I bought one of these little wonders a few years ago and I've used it for inspecting the gallery areas of aircraft engines for swarf and other things than can cause F.O.D after machining, I've used it for finding possible cable routes when retro fitting marine instruments on yachts and I've used it around the home.

I purchased the android endoscope camera as well. Thank you for your video, I wasn't real sure how to use attatchments. But one thing I might can help you with, is I thought the square silver button didn't work on mine as well. But I learned that if you press and hold it down for a few seconds, then continue to quick press it, it will show different screen shot options, colors, etc. Each time you press it, different screen view shows up, ...enjoy

I've wanted one of these gadgets for a long time, now that they've come down in price, even better. I can't think of one better step than to make them ready for an Android phone, just super! Another gadget that I have wanted ever since I saw one, was an infrared thermometer, to check temperatures of things by just pointing at them. I got one cheap, somewhere online, and it's just as great to use as the former ones I used to see costing over $100. I think $100 is too much to spend on a toy, when you really don't need it. I'm going to pick up one of these endoscopes. I think they'd be great for doing a closer inspection on my own teeth! Not to mention looking around the car, or in a wall cavity at home, and for plumbing solutions! Great video!

On my LGG3, the square silver button rotates the camera through different color functions, including B&W ...and 4 position changes, essentially left/right-up/down perspective changes.

You can also stop the app by using the button on the phone with the two overlapping squares. Tap it and it will display all running apps. Either tap "close all" or swipe the apps off screen to close them individually.

Just got one of these USB endoscopes. Installed CameraFi on my smartphone (z5c) and by default, it didn't find the camera. After some reading around, I went to 'settings' on the phone, then 'device connection', then 'USB connectivity', then 'Detect USB Device'. It then detected the camera and I was able to see the feed on that CameraFi app. I presume menu items and descriptions may change slightly between phones, but it's probably something reasonably similar for most androids. Hope this helps some of the folks having similar 'fun' on this thread.

The Damn directions are so small, I need a telescope to read them. You just saved me the trouble. Don't worry about other comments, it's just one person's opinion. I got mine from the wish app, for pennies. It works GREAT !!! And it DOES work in your sink drain and Dark places like nothing I've ever seen. I just used mine under the front seat of my car. I pushed the camera down in were the plastic vent blows into the back seat looking for something small. I actually found it, thanks to this Identical camera. This thing is BAD ASS !!! And you can record the vid's straight to your phone ... Everything !!! This extension will allow me to retrieve the small item, I was trying to get. Thanks alot for your help. Merry CHRISTmas !!! one question I know in specs it says the cable is flexible but will it hold a position like an auto camera that has metal tubing on it cause im looking for somthing I can bend at a 45° and it stay could you add a little video
+Eugene Orr No as the cable is very flexible. You will need to tape the cable to like a coat hanger or a stiffer piece of wire.

I was looking to see if there's a trick to getting the plastic sleeve over the barrel of the camera, but it looks like they sent me one that's too small.
I need it for a fuel tank inspection. Does it need wifi or phone service or it can work on any inactive phone?

I also tried other apps , but it doesn't work.
Only when I use USBWeb cam app it occasionally work.( I'll have to clear the cache or reinstall it every time)

Got mine from Gearbest (NOT) it lights up, but the mini Cd is useless, as are the QR codes, can't get the thing to do anything, on any of the phones I have access to.

Have a mot g 3rd gen on marshmallow gave up completely on the supplied app but found that the "scopecam" app worked cheap enough to try but what to do with it once it's working i have no idea LOL has anyone managed to get it to work on an Asus z300 10" Tablet

I bought one of these for my computer; it doesn't work! The computer recognizes something has been plugged in but ... nothing. The software disk that comes with it is in chinese ONLY and is useless. There is a video on youtube claiming it will sync with Windows Live Moviemaker; tried it, nope! Has anyone else been able to find a workaround?
