Pink Floyd is AI??! Now I am scared
Incredibile
Hello Mr. David Gilmour , how are you? First L P i bought is
" Meddle " ( 1975 ) you should have let Roger play . 😬 and
I am Pink Floyd ! . Good evening
WTF!! Amazeballs!!
Could you imagine what it would have been like for the band members of Pink Floyd to see this at the time they made it 🤯
In the middle of an LSD trip.
I wish this were available back when I was exploring.
3 of the 5 band members are still alive. I would absolutely love a reaction video!
(from wikipedia)
Syd Barrett - lead and rhythm guitars, vocals (1965-1968) (died 2006[278])
David Gilmour - lead and rhythm guitars, vocals, bass, keyboards, synthesisers (1967-1994, 2005, 2007, 2013-2014, 2022)
Roger Waters - bass, vocals, rhythm guitar, synthesisers (1965-1985, 2005)
Richard Wright - keyboards, piano, organ, synthesisers, vocals (1965-1979, 1990-1994, 2005, 2007) (touring/session member 1979-1981 and 1986-1990) (died 2008[279])
Nick Mason - drums, percussion, vocals (1965-1994, 2005, 2007, 2013-2014, 2022)
That's getting the cart before the horse, they had to go first and create the data set before the AI could do anything beautiful with it.
They probably saw something similar, the LSD was dynamite back then. This is one of my favorite Pink Floyd albums. I had it on 8track and the whole album would loop. I played it on headphones and would fall asleep listening to it.
i liked the part at 6:38 when it shows the getty images tag. truly showing it is taking everything fed from online and then creating and recognizing patterns layered on top of each other
It’s not like that came up because it was in one image, it came up because it’s in millions of images.

Omg this is sooo beautiful. The world desperately needs the energy from the 70's . I feel like they left messages for us from the past . They were so tapped that they transcended time . Their music gains meant relevance with time.

Because there was peace and they didn’t have to fight off angry moneys like we all do now.
Down to country.

This is the closest you can get to a psychedelic trip without taking anything that I have ever seen. The amount of associations and concepts you get in your mind is breathtaking. This video is BIG.
Also very big applause to the creators that directed the AI up to this. You are geniuses.
No actually

"Genius" sure describes an AI led by an exceptional human artist on first-class subject (Pink Floyd Sound!)

This song is also the same length as the final scene in 2001 a space odyssey and it follows all the visuals as well, I recommend looking it up and watching it, equally as trippy
Except it isn't as boring & preposterous.
Each and every frame could be an amazing album cover and there's a trillion of them. This is both magnificent and terrifying.

Yeah lol this is like the most realistic depiction I’ve seen of tripping absolute BALLS which is crazy to see from an AI
@@nathangray4601 She’s not talking about the music, she’s arguing that the visual depictions are plagiarism as the deep learning AI utilizes countless works of art from across the lnternet. AI art will never be true art
@@jsegaul420 elaborate
@@Duck0fDoom An AI can never replicate the creativity or the emotion that goes into creating art made by humans unless the AI itself is also sentient.
Until that point, AI art is nothing but a bunch of collages of stolen internet art and random images. It's all surface level, there's no deeper meaning or creative process behind any of the images you're seeing whereas with *actual* art, whoever creates it is capable of those kinds of nuances.
This is what I can imagine Pink Floyd is like while on LSD, this is the definitive way of experiencing the art.
Which version of echoes is this one?
3:53 and the preceding riff is my favourite part of the video, the drum and beat changes and every frame feels like it was perfectly hand animated
What an epic visual journey. You don’t even need to be high on psychedelics to experience that trip. I had so many feelings I hardly know what to do with myself now.
Exactly what I thought. That's close to the kind of things you see on psychedelics, but now it seems we don't even need that
Honestly this was cooler than most of DMT trips, and I can actually rewatch this one!
the part at 12:38 when the guitar comes in is so beautiful, it goes from like nature, and greenery to conceptual buildings and structures.
That part gave me the chills
yes
Overhead the albatross
Hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves
In labyrinths of coral caves
The echo of a distant time
Comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine
And no one showed us to the land
And no one knows the where's or why's
But something stirs and something tries
And starts to climb toward the light
Strangers passing in the street
By chance, two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand the best I can?
And no one calls us to move on
And no one forces down our eyes
No one speaks and no one tries
No one flies around the sun
Cloudless everyday
You fall upon my waking eyes
Inviting and inciting me to rise
And through the window in the wall
Come streaming in on sunlight wings
A million bright ambassadors of morning
And no one sings me lullabies
And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky
Just one word ,Brilliant
Thank you for posting the lyrics : )

You beat me to it. I don't trip anymore but I do remember the crazy movies that played on the backs of my eyelids -- constantly moving, changing patterns and faces, etc. Actually they're still visible, though on a smaller wallpaper scale, especially when I wake up in the middle of the night to take a wiz, though it fades away in about 30 seconds or so.

Not an acid psychedelic trip. It’s more like a DMT trip.
@@dullaf4099 it's a high dosage trip. I remember the last and only time Ive been on 1500ug LSD and trust me, It was completely like this.
My thought exactly
When the album, Meddle, came out in late 1971 - with Echoes taking up all of side 2, it was not only the peak of Pink Floyd IMHO, but it was recognized by many later as the very peak of the whole genre of psychedelic rock. The song is nothing less than a Masterpiece. Great as this video is, the song cannot be captured and really listened to and fully enjoyed on a personal computer. The fidelity of the recording is superb and it really must be listened to on a high-end stereo, and LOUD. Like at around 5:35 after the first part of Gilmour's screaming guitar solo when it goes into the bass beat - you gotta FEEL it shake the room! Hell, shake the house! You gotta feel it on your body - not just hear it, but feel it! Ah, the memories of listening to this with my friends back in the day - almost 50 years ago!!. Now, I would listen to this on my home stereo but sync it and play this video broadcasted to my 65" wide-screen, like a light show.
Well, one of the peaks. Either Games For May opening the RAH & getting them banned for life, or Syd’s Floyd cranking out a thousand watts of Interstellar Overdrive at the 14hr Alexandria Palace all-night rave and ushering in the sunrise were them peaking the first time, playing Echoes to the ghosts of Pompeii peak 2, obv somebody out there likes Dark Side enough for it to have become a best selling album practically synonymous with vinyl for peak sales, the enormous film & stage shows of the wall could be considered a Waters solo album except all the most popular songs on it are Gilmours incl the most popular song they ever wrote and regular winner of “greatest guitar solo of all time” is on it, and in the bands own words David playing it standing on top of the wall in a spotlight was the peak of the band, and no matter how you slice it, the numbers of all tours added up are utterly dwarfed by the scale of the Momentary Lapse tour, & building a floating stage, pulling up to Venice and putting on a massive floating free concert for the entire population that caused such chaos it got them banned for life was probably the final peak. There’s like 5 careers worth of work in that one band.
relax, it sounds amazing with bose speakers
First heard this album on 8mm reel to reel with hifi headphones. I've never been the same!
Meddle is absolutely a masterpiece of music making by one of the best bands ever at their creative peak.
Worth paying $200 to get a 256gb Oculus Quest 2 off of Ebay. The video doesn't show it on here, but once you set it up you can see it in Virtual Reality.
This may genuinely be the most beautiful video I have ever seen... Paired with a song that means so very much to me.. Thank you ❤
This is the most exciting piece of animation I've ever seen. What creativity. It's like time lapse times a million mixed with DMT. Hats off to the creator. You are amazing.

I am not entirely sure how you even begin to tell A.I. to draw an image per frame based on sound and lyrics but I am very glad this exists. So fitting for this song!!!
Lyric based images is one thing, but sound based images kicks it up a level (or 2)!
Totally agree, but the lyrics are not reflected in the images (eg. kittens), nor are the changes synced with the song. To me, it looks like they feed their algorithm keywords every so often and let it rip, then simply lay Echoes over it (superb choice). I WAS expecting sync and context but I don't think we're there yet. Absolutely mind-blowing, though. No human would EVER create this. Kudos!
How did you do it?
@Angel. It's real, and that's a good question, it doesn't "feel" like Midjourney, if you'll look up Queen's Bohemian Rapsody and Don't Stop Me that was made with Midjourney you'll see what I mean. But since it doesn"t look like it was made with that ai, and the person that made this doesn't say which ai they used, the problem is that there are so many ais out there now that I couldn't begin to guess which one was used here.

Had countless trips to this video. Learned more than words could ever describe. Thanks bro.
Wow, that means a lot, I'm glad you got that much out of it, cheers man
Thanks for creating and posting this. I've just started watching it. I remember seeing Pink Floyd perform this song live & was amazed at how closely it sounded to the studio version. In the late 70's--early 80's, something called video art came out. It was essentially computer graphics set to a 4 or 5 minute instrumental song. I loved seeing that, & you might be able to find some of it on old broadcasts of a USA Network program called Night Flight.
Thanks for bringing back some great memories for this old man. You couldn't have picked a better soundtrack than this song. Now I'm going to shut up and see exactly what the AI thinks we should be seeing while Echoes plays. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky & have an acid flashback ??
Well, no acid flashback but what a great show. From the pyramids, planets, distorted faces, colors, backgrounds, I think the AI did a good job of capturing the overall mood of the song & worked in the individual instruments fairly well. I'm extremely familiar with this tune, & around the 10 min mark (atmospheric background sounds) every time Richard struck that single note, the artwork changed in perfect unison. Truly an amazing and beautiful job. You've won a subscriber & I've got some suggestions that I'd love to see the same thing done for !!
I loved NightFlight i had at one time nearly every episode recorded on vhs tape .have since lost those tapes but there remains tons of it perfectly etched into my memory. I always watched every episode twice as they aired it that way and recorded the second that way i was able to know exactly where the comercial breaks were and could make perfect edits for a commercial free recording without the stop and reque over recording video hash.
