The remaining Curved Dome-Rooted Corridor would be seen only in Centered/Main Chamber of Castle (prasat). The welcoming Entrance gate/stairway roofed-Corridor would be simple/straight Triangular Shape, influenced by new style/importing Chinese's Architecture which began to upcoming Popularity due to its simplicity and easy to make and safe lots of stone-material compared to Dome type roofed-corridor...of the original design. Indicate the more importancy of Chinese Trading influence of the regional economy at that time, near Thai-Khmer border on top of the hill.
Also the Paired stone Lion statues, stand guarding the stairway could be considered Chinese style, (except that too many of them, while chinese will only use only ONE pair of blg stone LIONs guarding main entrance DOOR of rich Chinese mansion.
Preah Vihear is in a sorry state. This temple should be awarded to Thailand since it is easily reached from Thailand. Thailand had restored and reconstructed all the Khmer temples found in Thailand for people to see the art and culture of the Khmers. Camobodia has not done much to achieve this.This is selfish and foolish. If it was restored by the Thais the world would have benefited and have a rich insight of this ancient Khmers.Now I think both countries Thailand and Cambodia should come together to find a solution to settle this matter for the goods of both countries.Share this as a joint venture afterall the Khmers had brought their heritage to this region. not the Cambodians or the Thai. So I think The H should not take side and try to help our ASEAN people, not to instill anger and revenge. Just look at Preah Vihear 3D in the internet, you would be astonished to find the wonders of this monument.
Khmer call themselves Khmer and the language is Khmer. Their country is Kampuchea but others may call Khmer according to their language e.g Cambodia or Cambodge). The ICJC court had already finished the case once in 1962. I am sure they knew what they were doing at that time. The skirmish that happened again in 2008 between Khmer and Thai was political gain from the Thai military Junta and Hun Sen regime rather than historical case.
