YT and everything here is facts they’ve been removing everything from the OG game and straight up abandoned it some time after Nightbringer.
Even the spotlight events that started off really good, went REALLY downhill after Nightbringer
Everything went downhill for me when they stopped doing revivals 😭. Even the 2023 Anniversary event they didn't give free 50 pulls like back then, they only gave 1 UR voucher and no new anniversary cards.
@@rainnnsan Yep I remember last HDD we got 150 free summons and two banners for every character with loads of sales it was a really good time when last HDD events took place
The even weirder thing is which I don’t understand, that the devs would definitely be making money if they bought up revivals on the OG since more players actually play the OG while most aren’t even aware of NB and there are still so many cards that are left that players would like to pull for, yet they’re still trying to abandon it so hard
This is why i quit the OG it just isn't fun anymore I do love Obey Me but its not something i put much effort into anymore and yea the newest events and pop quizes are meh the storys aren't all that great the only reason i do any of them is for a card i like or a outfit i want

YES MY GOD Even in an event (I think it was a belphegor focus, I-don't-know-what-thing-Candy) the rewards for participating every day in the OG were blatantly POOR compared to those in NB, where in OG they gave you ONLY energy and in NB they gave you vauchers and devil points.
At this point, I don't feel that NB is such a good game either and the fandom is super dead after the release of NB (Which was only half a year ago, being Twt/X the only ones who are barely active 😭). The events are being relatively boring with few romantic moments and TOO many consecutive ones, I can't even continue with the original story because there is already an event on the way; I feel that this project lacks dedication and I am afraid that it will be destroyed by the devs for their greed and that, consequently, Obey Me! dies ;;
Yeah, Obey Me is starting to feel a bit lackluster now. They're just obligated to make new cards with no efforts to just keep making money
I go back to read the old devilgram posts and they were more enjoyable than the newer ones.
One of the old early events I hadn’t tried since I was a year late on this game; was when the brothers were selling candied apples bc mammo did something dumb. Something about that one was really good. The brothers aren’t bickering for the sake of drama and simping. They’re working together taking turns so that half the group can enjoy the festivities. Like I like that. It was that good.
now, I didn’t play OG a whole bunch, prolly only a few months before NB, and I (accidentally) lost my account after NB came out, so I don’t play OG at all anymore and focus on NB. but not being able to transfer your OG account or at least connect it to your NB account is complete bull. especially for people who worked really hard on OG from the start. and now that they’re continuing lesson 80 on NB, OG players might have to throw their account away or sell it because there will hardly be any updates. they should at least let you connect your OG and NB accounts so you can have your OG cards.
I haven’t been on og as much since s4 ended and it continues on NB. I don’t like NB as much as I do then OG bc it’s a lesser quality game and you have to pay 2x the amount for everything. Especially the chibi costumes.

Yeah it's hard to adjust to another game when already been investing so much, not much of a rhythm game person. The premium pictures/wallpaper of the new cards was the final straw for me, because NB and OG mostly always have the same cards being release, yet this time only NB get those wallpapers.
@@rainnnsan the biggest disappointment is the devilgrams stories themselves. Like most of them have been a little halfbaked. And you ask yourself this is what I get for getting 200x pulls ?

The devs are mammon, now it makes sense why he was the one of the brothers that got more attention than the other characters. Maybe a form of projection?
It was kinda obvious since he’s the “supposedly” mascot for their game title. ☹️ I don’t hate him.

From the moment they said there'll no new lesson in og I already guess the og gonna get abandon, It's better if they just put nb as a new gameplay for og. We can choose if we want battle chibi or rhythm game. I don't care how big storage is as long both of the game become one.
Really... After I play og for 3 years and just throw like that... Because of og we got an anime, a song, seeing otaku fm, interact with seiyuu and having fun with other player.
They could just put nb story as new lesson where there a mystery things that brought mc to brother's past life. I can't express how frustrated I am when all we collect just stay in dust like that in og. And they got a nerve to asking us to keep supporting the og when they're the one who remove alot of things.
I'm still willing to support the nb and I really, extremely hope that dev to think this over to just combine these two game together.
One missed opportunity: if they allowed online trading card trading. That would’ve made the game super interesting.
Honestly I agree I only started playing obey me cause of the Og but now there nb I like it but it’s too expensive and a lot more harder.
I do get your point as well, is terribly sad the state in which the original game is now. I still remember when after the first year of obey me many thought the game was over until they started updating the game and adding new stuff wich made the game more thrilling but since the release of NB the game is going back to that point where there's no much activity and is quite boring, you can't get the hype you used to get.
By other hand, I do understand why they made a second game, at least in my case the game was lagging a lot due to every single thing they were trying to add (like the app to watch the anime or smth, and those apps after it) and I can't deny the fact that the new game works better but still, I feel kind of disappointed with how neglected is the OG, not sure they'll do smthg about it as well.
Perhaps it could have worked better that if they wanted to abandon or get rid of the old game they could have made an option to connect your OG account with the NB account so you could be able to bring your cards and progress to the new game, or at least that's the best option I can think of as of now.
This is an example of an entire franchise being carried by just the fans. I wanted to wish it wasn’t true but seeing how they just abandon the game and make you pay for things is just bs atp. The only way I even interact with this is by some fans works and theories that they’ve made. If someone were to make a reimagine with a whole story line and interesting series, I would for sure watch it.
I left Obey Me since long time ago, like 2-3 years ago?? I guess they start to be greedy when the first anime season released or when they announced new 3 characters?? I don't really remember. But damn I remember how my friends and me complaining 24/7 about them before leaving to either TWST or Enstars. Idk they're getting worse wtf dev 😭

I def agree too, i also abandoned OM before like around when new characters were released? Some few reasons, including the reason of getting bored or stuck, i feel so bad knowing there are still SOME people out there who wants to play the OG one bcus currently rn i redownloaded it, the current event was focused on Diavolo mainly, the rewards were also quite poor as i witnessed it, and things were just, somehow plain, i redownloaded OM bcus i missed my bb Mammon🥹🥺 but now its just, somehow there’s an empty feeling of the game being not enjoyable. Despite that, i haven’t tried NB and i heard from others that it’s a bit better yet it still lacks something for them. Damn.. what happened to my favorite game..😞 i dont even wanna let go bcuz of Mammon..
Tbh, i pick the wrong time play the OG (around Jun 2023 i start play this game). I must said the OG was more difficult to get strength the card all alone without generousity of the dev to give us some currency or something else help that progress. To get UR/UR+ Card to not the easy one especially me as F2P. Now i finally get in Lvl 128 but still lack of strength.
In another side, i also play OM NB around Feb 2024 (actually i played it around August 2023 before but erase it cause my lack of phone memory and happen to continue play it) and now i get in Lvl 38. Is so easy to get DP and more generous to give us more other stuff (in my opinion), but it's almost so easy too to spend the DP especially if you looking for the UR+ joker card for strengthen your UR+ card.
I don't know about the what's more interesting story in Devilgram or pop quiz event from OG to NB (cause like i said, i picked the wrong time play this game). But i thing the most issues for developer to fix if they want develop the OG one properly was to getting back that Solomon's Sale and Otaku Booth camp for at least helping us, especially F2P, to get DP and DV.
Maybe, for my fellow OG player that never touch the game again and consider to play the NB can read this and ready to prepare yourself for this developer bulshit and play favor.
Yeah they stopped doing revivals in May-June 2023, the Solomon sale was a good offer to buy DV. The only easy way to get DV now is the level up set reward, pop quiz events & mammon's rip off sale. Grimm is such a bothersome to farm too now
@@rainnnsanYeah 😢. Maybe I can spend all my DP just for the Grimms sake if i want to. But i still need Nightmare to get Lust (Pink card) and Sloth (Purple card) UR/UR+ card so i can get better play the OG

I just started playing 3 months ago both of the games and i didn't know at all about all this it's really sad to see them abandoned the og and I got to say nb is good but also too hard for me to play with the music I'm not so good at that i wish it was the same as og or that we were able to change also I'm up for the story i need to know more but knowing there is no more 😢in the future part make me suffer i want to know what actually going to happen after what we did in nb it would be so amazing too but It's sad since the game fell down to the greedy desire ...
I swear... It all went downhill as soon as Obey Me introduced those black energy drinks....
The game started getting more pay-to-win, they changed the birthday and event card challenge board by making it harder to obtain the exclusive cards, and the game overall felt bland after that. It just feels like a huge cash grab now, and it hurts how the devs aren't even being discrete about it.
They discontinued the OG and made everyone’s money go to waste! they shouldn’t have taken the risk, and should’ve introduced nightbringer w the attitude of it being a dlc, but no they had to make a new entire game.
I've been playing it for almost 3 years now. I'm a mad player who skips events solely for collecting UR+ cards. How I'd wish they could have just rebrand the OG game. It feels like they prioritize gaining new players rather than keeping its fanbase for years. The OG holds a space in my heart but it saddens me that it deviates farther from being a user friendly. Nightbringer is not totally bad but they should've just add these new features in the OG. Now those hungry money grabbers reaped what they saw, what a disappoinment.

It’s a new game solmare made , kinda like a prequel to OG obey m but sadly you have to start afresh. Nothing is transferred over just a new game that sort. You start from literally nothing and you have to grind everything again

Yup, different story. Same contents, but not all the time. They give more rewards in NB more than OG now.
Try if you want. Honestly; in my opinion, NB is a half baked version of og. They doubled the points. You can’t buy vouchers with points anymore only ravens and it takes forever. Or use real money to buy 150 pts to pull a new card. The rhythm game aesthetic is so out of place and it feels like a chore rather than enjoyable. FPS is 30 while I think og is 45fps-60. And this is just me; but the Home Screen where you tap your fav boi, I don’t like it bc they take the entire space. Oh and you know the tiny chibi costumes that the boys wear when you grab a new card and comes with a new free cute costume; yeah, you have to buy that separately in NB. I’m not kidding.

not really in og you learn the story and mostly a lot of stuff about the characters, Nb (nigthbringer) is like the second part of the story I guess, kind of the same but its your choice, depends on your play style
Yeah depends on your play style, but. I would say continue to play the OG story first then the NB so you'll get accustomed to each characters.
If you enjoy the story keep playing og bc some parts of the story they mention in og. That’s why when newcomers play NB they might not get it bc they have to play the og to understand. Which is simply weird and I get why they don’t wanna do it. They don’t transfer your grinding efforts from og to the new one. And don’t do a recap when you start the story in NB.
I’ve been playing this game since I was IN SIXTH GRADE. I'm now in ninth. I’ve had problems I’ve been wanting to address and my time has come! (Also, keep in mind I haven't gotten past lesson 21 in og om and I'm only talking about og om).
1) The lore/World building. Guys, I’m a whore for lore and yet I genuinely don’t know what the fucking lore is. Can I get more lore about Simeon or something? Am I asking for too much? There's no world-building either. There are three realms… and then what? Like… Where’s the rest of it? It would also be nice to see characters outside of the main cast.
2) Characters backstories. I'm sorry weren't the seven demon brothers in a FUCKING WAR? And you’re telling me these mf came out of it FINE? I haven't seen one scar on them. I would excuse this if it WEREN’T for the fact they FOUGHT in it. It would have been so cool if one of them had a prosthetic.
3) How the characters are written. The way they wrote the characters makes them seem more like… generic high school anime characters. The demon characters don't FEEL like demon characters. I wish they buffed them more, like no way I lost to Belphegor. Give me prep time and it's gonna be the Montgomery brawl all over again. I'm disappointed they just became stereotypes too…
4) The MC. I wish I wasn't forced to say something mean or nice when I don't want to. It would be so easy to have three options; Agreeing, neutral, or disagreeing. Something like this. I wish I could be more of a little shit like Nicole (Class of 09), not a certified therapist. I can barely help myself what makes them think I can help them? 😔
5) Luke. Holy shit leave that little boy ALONE. I come back after a break to see Obey Me is getting traction…. FOR THE WRONG REASONS. I don’t like how they drew/treated him in that one event. (I forgot which one.) They made him appeal to the wrong AUDIENCE. I don’t know why they thought that was okay to begin with.
6) Pay 2 win. I feel like most of us know what I'm talking about.
7)Devil tree. It's so hard to level up your cards when the items that you need aren’t even available. (Like skulls). I’m pissing, sobbing, shitting, throwing up when I find out I have to grind on the hard mode to get a certain item only for me to use all three turns… and not get it.

8) Cards. The one time I get a Mammon card, HE’S WHITE. Last time I checked he isn't white!? Mammon isn’t the only victim, it's Simeon and Diavolo. Like, let my beautiful bbl omega sigma alpha kings keep their skin color! It's always that one artist too. Also, it's incredibly hard to get good cards without paying!!!!!
9)The wait screen. I was trying to play Obey Me during lunch, and it took 18 minutes for it to open. It isn't even game size, Skullgirls is 2.2 GB, and it opens FASTER than Obey Me. Honestly, that might be a skill issue for me tho.

@@Divorcepap4rs You perfectly sums it up all. The whitewashed on Mammon, Diavolo and Simeon bugs me too. I would like to have MC to have more variety of options to pick, because if it were me I would pick the nonchalant choices, not always being kind and sarcastic.
I love NB, but...why the event story just..got boring? And it's rarely harem, but focus on one character? I missed the old Obey me Events, they were the peak story that got me giggling and blushing. Its Otome game, you cannot called a game is Otome while yu cannot harem in event story?
I feel the dev did abandoned om original they'll stop doing any events, birthday events or etc I hope the dev shouldn't be abandoned om original cuz it's a waste of project.
