Prepping our 84 VW Vanagon for Radwood. Part 1

- I've Just signed up to bring our 84 Vanagon to Radwood in San Francisco on July 20th. Ive never actually brought a car, or van for this matter, to a show before, so this will be an experience. Georgie is far from a show car but I still think it'll be great to bring him in to SF to hang out with cars his own age.
I've a list of things I'd like to do before the show so I figured I'd bring you along for the spin.
Suspension, wheels, lighting, rear bumper, finish the sink, clean the carpets, deep clean interior, and tie up a few loose ends.
This will more than likely be a multi video series and I'll try to keep the videos on the shorter side.
I kick the prep off with a new to me windshield to replace the existing one that was having some delamination issues. I didn't break this one!
I've also fitted a front chin spoiler? valance? air dam? what ever you want to call it. This item was also taken off a different Vanagon, a newer van, but with a little fettling it fits up nicely and really cleaned up the front of the van.

How did you like the plastic restorer? Thinking of getting that for one of my other cars
I like it so far, time will tell I suppose. I wouldn’t have used the blow torch if it was uniformly colored. It needed a bit of extra work. I’m sure if you used it before it faded so much it would keep it nice.
