When I was a kid, I had like, thirty games in my PSP. I had God Of War: Chains Of Olympus, GTA: Chinatown Wars, Persona 3 Portable, Lumines, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Wipeout Pure, Final Fantasy Tactics, Mega Man: Powered Up... and, of course, this game. This one game. This game is basically my entire childhood in a nutshell. Before I actually started playing the other games I mentioned, Toy Story 3: The Game was literally the only PSP game I played, and I played it EVERYWHERE. Every single moment possible, I was playing it. During family meetings, during travels, even when me and my family were in church. I loved this game so much that I actually got 100% completion, completed all the challenges and minigames, got every single collectible, and did everything you could possibly do in it. But even then, I didn’t stop playing it. Sure, I started playing different games after I completed that one, but every moment possible I still went back to it. I still have my PSP sitting in my shelf, with all the games and saves still intact, and I still play it every now and then when I’m bored. But it’s been a really long time since I last played this game. Just like Andy in the movie, I have played my first PSP game (aka this one) in years. I even forgot a lot of it. I didn’t remember that you could play with Sarge or the army man for example. I also didn’t remember the graphics being so pixelated. But the feelings I had while watching this didn’t change. In fact, the feelings hit even stronger than the FIRST time I played this game. Not even five minutes into this video and I was already crying tears of nostalgia, remembering the times when I would spend hours in my bedroom, lights out, under the sheets, just playing this for the 100th “last time”. I remembered the times where I would get mad at myself because I got caught during a stealth section because of a dumb miscalculation on the timing. I even remembered the times where I would completely ignore the main mission and just proceeded to play on the mousetraps that appear in some of the stages, just stepping on them, bouncing off them and doing it all over again and again for no reason at all (was I the only one who did that?). This game is basically a resume of my entire childhood, and watching it made me feel like I was a kid again. And this feeling is amazing. To whoever made this video.... thank you. Thank you so much.

Ive got quite a history with this game. Back when it released I was 10y old and I wanted a PSP so badly just because of this game (and GTA of course but my parents didn't need to know). So before my 11th bday my parents took me to a store to purchase the console in a bundle with ToyStory. I had the bundle in my hand and was on my way to the cashier, when. my dad suddenly came back and said "Hold on a minute, there's another console called Wii over there which allows local multiplayer." So they ended up buying me this instead of the PSP. I started crying and till this day I didn't forgive them for it. Anyways, now, 10 years later, I got myself an used PSP and ToyStory and I freaking love it man. Moral of the story: Good things take, I guess....

PSP version is quite different to the PC and console versions, but at least it manages to look decent despite the needed sacrifices for hardware limitations.

PSP was ahead of it’s time, great graphics for a portable system before mobile games became mainstream and the switch came out.
Though this is like the PS2 version which for itself is great.
