You said cant find character individually in the store. That is because you can buy individual characters . Like literally. Character menu, you see locked characters stand om em. I can understand that honestly. Raider's pressure is too honest and the reward isnt really there for his mixups, even when youre playing against someone who isnt trying to lame you out. His stunning tap and knee doesnt actually stun you anymore and doesnt drain stam either. His max punish stinks. His light parry damage stinks. And even if you consider his mix to be good, its all slow. Most characters can light interrupt or have a dodge option or MULTIPLE dodge options + deflect + full guard or whatever it might be. Youre really fighting an uphill battle trying to win a round as raider in a game that has basically left him and characters like him behind

His max punish in season 1 was crazy and he could kind of pressure you into making bad decisions back when stunning tap, knee, back throw all drained stamina (of course parrying also punished stamina back then too). He kind of rewarded a slow and methodical play style with very high bursts of damage if you could get there. Now with the rework and all the game balance changes hes meant to be played more explosively where he basically kills you with chip damage. In my opinion it's a bad change when, again, his mix is slow and there's so many fast characters in the game now, and the characters that aren't as fast just have better mix (Warden shoulder bash, etc). He doesn't even have kensei wall splat damage. What did they do to my boy.
ngl bash bash spam is hardly a skill gap, when its literally guessing a 50/50. Just saying, someones not bad for GUESSING which one you choose. This then is made harder with lvl 1 and 2 bashes involved.
Guessing in a vacuum is not a skill but in a game where you can figure out your opponent's patterns and condition them with mix-ups, then it becomes a skill to guess correctly.
Always embarrassing running into people who grinded as hard as getting Rep 80 on a character but play like it's they're second game ever before they rage-quit, like how tf do you not improve at all after all those hours

@@poobs2361 the version immediately after the latest rework was good. But ubi nerfed the hyper armor timing and damage so hard. That killed raider.
