One of the best songwriters of our time, thank you for continuing to make music
100% agree
Truly sublime phrasing. Wonderful.
one of the best songs ive heard in a while. Last time a song made me feel this way was Snowmine's "Let me in"
Snowmine tho :)
Beautifully lyrical on every level.. such lightness in handling big feelings.
I can't help being reminded of Nick Drake's music
Still peaking after the wonderful Howler gig in Melbourne last week. Truly one of the best writers and guitarists (and of course singers) we have at the moment.
I LOVE this. Every note & every sentence of it.
Tiny Ruins......ahhhhh.........an example of the exquisite artistry that is all around us in the post great recession dystopia...... if we are willing to seek it out........
Exquisite yet apparently effortless. Such invention in each inflection. Every line pure and pristine.
Love and respect to you Hollie xo
That is beautiful - it has touches of the amazing Indigo Girls ballads in it.
Love the sound of the acoustic guitar - so well recorded. And lovely guitar part.
The sheer beauty of this song literally made me cry.
Love the waltzy rhythm and complexity of Olympic girls. Love the cliches... My favorite female songwriter.....always brings cheer to my life. This song is dedicated to my soul mate, Missy.... a cat with a human heart and wonderful spirit. The best partner in life so far!
Much as I'd like NOT to sound like that mad cat guy, my relationships with my cats have outlasted anything human love could bring me...I even had to sell my beloved motorcycle, which was all packed up, on a shipping container, ready to ship to NZ from the UK, when I emigrated here, but which had to go in the blink of an eye, to pay for the way for my furry friends to get here, when they introduced quarantining laws in NZ, only after I arrived....costs more to put a cat into two weeks quarantine, than for me to stay in a 5* hotel for the same amount of time, apparently...I've adopted two more ferals, since arriving, too...But do they appreciate all this sacrifice?
Of course not, they're cats!
@@jellysmith4350 You are not crazy. Cats are the closest we can get to sensing our benevolent love through us to them. It's an innocence of pure love. Missy was my angel. She found me and I nurtured her to health( she was pregnant and starving). I've had 12 cats in my lifetime, so far, and she was soooo very human in the way she knew when I was in pain. She never left my side. She wasn't a clingy cat. Quite independent. She allowed male, feral cats to hang out with her and one in particular would meow for her, outside my bedroom window and never left her alone. Sat a few feet away from her during her last summer. Now I look back, he knew something was wrong with her urine. Her passing happened so very fast. I miss her everyday. It's only been a year but my new cat (from a rescue centre), has a biting problem and all the love I give her, doesnt seem to make much difference. I think she was abused badly, before I bought her home. I will persevere, but Missy is always in my heart. I hope you are enjoying the company of your beloved cats. Such a pleasure to meet someone who loves cats as much as I do. Jo.
Excellent. Moving. Epic. Wonderful. Gorgeous.
Mesmerizing storytelling, with visual and audible references to Nick Drake, and a voice like Molly Drake.
I just saw these guys live and they are as wonderful and awe-inspiring in person as on record. I also had the wonderful fortune to meet Hollie and she was just the loveliest human. Thank you guys for creating such beautiful things for the world
So good, I absolutely love your music. Please come to America and tour
What an absolutely beautiful piece of art. Captivating, deep. You are at the beginning of an incredible journey. I can’t wait to see you soar.!
Love it ♥︎ Can't wait to listen to the album !

So intensely beautiful. Congrats on the new album
Gorgeous. Hope you come back to Dunedin soon.
Inches a away, still had a long, long way to go... Indeed.
one worthwhile lyric.
Love!!
Wonderful!
Thank you for sharing this with the world
Seven people don't like this? Freaks. It really does not get any better than this, it really doesn't. Early contender for best album of 2019
love love love!
Very few songs make me emotional at every listen and this is one of them. You are wonderful, Hollie. I hope you're well. :)
New biggest fan! Thank you Rage xx
Thanks milk records for turning me on to such a wonderful artist
The most beautiful song in the world
d_unkownchao Specsavers do ear examinations now. Book yourself in for one.
@@thelightrevealstheplace6361 It's all subjective, little fella. Unbunch your undies.
@@thelightrevealstheplace6361 I like the Wiiliams, so thanks, but still not cool to crap on someone else's likes. To me, neither song cuts half as deep as Dead Can Dance's version of "The Wind That Shakes the Barley," for example.
Theodore I think I am entitled to an opinion. To call anything 'the most beautiful song in the whole wide world' is begging for banter. Also, I like some Tiny Ruins stuff. Dead Can Dance are an exceptional band. Their debut is hypnotic.

Hi! Tiny Ruins performed a sweet show at the Oxford Art Factory earlier this month where she performed new songs from her new album “Olympic Girls” as well as some old songs from other albums. I recorded her whole set and you check it out at: czcams.com/video/KvZhAeuOxqQ/video.html
