This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. czcams.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.
Liking what I see, will purchase the plans soon. When I get to building mine I'll be cheating and using my CNC router for some of the work :) Looking forward to the next update, keep up the great work.
I think that its possible to avoid major of leftover chips if you try steam bend solid wood instead of cutting ply, also maybe pre bending plywood composite by yourselves can save some material, good job anyway and its also nice that you also take care about material efficiency, its rare behavior those days. ;)
You've mentioned the importance of stiffness and minimizing warp for the sliders. Have you consider using plastic lumbar on the sliders (or other hidden parts) to provide a more stable material.
+mccreary637 A little, the higher strength stuff seemed fairly expensive compared to wood and as long as you plan carefully expansion contraction shouldn't be too much of an issue. My slides actually shrank slightly over time and I shimmed them out with a piece of the low friction tape to reduce play back to normal.
You did a really great job here. I'm going to attempt to build one myself for my office. I needed a round table that wasnt so big all the time. This is perfect.
This will not be your "grand dads" Jupe table. It will be interesting to see how the inside if the ring is fitted to the closed, out if round table? This is really fun to watch, Thx.
+Hugo Danilo I was concerned about spring-back and internal tension distorting the shape. The waste of building a bending frame should be included too. (I also had the 1/2" plywood on hand, anything else would require a trip to the lumberyard.)
Scott, I believe you and I have corresponded about your table but, I cannot find your email. Can you please contact me. I'm not far from you in Michigan and would like to discuss this project.

Should get shock absorbing gloves designed for people with carpal tunnel they help with vibrations

Great watch, really enjoyed it. Any rethinks 2 years on? Planning a work bench but can decide if this will work for me.
Wow that is a fantastic table.
Looks really nice, looking forward to next week's vid. :)

oops, I guess its not round when extended, hmmm.
Мужик, ты гений!
bringing order to chaos, well said
Great progress! Can't wait to see the final upgrade.
Exposuee to vibration may cause carpal tunnel and nerve damage.
thumbs up for brush sparks

Why didn't you bend wood for your ring? Less waste. Better look.
