Thanks, for the review. I have been loving Coop's strips also. I tried using just the master test kit and I just don't have the patience nor the desire to play amateur chemist. It got to the point where I just stopped testing completely because I was dreading pulling out the test kit so I knew it was time to switch to strips.
I completely understand that! The master test kit is great but it's definitely a lot more time consuming and sometimes it's just to much to hassle with. Once you get them let me know how you like them.
I have the API Master kit and I have to continuously repeat test because either one drop of solution slipped by and I know that will mess up the results or my mind is tired I work too many hours at night and I get confused so I usually do my test twice just to make sure I'm accurate to check myself. And it's to do all the tests it's usually a 20-30 minute ordeal back and forth. I watched this video and said that's it! This is what I need this is what I want and I just placed an order! Thank you so much for this wonderful review! I will use your test strips and the API Master kit ammonia test from here on out! Can't wait for them to come!
Aquarium co-op also has ammonia for around 16 bucks 100 but if you cut them vertically that’s 200 the same with their aquarium co-op test strips you have 200 now you’re cutting vertically you have 400 leave me it works I did it all day long
Excellent video I saw these on the website and was planning on trying them. I shared the video in a goldfish group that has a lot of first time fish keepers
Great review! I couldn’t hit order fast enough when I saw these on the co op’s website. It is good though to see how they really compare to the master test kit.
The only difference is.. api master test kit is found in mist countries, unlike Cory's test strips. Which is not his fault. But shipping companies. Cause he did try to ship to Australia
When I test for nitrate with the Co-op strips, after a minute's wait it shows around 10 ppm. But after another 30-60 seconds, the color turns a much brighter pink -- showing maybe 40+ ppm. So I guess reading the strip at exactly one minute is critical? Thoughts?
@@leo2o915 there were some pads that fell off but it was a very small number and the strips still worked. I know that the co-op is looking to address that issue and may have already.
@@leo2o915 I got my order a couple wks ago & am testing at least once a day because they're so economical. No problem eith any tabs falling off. I think they corrected the problem.
Is there a reason why they wouldn't include ammonia? For me, that would seem the most critical. Although the time savings and lack of vigorously shaking for nitrate is nice.
There are ammonia test strips available from aquarium co-op but they have different instructions for testing. I'm not sure there are any all in one test strips that test ammonia. I believe it's due to the ammonia tests needing to be directly in the water longer.
Unfortunately you can't put ammonia on the same test strip as the rest as they have different requirements. They do sell seperate ammonia strips though.
Ammonia tests have to be kept in water much longer than the other tests which is why they have different test strips. There are no test strips that are all in one that include ammonia that I'm aware of.
I love aquarium co-op test strips. They save me so much time and I don’t need to deal with chemicals.
I completely agree! Nice to get so many for the price too
Had no clue about the instructions inside Lol. Thnx!
Lol

Awesome review! I have been using test strips more than my master api kit to track nitrates I ordered these strips to start using now
Thanks for watching! I think you will be happy with them.
Definitely deserve a "thumbs up" for this review.

Hopefully as he continues to expand they will be available in other countries.
Testing 17 tanks with the master test kit getting real old fast lol, test strips on the way🙂👍🏻
Know that feeling. Master test kit is great for 1 tank, but when you have multiple the test strips become a must! Hope you are subscribed!

I didn't have that experience but suspect you're correct. I would reach out to aquarium coops customer service.
So you think it’s better then the other ones ? Placing a order right now debating if getting them
For the price I think its definitely better than many and as good as any I've tried.
@@IansFishRoom saw some reviews saying they fall of the paper ? You’ve had that happen ?

Y not ammonia test on the strip?
Ammonia takes a longer time in the water to get an accurate reading which is why none of the test strips include ammonia.
are these pretty accurate?
In my experience...yes
Always good to cut the strip in half so then you would have 400 test strips!
As long as you can cut straight lines.

@@IansFishRoom okay pal 👍
This diamond in the rough I split them vertically like Cory said now I have 400 incredible Mo’s honest person on it and I’m not kidding
Cory definitely has been helpful to the hobby.
What’s the difference between KH, total alkalinity and carbonate?
KH is the measurements of carbonates and bicarbonates in water. The KH acts as a buffer and helps neutralize acid (low PH).
why doesn’t it show ammonia
Ammonia tests have to be kept in water much longer than the other tests which is why they have different test strips. There are no test strips that are all in one that include ammonia that I'm aware of.
