Thank you very much. I kept tugging on the radio after removing the two screws, I began to think there were other screws to locate and remove. Finally I searched for videos and found this one. Perfect!

I know this was a while ago but I have the same van. Did your van come with a stick amplifier? Once I wired the new harness to the van and spliced the ground wire together everything worked but I had no sound with anything. Any ideas?

I have a 2001 ram van and the sound stopped working on my stereo. Even installing the stock radio I have no sound. I've been told I need to buy bypass the amplifier that is under the dash

Im putting a stereo in a friends 2001 Ram Van. No amplified system. Is it necessary to connect both blue wires together? He has aftermarket speakers already in.
He is not installing a amp/subwoofer system
He doesn’t have a power antenna. Thank you.
Update 11.7.22: I put cap ends on both blue wires and still got sound but your video was helpful either way !! Thank you
This install is the same for all 1998-03 Ram Van models !

ah duct tape is not a good choice. Did you solder them? The wire matching is the most relevant thing that you skipped entirely.

  • @smoovt

Should work on 1995 ....Grand Caravans Are Different....

Duct tape? I can understand some people not wanting to use soldier/heatshrink or crimping wire connectors but DUCT TAPE? That's just silly and asking for problems. At least use wire nuts all you do is screw them onto the ends of the wires.
