  • In this episode we finally enter the famous Litchfield National Park. After crawling our way to our first night camp, we bunker down and hide away from the torrential dry season rain. The next morning we set off to explore Sybel Springs before tackling a very wet and muddy Reynolds River Track to Surprise Creek Falls. Hooley Dooley!! What a spectacular place. One of our favourite waterfalls in the Litchfield National Park. A drone pilot’s paradise! Come along!

I was there in 1988 and we camped at Surprise Falls for a week, had it all to ourselves due to the hard 4WD track
    to get in.

Yea we found the harder it was to get too, either by car or hiking the quieter it was. Was a good fun track in 👍🏼

If the booking system didn’t work you should have just stayed there anyway. At least you tried doing the right thing, what more can you ask. And it looked like plenty of free spaces..

It’s something we grappled with. The campsite only had 2 others in it, so plenty of space.
I think because we didn’t know what to expect from Sybel Springs we wanted to get there. But now we know what we know we would of preferred and should of stayed at Surprise Creek 100%
