  • In Part 1 of our Drummond Island trip in the Michigan Upper Peninsula we set out to conquer the Marble Head Badge of Honor trail and see what the island's ORV system has to offer. In our first day we also "dipped" into the Log Jam Hole (Conner's Hole). We saw a ton of animals and found a lake shore campsite!

      They were all around us the first morning at camp. So loud. Took off and flew over our site to head to the shore. 👌

    I have that same tire carrier from Smitty. There was a design flaw in the earlier ones with the crown nut that holds the swing arm. They sent me a brand new one for free. Can't remember when I bought it originally. Call them up they were easy to work with. I have to adjust the hyme joint to snug it up every year other then that ive been happy with it.

    I’ll heading to the island soon,
    I’m curious about your lakeside camping area. Was it north or south of the marble head?

      @DarksideOffRoad  Před 10 měsíci +1

      It’s North. I think south is the Shale Beach and I’m not sure there’s anything that way.

    You guys did not run the badge trail. The badge trail is the south loop to Marblehead. It is full of big ruts and deep mud.you guys came in on the north loop. I have wheeled Drummond for decades. Just so you know.
