Hi Dylan, these are not sticks, these are spoons 😊 and you guess right this is traditional spoon dance. We called in Turkish "silifke kaşık dansı" (Silifke spoon dance). But in this music video they're combine the traditional and new. In this video there're Turkish vibes, but it filmed in aboard and the dancers are foreign. I think they wanted to be combine all differences like that for this rythm😊

Gulsen is very unique, she is probably our most versatile singer/composer. She composes her own songs, but also many (hit) songs for other famous singers in many different styles. You could be very busy checking out her other stuff since she’s been making music ever since I was just a kid... she’s 42, can you believe it? In case you want to check her songs, some of my personal favorites are: Ezerbozan, Bir firt cek, Kardan adam, canin sagolsun.. but I could go on forever really.

In addtion to this, the music video was also directed by one of the most talented fashion photographer in turkey,so i guess that's why the decoration and the style of her looked more stylish and fashionable but her style is always unique compared to other singers in turkey.

Also yass gülşen is very big in here and this song is still popular. Much love to you if you reading this x
