I love seeing all of your enclosures!!! The wood grain pops when you get the conditioner on!!!!! I love to see the grain when putting it on the wood. Just like the video where you are putting on the dark stain on the enclosure while talking to us, that BEAUTIFUL GRAIN POPPING OUT as you were rubbing it in!!! It was AWESOME to see the grain come out!! I know I'm weird to some people for loving something so little like that but think about how many years it took the trees to grow and it's just something I love to see that God created for us to enjoy!!!

This is awesome true shit preach. I went through all these processes to build my box for two Kicker Q class 10. And them tens blow everybody around me away. I got a 3.85 Cube box tuned at 33 Hertz. Took all my time to learn what I needed to do and built my own box to kicker recommendations

I just ordered all types of power tools,bits,ect ect to start making my own box back stock to start building custom boxes. Also learning to build subwoofers cause nobody in my area of Scotts Valley CA does either. But it’s mainly going to be a hobby cause it’s rare to see anybody besides my self invest over 10k into a system. That’s all the equipment,tools I bought to use,all the boxes I’ve made thru trail and error, power wires, rca’s on my 4 set of pairs of custom 15’s,many different amps from 3K,6K now a 8k,amps for my mids and highs bout 9. TIME AND HEADACHES. SO the 10’000$ + is all the equipment I’ve HAD in the vehicle up until now. As the grand Marquis sits now there’s about 6000$ in it, 2400$ for the 250 amp Alt, 2 XSpower D7500, dual runs of 0 guage POS and NEG to batts and Amp(S) 1800$ for the custom Solo X 18 motors on 15” frames. 450$ for the 8k, 180$ Each for 2 1800 watt amps for my loudspeakers 6-6-1/2’s 2 neo 6-1/2’s220$ for the pair and 4 ferrites up 110$ front with 4 tweets 60$, 4-8 inch loudspeakers 220$,4 tweets 120$ tweets ran off a 800 watt 4ch 200$, rca’s for those 75$ a DSP 150$ box I made bout 180$. Ditching the 8 tweeters and got 4 tweeters higher quality tweets for 200$ bought another set of 4- 6-1/2’s loudspeakers for 120$. You have to learn about OHM’s to get the most out of your amplifiers and electrical supply of things can get complicated and/or burned up. I’ve hacked the F out of my rear area of my G.Marquise-no more rear seat. Only thing left of the back deck it just the 3rd brake light area. So it’s like a hatchback/wagon now. Long ago my bass broke the trunk lock mechanism and ripped out rivets-JB welded it back to 90% BUT I ran 2 thick threaded rods with bots and washers to bolt my trunk down. Got Bigger gap filler injected into my trunk and also in my rear bumper also use big gap filler to secure my box in my trunk till I get a better way. Gorilla glued my rear view mirror over 8 times now. Still not done,still learning,I know it can be what I want it to be. I spent my time writing this to let people know. You can do it yourself BUT ITS TAKE TONS OF TIME doesn’t have to be as expensive as mine-IF! I knew THEN what I know NOW-I could’ve spent about HALF to be at where Iam now. But that’s life(Audio)LABOR of LOVE. PANTER PLATFORMS are a good start for a system car btw.
You're definitely right a salesman or car audio salesman will sell you anything I got a 2007 Chevy Impala and I just went in and said I wanted 215s and he gave me 215s before I even started watching your show and another thing I noticed you can't be all about name brand because name brand will have you with empty pockets.
I know that my 95 mustang convertible has a terrible for car audio, the trunk is tiny and back seat doesn't flip down. My single 10 and a 2k amp takes up enough my spare won't fit in...but hey priorities I can always sit and jam out with a flat tire! but I can't with just a spare in the trunk!
Upgrade your alternator. Fit the biggest physical and powerful battery under you hood. Get a custom 10 made or off the shelf you can afford. Then go sealed or ported based on what you prefer(impress yourself OR others )Bass likes air it may not sound loud in a rag top IN the vehicle but outside it’ll carry for. Look at Jeeps in the 90’s dude’s would rock 2-10 or 2-12’s and be heard far away. I’ve known to many people trying out different subs,boxes,amps ect ect but never bothered to save up and upgrade there electrical Then they get discouraged thinks it’s all a waste of money. Or sell the Ride and get another V8 vehicle mainly cause they come stock with bigger alternators and so the aftermarket alternators can be 250-400 amps sometimes more and you’ll spend anywhere from 700-1200$. A good Audio battery is anywhere from 350-800$ and those two important pieces of equipment can be used in other vehicles to either sell or use again. Power/electrical upgrades FIRST. Then it’s FUN after that. Wires too obviously.

Hungry Howie gave $1200 they say cuz they did an entire weekend of inventory in the Saturday they both didn't open Sunday no deliveries till Monday..anyway man appreciate the talent you have hope you get more folkz thaT want you to build your sons for them .. I'm right there. I love the ID8 but now thinking IDQ8s. Under rearcseat 92 Full Size K1500. Aming at 6 - 8" 600w a pair. 4 - 10" ID at 1200w a pair. More sql geared. Sealed I've heard sealed is box is best. Looking at $350/400:to $600 (max $700 no more) on a box. I can get measurements by tomorrow.
I have a 2010 Regular Cab F150.I built the Sub Box myself and have 8 speakers total.Sound deadened the whole cab.Wiring and everything else looking at $2,500 easy. Now if I took it to a shop I would be looking at $5K !!!
You ever thought about selling the designs? Maybe not give all the magic sauce, but sell designs for a certain sub, let the end user build it. For a guy that is handy, and doesn’t know how to design a box.

I was thinking 2 kicker Q class 15s in a trunk baffle. This hobby is crazy and never stops um um um. Should've kept playing madden lol

Hi. Can you tell us your opinion about Cerwin Vega budget subs or any other budget subs? I'm traying to build my system sort of SQ (sedan VW) got a pair aJBL GTO 609c in the front (will add a midrange or wideband), will add a rear doors mid-bass woofers and one or two subs. I am thinking about JBL also entry level subs (because of spl level 90-92 dB and brand awareness) or something else between 70-120USD (CV, DLS, InPhase, MTX, Focal, Dayton Audio). Still debating if normal subs or shallow subs because space is a very important thing to me, so still need full trunk usability and to be able to bend the rear seats for trunk-cabin access. Not looking for crazy SPL levels, it's my daily and with such a wide variety of brands it's hard to pick one. Also thinking of choosing 2 x 8"/10" instead of one 12/15" because i'm thinking will get a better sound at low music volume? when driving here and there in the city? Thanks

You made a video changing your smoke detector battery 3 days ago. You didn't follow the instructions. Its not just replacing the old battery. You need to disconnect and clear it with the battery out.
My battery terminals by ill Customs are aluminum but it's a big chunk of 6061 aluminum which is great conductivity. Of course the copper ones are still better that they make in my brand for $89. mine were $45 ....but when it's a big chunk of 6061 aluminum like that it's also different and still real good conductivity .Go figure . We're talking different densities of aluminum.mmmm-k
@@M.B.Enclosures yeah you're right but they also have copper and it's a little different when it comes to voice coils rather than power wire.. but yeah copper is always better than copper clad aluminum ( less resistance ,better transfer =less heat, less loss of watts) .. to bad they can't make it out of pure silver or gold LOL that's the best conductivity. I don't know if it'll handle the heat though I'm sure it's super expensive to make also LOL
I do love my Silver tinned OFC nvx power wire.. they make some great wire.. less maintenance from the atmospheric elements whereas pure copper will corrode faster.

I did that and it's hard to deliver the design files digitally on a lot of sites like eBay. A better platform would be good

@@M.B.Enclosures yeah you're right but they also have copper and it's a little different when it comes to voice coils rather than power wire.. but yeah copper is always better than copper clad aluminum ( less resistance ,better transfer =less heat, less loss of watts) .. to bad they can't make it out of pure silver or gold LOL that's the best conductivity. I don't know if it'll handle the heat though I'm sure it's super expensive to make also LOL
I do love my Silver tinned OFC nvx power wire.. they make some great wire.. less maintenance from the atmospheric elements whereas pure copper will corrode faster.

This man nearly cut his finger off building my box and still didn’t give me what I asked or payed for. 🫵🏻 speaking of Robbin blind. 600 for a 4.3 when I asked for a 4.5. Could of told me he couldn’t make the box but instead charged me and sends me something less. That’s dishonesty.
