  • Here is my process for making a wood cut-out.
    I have been doing Cut-Outs here and there for a couple years now, but I just recently got this scroll saw that makes the whole cutting process a lot easier and less dramatic that using a jigsaw. BUT if you want to just give a wood cut-out a try I would def recommend just buying a cheap jigsaw and see if you like your final product.
    This is the Harbor Freight jigsaw I have - www.harborfreight.com/power-t...

    Forgot to say….excellent work! My 19 year old son is an artist too and does stuff like this. I appreciate all the work that goes into your pieces. We’re from a tiny village in the arse crack of nowhere in the Scottish highlands and I reckon art has saved all 3 of my kids from going feral!

      I have done a few with a Resin coat which turn out really cool, but is also a lot of work.
      But I also have used a Spray Polyurethane that after a few coats gives the piece a nice shiny and protective coat.

    Hey I want to start the journey of making my own wood art . How do you hang them on walls ?

    • @magicalsticker
      @magicalsticker  Před 2 lety +1

      That’s awesome! It can be as simple as getting a couple screws and putting them evenly on the back and using string or wire to attach them.

    What type of wood do you use and where do you get it from??

    • @magicalsticker

      its usually just scrap pieces of wood that i come across. A lot of times you can find wood for free on craigslist. But you can also get good pieces from the hardware store. I would just recommend not using regular plywood, because you wont have a nice smooth surface to paint on.
