The Fudge is $15 from OTB and $20-21 in premium.
Our local shop (Disc Traderz in Gastonia NC) has a few Clash discs. They are a little more expensive, but that Soda and that Wild Honey are great discs. I have one of each, and a Butter Putter that I grabbed for $11 used. I love all three of them! ( - Tyree from the Frisbee Fellas)
I don't generally like to spend more than $20 on a disc. I will go over that for special runs or tour series stuff occasionally. Better be damn special for the $30 tho.
Being from Finland and loving the feel of their discs I would just have clash discs in my bag if they had color options, every disc in my bag is pink, purple or "close enough"
That's what keeps me from trying some companies, but I found learning basic dying techniques i could at least get white or clear discs and it helped my selection a bit more. There's a lot more pink and purple nowadays, but still tough from time to time!
My local shop owner tells me when I stop in if he got pinks and purples in the recent restock lol
@@shanebentley5630i only started middle of the summer so i haven't yet gotten into the whole dying thing (I have yet to find a disc I want that isn't pink(ish), since I only have like 20)
@@bilboswaggings I completely get that, I have far too many discs over the years and only recently looked into dye sine I wanted a themed bag. lol
My first Clash disc was a Cookie. Love the steady plastic and now I also have a Lotus, Cinnamon, and Vanilla.
My local retailers must be taking smaller margins or have lower cog cuz they were $22/ea
As a huge fan of Lat 64 going years back, seeing the price increases has been disheartening, but now I can understand why, and seriously appreciate you including that info for the Scandinavian companies!
It is really tough to want to try a new mold or plastic when they're $10+ more than an Innova or Discraft mold.
My local shop has a Grace I very badly want, new mold for me to try with an awesome stamp and the perfect coloring, but i know it's going to be expensive and that really makes it tough to justify the purchase for a new-to-me mold.
I do miss the days a premium Lat 64 disc was only $14-$16...
The price increase helps explain why most of my bag has transitioned to MVP brands with a little Dynamic Discs and a few Loft discs (though their prices are higher too).
Dachshund discs sell clash and have great prices iIbought 5 discs for 86 dollars free shipping and they threw in a clash marker for free. All steady plastic . Plus they came a day early
I grabbed an Eric Oakley tour spice for a long and slightly overstable PD type disc to complement my neutron resistor. It had no glide at all, and my resistor went farther than the spice sometimes. I remember throwing the resistor in the field, then throwing the spice exactly the same, and then the spice literally hit and skipped of the resistor.
The spice now hangs on my wall.
Really well put together video, as usual!
I was working when a lightbulb went off and i said to myself "Oh shoot, Greg was scheduled to drop a video this morning!" Dropped all that i was doing to see this.
When it comes to pricing, i feel for them. I'm the head of accounting for 9 companies. COGS has skyrocketed the past 3 years. Customers believe they are being taken advantage of when realistically, profit margins are very low.
You’re the real MVP! ❤
I don't throw any Clash but I do throw other European made discs. I will say it feels like theres an oversaturation of discs but the price seems to be staying the same or going up for lower quality runs. Its really made me stop buying discs out of the blue, and it has started to make me be really picky because its hard to warrant $18-25 for something that I may never thrown because what they say it does compared to what the disc actually does.
I'm already doing my best to not get too attached to a single make and model of disc, so I can make use of clearances, used discs and other discounts. I reserve trowing the more precious stuff for conditions where the threat of a lost disc is low. I've also started using grip towels so I can compromise more on the grippiness of the plastic and the hand feel of the disc.
I would throw only clash if I could get all their discs in pink, haven't tried a mold I haven't liked and am more than willing to pay a little extra for good, consistent hand feel
These sound like normal prices in Canada. Signature series is often in the $30+ range
He’s using American Dollars here. $30 US is over $40 CAN right now.
@@kyleburns9439 I know. That was my poorly formed point. $30 being high end instead of normal would be amazing.
That said, I can buy a Steady Pepper or Mint for $27 CAD. So that's kinda weird.
I will not spend more than $25 on a disc... no matter what.
If you're going to continue playing 20 years from now, you'll either need a lifetime stockpile or you'll buy 25$+ discs. Inflation is not going anywhere.
@@mmdoofmakes a good point 😂
Im realizing I’ve spent way too much money on discs I’ve wanted/liked 😂
I won a Clash Peppermint from Icebergtv. That thing is BEEF. A lot of fun to throw though 😂
If you do love the plastic come over to Cool Daddy Disc Golf where I have Steady for $20.
Ironically right after I finished this video I got some Clash in cheaper than normal lol
Well, let me know when you’re ready for a restock. I’m also a distributor and will get you a good deal.
I don't throw Clash discs cuz every disc I find that I like is pricey AF by clash
My whole bag is just used bin finds and innova factory second. Thats way too pricey for me
Ohh you have that problem that is the EU-US trade politic that kicks in US don't wanna EU tu sell so the put higher import taxes to the stuff
Clash discs prices are wild I would love to buy some but I refuse to pay that much
Come to Europe. Here the prices are under 20€ :D
@@basna88 I would love to but the plane ticket would be even more expensive lol
@@hotsauce1556save up and then buy a whole bag full of Clash discs in one trip to offset the flight 😂
