Crazy in-depth tour of the soon to open Free Play Bar & Arcade in Worcester, MA. My friend Jay Leone is opening this place soon after this COVID BS is behind us. Tons of classic arcade games, everything from Atari, Nintendo, Gottlieb, Williams, SEGA, Taito, Capcom, Konami, and more! Tons of retro games and a really healthy pinball collection! - Hry
This is like Christmas every week with john back in the basement.
He's back in the closet now.
I love That Tim guy, brilliant channel, he has the best dolly in the business!
The Super Dolly 2000 at your service!
Definitely taking a short drive to here once everything's open and safe again. Looks amazing.
The heavens open and another episode of John's arcade descends upon us. How beautiful is this arcade, especially those neons paintings with the blacklights! I love the passion by these guys getting these older boards to work more proficiently with Tempest.
Love seeing That Tim Guy! Another good vid John, thank you
Give this guy a raise!
You should do a tour of your arcade since everything was moved around in new things came in and gone
Thanks John for reading out my viewer mail and the shout out of my channel. Going to get on to that Polo soon, I've got a spare remote board which still loops but will take a look at the connectors on the other end to see if that is what is causing the issue.
"oh wow you got the original 6 men x-player"
John, you should do another tour of Jay’s basement. I’d love to see where his cabaret collection is at!
Great Video! What A Great Place Jay!
Guys, I wanna go to Worcester now.
Me too, man
I have the address loaded in my GPS ready to go!!!!!!!!!!
I miss you John !! 🎉come back to CZcams !
love these long videos...thanks v much and glad you're back
I've been to the one in Providence, I absolutely recommend it to anyone who likes arcade bars!
This place looks amazing. If I lived there I would spend my whole paycheck there.
I know, plus supporting an arcade bar like this, knowing how much the owner cares about his bar and the arcade cabinets.
@McLovin hey if that were true I'm sure they'd be happy to take my $120 at this stage.
Good to have you back after your time out. This has been one of the best things in this aweful year soo far
Awesome to see that tim guy make a cameo!! I didn't know he helps Jay with the arcade
Hey, it's me!
@@ThatTimGuy hey man! Aren't you completely out of room in your game room now? Are you thinking of getting rid of something to make room for something else?
@@kintozero3169 Perhaps when I try to squeeze in the next game?? Or do I just stuff it into the storage area. That's not out of room...yet...LOL
Loving these videos. I'm finishing out of piece of my garage to have a dedicated space for my arcades and these make awesome background noise while working.
Wow! What an incredible video! I wish I lived close enough to make a trip to that arcade. It was REALLY done right!
Good to see you got to the Worchester location, I loved the grotto feel it gave when I first went; as usual incredible lineup from Jay, his pins collection is epic in both locations. Im at Freeplay RI in Providence weekly; best arcade around!
Your return is a major highlight of 2020, thank you!
The northeast arcade community is awesome. That super sprint I saw some earlier progress pics of it and the cabinet it was modeled off of. Now I know it’s Worcester, so cool! Good luck with your opening and thanks for sharing your collections with the community!
I’m glad these videos are back! 👍👍
great video guys, thank you immensely for posting !! :)
Wow , this place is really awesome. I love those murals. I hope they are able to weather the storm and open up.
nice to see you again john, feels like my monday nights are complete again, awesome arcade jay, congrats and good luck
Higgibaby special on the Super Sprint! 😉
I'm so happy to watch new video from John ! At least someting good in 2020.
Man I forgot how much I miss watching these. Welcome back!
It’s so weird seeing new videos from you. Glad you’re back!!
I wish I had a free play bar here in South Dakota. These days I'm not interested in pumping quarters in to games. I just want to enjoy myself.
GREAT PLACE!
Jay thought of everything. Wish i lived by this place when it opens.
As a fan of floor tiles, floor boards and skirting boards this video is my jam. I'm glad you didn't distract me by looking up too much on those silly flashing machines.
I have missed these massive 2 hour+ videos. Welcome back.
A truly epic video, and one hell of a beautiful arcade.
Welcome back, John. It has been a pleasure watching your new videos.
I see that Free Play Bar is still operating! A follow-up episode would probably pick up another 65k views, easily!
Great memories when you had to go out to the arcade to get great graphics and now we still go for fun but also nostalgia.
so happy you're back John
Digging those little drink holder/dividers between the games.
Commando was definitely a Capcom game, but the arcade version was licensed for manufacture/distribution by Data East in the US.
Back on the road again!!! Wahhoooo!!! Your arcade vids definitely make my day.
What a great space. Time to open up. Please keep us up to date on the opening.
OMG Free Play is AMAZING!!
OMG if I would live in that area, I would be there every day, it's absolutely amazing. Incredible to think that such places still open, while most arcade have closed otherwise..
Very awesome, thanks for these, I grew up in the 70's 80's and love video games and watching these videos takes me back. flashbacks bigtime! ps sorry he cant open i to am shut down first time in 40 some years:(
Yes! QIX! love that one flashbacks commencing;)
just know i wanted to leave a comment for almost every game lol;) these games were spread all over my area not really any arcades so it reminds me where each one was like Circus charlie and tron were at Rockey Glen Park(and many others) and Qix was at a little breakfast place all by itself, good times thanks!
Let's keep all videos light ..... Its BEYOND awesome ur back 🙏🙏🙏🙏
You should do a live show like this, wow, especially the details. Nice to see the big boys play.
It would take me 9 hours, but I think I have to go when it opens!
Not surprised to hear Wisconsin, there is a Unicorn Super System in Appleton too with the adapter, they were running Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball.
Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball
2:07:52. It's Capcom. Fantastic looking arcade! I'd play everything in there. Wish you luck with this new site! Very, very cool. Also, thanks John for a another entertaining and thought provoking video!!
Great to see ya back!
As a guy who is looking to open a business in worcester metro.... this is a draw ;) Friggin' awesome. Can't wait for this sheist to blow over!
Hey Guys, we're in the arcade. Great video guys, we'll see ya in Wistaa' before ya know it. Best of luck Benny 😊 and you never know when That Tim guy going show up🤣🤣
Glad you're back love your videos
Glad to see you back John. Arcade 4 life!!!
So good to have you back John
Wow it's good to see him back!
Awww yeah!!!! Thanks John!!!
I remember playing Gauntlet Dark Legacy at Ground Kontrol, loved it!
wow you filled up my whole 3 hour drive today! thanks for the long video and keeping me company =) dkshawn
My neck of the woods. Haven't been to this spot yet. I will be there when it's open!
Great looking bar arcade!
So glad you're back!
Amazing! I feel bad for Jay...I'm sure he is hemoriging money right now not being open. This place is ABSOLUTE! Very well done! I had no idea U and Jay had thid many cabs between the 2 of U! This is a Dream of mine to have a joint like this to open my area. Much respect! I just bought a Sweet X-Arcade Cabinet last Sunday with the Original Wells Gardner Monitor in it! I'm using one of my Newer Xbox Mods in it with Coinops 8 Massive & Ninja Massive with in total over 30,000 Arcade & Console System Games on its New 1TB Hard Drive! It came with the X-Arcade Tank Stick with Trackball, but it only had the PlayStation 2 & PC adapters with it. I still have to get the OG Xbox & PS3 adapter off there site. Once that happens will be Rock'n! I have a ton of PS2 Compilation Disc I'm using for now: Midway Arcade Classics, TAITO LEGENDS 1 & 2, ATARI Anthology, SNK Arcade Vol1, Namco Museum, Gradius 3&4, RAIDEN 3, Capcom Classics 1&2, R-Type Final, and many more...glad your back!
Nice video thanks for your time nice to see you again hope you are doing well 👍👍
Looks awesome! Can’t wait to check it out. That’s a solid lineup to be a NEPL spot to
What an awesome arcade! Stunning.
Thank you. My childhood. Do more!
Love this video brings back memories thanks
So glad you’re back 🥲
Oh hell yeah another Arcade Tour!!
Tell Jay to finish that Street Fighter II Dash big blue all he needs is the Champion Edition control overlay and side art why stop half way. SFII Champion Edition is the first Capcom big blue and is pretty rare. What's funny also is that you went from SF to Moon Patrol, the creator of Street Fighter is Takashi Nishiyama and his first game was Moon Patrol he also created Kung Fu Master. So "Moon Patrol" "Kung Fu Master" & "Street Fighter" were all done by the same guy! Also Goonies never came out in the USA as a NES cart only in Japan as a famicom cart. The only USA version's are the playchoice cart and VS board. The playchoice version is the original famicom version of the game. Love the channel keep it up.
When u open,i will bring lots of friends and help keep your dream going, love the arcade🤘🤘
Arcadeattic - I live 5 minutes away. Let me know when you go. See you there my friend.
Damn very impressive place! Definitely going to check out Free Play once they open up
Nice video John. Thanks for sharing! I really want that House of the Dead. :(
This place really reminds me of my childhood at the arcade. Dragon's Lair LaserDisc is out of service...😅
Finally..2 cutes Blast city..♡
Japanese arcade are great...
I like wooden dedicated cabinet thet are pure nostalgia too but more Sega and Taito cabinets to play.
John, ask Jay where he got those mini white/black drink tables that are in between some of his games. Awesome video!!!!
A few rounds of people have made them. The last batch came from Pete, the same guy who did the risers for the cocktail tables.
@@ThatTimGuy Tim I am completing "BarnCade" I am very interested in getting a few tables. Also great work!! Loved the video.
COVID blows. Miss seeing you, John.
Jay seems like a legit guy. Awesome arcade :)
Glad to see you again.
Just went here..great place. Adams family was gone. Medieval madness was down. But had alot of fun. And FYI but you and Jay probably already know...the CA museum of pinball is going to be auctioning their games and pins. Just so you know👍. (Tell Jay to get earthshaker) lol
lots of favorite games in this video
These were some of the best
Wow nice to see you back again sir 👍
Wow, this arcade looks so much fun!
Also, I’m sorry about your Major Havoc being down. I really hope you can fix it soon.
Amazing arcade! I’d love to visit one day.
Used to go to leisureland in Edinburgh. Dodgy street fighters and smoking cigs whilst playing gang busters. Height of summer in a dark smoky arcade. Amazing.
You’re really back in full effect! A little rusty on the camera work, though. A lot of carpet in this one. Love the new videos, though. We missed you
Need that gimble!
I'm in Ohio and seeing this makes me want to come there after everything opens up. If you only had Black Knight. Lol. Great video and the place looks great.
Gaplus is Galaga 3 because Galaga is the second in the trilogy: Galaxian, Galaga, Gaplus. I forget where I heard this, because I've never seen or played Gaplus.
Yep, you're right William. I have seen and played Galaga 2 many years ago. It was more of a hack of Galaga. It was also known as Galaga 84. The layout was the same as Galaga except some bugs( Galagas) were changed and your ship was different.
I would spend every weekend night in that place. Even though I have those games at home.
Great video John
Awesome video John!
Someone beat you to the Talladega Nights backglass idea. I saw one at Pinfest last year. Super cool. Made me want to actually play the Nascar pin :D
I think first was
Galaxian 1.
then
Galaga 2.
then
Gaplus 3.
Later Galaga 88... etc. but this is the way I think it was named.
Thanks for sharing Jay's Place 😁🤘🤘🤘
Wow 👍🏼 nice bar Cade 👍🏼 looks great. If I were to open one, this how I would imagine. Love the murals and overall feel !
Edit: As a 80s arcade kid, the 90s Hydro Thunder, Crazy Taxi 🚕 and X Men I really like.
What a great arcade, I am SO jealous!!! Bummer about the COVID shutdown, hope you will still be in business.
You gotta check out Free Play in the Dallas Fort Worth Texas area. They have 4 locations, and if the two I've been to are indication, and they are, it's a must visit if you're ever Texas bound.
