I'm surprised how well the Mini 2 SE video is compared to the Mavic 3, the colors and clarity is amazing.
Yes this was a great day to showcase that the mini 2 se can still capture stunning footage. Although it can’t replace the mavic I am so happy to have this little beast with me wherever I go 👍
I've had my Mini 2 SE for about a month and your video has given me some great tips for composition. I haven't been higher than 50 metres yet but the view from the max 120 is astonishing. Thank you!

Got the mini se and thought i was buying a photographers drone and being a beginner am blown away. Have used it over 15 times with no problems but didn't realise it was going to be as fast and fun in sports mode. Best gadget ive ever owned.

Hey so I’m not sure if this is gonna make any sense but I was wondering I understand u cannot fly above 400ft in the US does that go by where u take off all the time cause what if I’m in a valley and I can’t go over 400 ft but then I’m up high on a mountain I’m obviously gonna be higher then in the valley so does the 400 ft change or does it go by wherever you take off at Im trying to explain the best I could i hope u understand too lol
Totally understand. The 400 ft is above ground level so as the topography changes so does the 400ft ceiling. Same goes for buildings and other structures like bridges 🌉 hope this helps!

I have the mini but no problem at the moment.Maybe the gimbal are calibrate perfect after I frontal impact with a tree,on my first fly

How do you do the manual panoramic?
Hey again! I basically took the photos myself without having the drone enter the pano maneuver. It does require me to stitch the images in Lightroom after but allows more flexibility in how wide the panorama is 👍
I had persistent remote calibration errors on my mini 2se as well. I don’t know if I should send back or not. It took 15+ calibrations to get it to stop beeping.
Oh wow that’s interesting to hear! Maybe mine will finally give in and calibrate, at least it’s not beeping at me 🤣
Yea , it wasn’t fun. I got it right before a trip to Costa Rica and 6-7 flights in that happened. I ended up putting it in the air with a few days left and it worked fine … then the camera was always moving slowly down … all while non stop beeping …
I recalibrated 6-10 times there. Came home and made a thread in DJI forum … and saw others say they had similar issues and eventually it started working again , others ended in rma. So I did a few more calibrations and it finally stopped. So bizarre though.
@@CharlesWatson13 oh wow that’s so interesting! Well I guess I’ll find out soon enough how my story will end haha stay tuned. Hopefully it makes it to Italy for my June trip
@@The-Drone-Guy good luck ! It’s a great addition. The mini 3 is very close in price right now, so I don’t know how this drone will do long term sales wise. If the mini 3 drops any more , how can you justify the se ? 🤔 I love it but even now a month later I’m questioning if the 3 was the better choice.
@@CharlesWatson13 yes I think I’d I get another mini I’ll go for the 3 - something with more obstacle avoidance but I don’t see price going down yet. I think mini 2/2 SE is there to keep that price the way it is. But also a great entry drone for now!
Does the dji mini 2 se controller work with the mavic 3 thank you?
Hey there great question! They are the same remote so I’d think they could both work interchangeably. However the mavic has a better transmission system so not sure how that would effect it

I have the same problem with the gimbal as well. Calibrated it manually but when I turn to another direction, it comes back tiltiling. So disappointing.
Personally I have seen many posts of people sending back and having a new drone sent to them. I plan to do that but it may be too late, it would not deter me from getting another mini as otherwise the drone has been a blast. But as of recently it’s been to the point where my shots are ruined in some cases
In Italy you’ll make beautiful video’s/pictures I went there a week ago, and I was I didn’t have a drone 😢.

Yesterday I have test-flyed my mini2 without this gimbal problem, I suggest you send your mini2se back to the dji manufacturer
Yes I think I’m still considering sending the drone back however I’m also still having fun flying it and capturing what I need. I do color grade my photos but these were kept somewhat “as shot”

Honestly I can agree with you. Unless you are printing large, or doing more professional video production you don’t need more than the photo/video quality on the mini se. In my opinion you’re really paying for the obstacle avoidance and power of the actual drone itself

Also, have your photos been color-graded?
Yes I usually color grade my images but this wasn’t very much as the colors were already looking great
Your video is in 1080p...?
This was because it was one of my first videos and the mini 2SE defaults to 1080p bringing the whole video resolution down. Otherwise it could have been loaded in 4k HD
In case it helps - I watched a CZcamsr manually correct his gimbal while in flight. It looked pretty simple. I am not sure the correction was held for following flights. My apologies - I made the comment before I watched the video.

Hey! Yes I agree these drones ultimately can’t be compared as equals. However I was hoping this video would be helpful for people like me who already owned the Mavic 3 and wanted something smaller that wasn’t a total waste and could grab shots I was happy with. After these comparisons I’m happy I bought one for my international travel!
