  • Schools in the Boston region don’t have enough dormitories for their students. Liz Neisloss explains how that drives up rental prices and squeezes overall rent supply for the entire population. The city of Boston says its a big problem for four neighborhoods in particular: Allston, The Fenway, Brighton, and Mission Hill. The Mayor of Somerville, Katjana Ballantyne, believes it’s up to the colleges and universities to accommodate their students.

    The schools should be forced to build housing. With how much money they make, they need to be held accountable.
