Each 54 minute episode felt like it went by in barely 20 mins .......
I legit thought the episodes were shorter than 40 minutes when I was watching. I was really bothered by why Netflix would make them have shorter episodes until o realized the show was just too good.

This freaking series was really well made!! I agree completely!!
They weren’t all 54 minutes. Some were over 70. Some were around 45
And it's just people talking. Talk (he-he) about people being wrong of not being able to make a thriller of any kind exciting without at least one hot pursuit. Good dialogue can overshadow any need for any action whatsoever.

Jonathan is super smiley irl - I guess David Fincher told him during season 1 “I’m not going to let you smile once on the show this season” and then he would and they’d have to wait to start rolling until he stopped. Sounds like it was pretty hard for him but he (and Anna and Holt) like you said are incredibly talented.
Also - I love 5:44 here where he starts laughing and then abruptly stops 😂
and once one realizes Holden is the original King George in Hamilton it’s even crazier. ashamed to admit it took me awhile to realize that lol
The Charles Manson character - it was literally like you were unsure if it really was him or not. Brilliant performance from all the actors. This series is addictive.
i knew it wasnt the real manson, because he died in 2017.

Although the guy who does Manson here does a great job Holt McCallany fails in my opinion as he doesn't mention Steve Railsback who in my opinion played the best Manson in the 1976 movie Helter Skelter. If you look on CZcams, watch the court room scene where Railsback enacts some of the actual words of Manson during the trial. Pretty powerful stuff.
Anna Torv looks so much like Cate Blanchett. her voice is similar too lol

That's a show for you lol it's never totally accurate or it won't be as exciting and addicting lol while watching, i was wondering how accurate the interviews are though. And did they interview every serial killer they have in the show? I'm assuming so since it was their job
Valley of Ashes I believe they watched interviews that were already done with the killers decades ago. I know Ed Kemper’s lines almost perfectly match up with things he’s actually said in interviews

When Manson appeared on screen I swear that it felt like the moment in The Dark Knight when the Joker first appeared.

Heath Ledger has cited Manson as one of the influences for his role as the joker. Its not all of the part but he definitely based some of the Jokers characteristics on him.

Mindhunter is such a brilliant show. I wish I could see it for the first time again and be floored all over again. David Fincher is genius!
Maliha Intikhab lets not give fincher all the credit after all I believe he did just 4 episodes. The other directors were insanely talented as well
@@inthedms82 completely agree! The other directors deserve all the praise in the world too. However, Fincher was the one who essentially set the tone for the show. Kind of like Reed Morano did for The Handmaid's Tale even though she only directed the first 3 episodes.

Actually it is a David fincher show. Yeah he only directed 4 episodes in season 1 & 2 in season 2, but he brought the show to Netflix. He already has a deadline for the show, he only wants to do 5 seasons.

The ending of season 2 is so anticlimactic yet extremely satisfying at the same time. This is probably one of the best series I've ever watched.
it really reminds us that sometimes crimes go unsolved, sometimes the police and the families of the victims don't get the closure they deserve.

Honestly the guy who played Ed Kemper and his performance is what made me fall in love with the show. He’s such a likable and seemingly kind hearted individual but underneath or at the same time as ruthless as they come. Phenomenal actor though.
I didn't know she is Australian. Her American accent on the show is perfect.
I thought her accent was horrible, she had no dialect. I didnt even know she wasnt American at first but it became way too distracting. Otherwise great show.

The series has this unique feature in that it slowly circles around the BTK case. The Atlanta murders were never conclusively settled. A single killer was convicted of the murder of two adults, and is tied by fibers to the death of several children - but not all of them. The case is back in the press again, because Atlanta/Georgia politicians are once again taking interest in the case. The consensus is that the man convicted is only one of possibly several killers. It would be interesting if the case resolves before the series ends, and they are able to revisit it in the show.
Frankly, I have never seen a series so easy to binge as this one. With most binges, I tend to want to "rush to the end". With this show, I want to savor every moment of film. Every second is pure art.

windyhead 7 yes John E. Douglas is renown for his work on Bundy which was during the Mid-late 80s’ so there’d definitely be a time period jump in either season 3, 4 or 5 just for that

"And if they jump to late 80s, they could feature his confessions.

Anna Torv's character arc in season 2 was my personal favorite. Mindhunter has some of the best sexual politics of any show in recent memory; with Holden being decidedly post-young/sexy relationship in season 1, with Tench valiantly fighting for his marriage/family throughout season 2 and w/ Carr diligently looking to balance her social and professional vocations all atop a backdrop of complete relational depravity, I just think it's endlessly fascinating. I'm excited for season 3!

EL Plagua no direct correlation, but it can often be misconstrued in interview situations that a guest who isn’t very forthright in speaking his or her thoughts, has little or nothing to say, when all they are really is very shy. I myself was in an interview situation with a colleague for a film promotion. I spoke often in the free-form forum where neither of us were directly addressed. Someone who was present made a snide comment suggesting that my colleague wasn’t very bright. He became, in fact, tongue tied and came across awkwardly. He’s actually extremely intelligent. It’s a common misconception to correlate being extremely taciturn with low intelligence.

I'm just enchanted by Anna Torv's posture. Mindhunter is the first time I saw her, and her posture and walk show a lot of confidence which I suppose is how the female character has to show in a male-dominated FBI and even in her teaching profession. Sometimes, though, I miss the dialogue and have to rewind.

10 Years ago - BrBAD the best TV show. Right now MINDHUNTER the best tv show. We need Matthew Mcconaughey in next season, in the role like Rustin Chole.

Matthew mcconaughea cant stop being himself long enogh to ever dissapear in a role. Which is what is needed in this show. You have to see the character, not the actor. He is way too big for something like Mindhunter. Off the top of my head, the only actor I can recall pulling it off is John Lithgow as the Trinity Killer in Dexter.

All the actors in this show were so amazing. I watched this series so many times I practically know the lines by heart. I was little when these things took place so that’s why it’s so interesting now at 53. Hats off to all worked n this project. Well done 👍
The best show on any network/ streaming service. All done without mindless gun fights, explosions, car chases, green screen effects or drawn out fight scenes. Just amazing acting, dialog and story telling.
Definitely my top Netflix show. I watched season 2 straight forward like a single movie.

@@Effi000 Yep he killed 10 people between 1974 and 1991 and was caught in 2005, well the show is set in late 70's next season it will be early 80's.

I watched entire Season 2, less than 48 hours after it was debuted. David Fincher outdid himself. Best series on tv. Period.

This show was one of the best of its kind I have seen in a long time. It's almost like I was watching what Criminal Minds would be like in the 70's.

What I truly wish is that they added a scene (which actually happened in real life) where Holden helped the courtroom trap the Atlanta child murderer into showing anger because the judge didn’t believe he was the murderer

What makes the show more incredible is how all three of them play very different characters yet all three feel so believable. Its just an amazing show that makes you think about so many things.
My boy Damon.. my god give this dude an Emmy or Oscar! He is suchhhhhh a brilliant actor, I've been watching his work for awhile now but holy hell!! His Manson was freaking SPOT ON. It was sooooo eerie. I got full body chills.

Mindhunter is just such a show for purists. It is so dark, so engaging and grippingly creepy. I never binge watch. But yeah I did for this one.

Such a great show. Really hope there’s a season 3 at least. I know the BTK story needs to be completed.
My only complaint is the sound editing. There have been some scenes where is missed the dialogue because the background ambiance sound. Was too loud. Example was the bar scene Holden and Annalise were meeting in the bar.

I watched some of the Kemper interviews after watching the show, and it's amazing how much the actor totally nailed the part. It was easy to forget which one was the real one or the fake one.
