  • Starting Saturday, April 27, people who live on the Eastside will have a new way to get around. After nearly a decade of construction, the East Link Extension will be open for service.
This new extension is almost seven miles long. It has eight stations to allow people to ride between South Bellevue and the Redmond technology area, and it will eventually go even further.
The part of the link that opens on Saturday will run every 10 minutes between 5:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. seven days a week.

Open more lines so we can reduce the traffic and car dependence. It's also cleaner for the environment

Going to be pretty nice for the several dozen people who live close to the stations snd actually travel that route

It’s definitely pretty fast! Can’t wait til it connects to the existing line in Seattle.

Eh it's kinda slow like 40mph max and then it stops at each station for like 1 full minute. It should only be stopping for like 15 seconds at each station

@@Kahoobb it's 18 minutes end to end vs over half an hour in bellevue traffic by car
