Good analysis Harshavardhan. Keep it up. Govt and Establishments not interested in giving details of likely pension to pensioners. After death of pensioner and spouse the corpus of pensioner is not returned to next of kin of pensioner. It will be enjoyed by EPF. Letters are not clearly mentioning the procedure of depositing money to EPFO authority. So if a person has corpus, it is better to buy annuity or invest in any other instrument giving good intrest.

Very detailed & informative analysis, Sir. I have 3 queries: 1. For how many previous years can we claim benefit under sec. 89 of IT Act on arrears? 2. Is there any provision for exemption or rebate in IT Act on the amount that we have to refund to EPFO before getting arrears - OR is it one way traffic only? 3. I retired on 16.9.2014. Shall I also be placed in the similar category of 'beneficiaries' who retired post 1.9.2019, as pro-rata in my case shall be quite negligible (15 days + 59.5 months)?

Epfo crooks surprise me why they didn't calculated pension with 2005 one adding 730days here and then upto 31 aug 14 and then after this. For all calculation the crooks should take 60 months average. But I have a request to the Union and state ministry to implement this pension system to all MPs MLA s and all government pensioners immediately

Shri Harshwardhan Thanks for the explanation and making it very simple to grasp. However I am not clear about the breakeven. After deduction of pension received and IT liability at 30.04% (315583) net amount remains is Rs.467900. as against payment was made of Rs.613241/- which means excess payment of Rs.145341 was made (excl further int cost). This excess amount divided by additional pension works out to 19.65 months or 1.64 Years. Am I correct

EPFO has issued an internal circular to all RPFCs for obtaining pensionable salary & Higher pension on 14-02-2024. So now onwards pension will be calculated as per that internal circular only.

It clearly states 25:42 that whether you retired in 2020/21/22 pension will be calculated on pro rata.

Govt and Establishments not interested in giving details of likely pension to pensioners. After death of pensioner and spouse the corpus of pensioner is not returned to next of kin of pensioner. It will be enjoyed by EPF. Letters are not clearly mentioning the procedure of depositing money to EPFO authority. So if a person has corpus, it is better to buy annuity or invest in any other instrument giving good intrest.

Very detailed & informative analysis, Sir. I have 3 queries:
1. For how many previous years can we claim benefit under sec. 89 of IT Act on arrears?
2. Is there any provision for exemption or rebate in IT Act on the amount that we have to refund to EPFO before getting arrears - OR is it one way traffic only?
3. I retired on 16.9.2014. Shall I also be placed in the similar category of 'beneficiaries' who retired post 1.9.2019, as pro-rata in my case shall be quite negligible (15 days + 59.5 months)?
You will be placed in the post 1.9.2014 category as the pension will be calculated in Days. Whether its 15 days or 150 days is not relevant.

Epfo crooks surprise me why they didn't calculated pension with 2005 one adding 730days here and then upto 31 aug 14 and then after this. For all calculation the crooks should take 60 months average.
But I have a request to the Union and state ministry to implement this pension system to all MPs MLA s and all government pensioners immediately
Interestingly, for central govt employees ,in UPS they are taking last 12 months average.
But fir eps they take 60months average.

After deduction of pension received and IT liability at 30.04% (315583) net amount remains is Rs.467900. as against payment was made of Rs.613241/- which means excess payment of Rs.145341 was made (excl further int cost). This excess amount divided by additional pension works out to 19.65 months or 1.64 Years. Am I correct

EPFO has issued an internal circular to all RPFCs for obtaining pensionable salary & Higher pension on 14-02-2024. So now onwards pension will be calculated as per that internal circular only.

Kindly tell something on calculation of higher pension who have opted for differred pension I.e instead of on 58 years of age contributed till the age of 60 to EPFO.
Only difference would be that you would 4% pension more for each differed year .rest all remains same.

@@Valueaddition-Harshwardhan Thanks Sir I can't understand when a single person like you can go deep into all possible calculations what is the problem with EPFO who are having so much staff.Nothing has changed whether it is Modi or Manmohan makes no difference.Reality is the govt does not want to take any action on this.Actually the part which goes for pension in epfo was paid by the employer so they should have been asked to pay this amount,court has given such kind of verdict.All in all there is no change only in the name of govt marketing is going on.
