    I'm serving my time
    I'm serving nine to five
And theres no bars to hold me
But there may as well be
    Its a life sentence
    No chance of parole
I guess I'm as free as a man can be
    Stuck down a hole
    We're living for the weekend
But we're dying nine to five
We gave them everything they wanted
    But they wanted a fight
    We gave them our muscles
    But they wanted our souls
    I guess they don't know
You can't get blood from a stone
    I guess they don't know
You can't get blood from a stone
    It's late Friday night
I'm stuck here pulling pint after pint
Waiting for last order's bell to ring
I'd rather be anywhere but here
But I serve your pint with smile and a wink
And I pray for my ship to come in
    I guess I don't know
How long I 'll be waiting

Be careful with this record and this band in general.
I have uploaded this to my channel and 2 weeks later I got a strike from CZcams (3 strikes = channel down) for breaking stupid copyright infringements.
I contacted Booze and Glory and they admitted it was them that caused the strike, and asked me to 'take down all other stuff I do not own'.
This is so stupid, I have no words.
They've also admitted that they've hired two agencies to 'scan the internet and take down all the Booze and Glory music'. This is where the sense and logic have committed suicide.
Needless to say, I've stopped supporting Booze and Glory after this incident and I'm never buying any of their records again.
Also needless to say, that if some band wants their stuff taken down from my channel, all they have to do is just let me know. In their case they complained to CZcams without a notice, which is a disgrace.

I get them, their a small band which's trying to live from music, so they want at least earn something from platforms like spotify, official youtube channel or records sales
You should't treat it like some personal attack on their fans, come on

    • @upthepunxvinyls
      @upthepunxvinyls Před 2 lety +2

@@oskar_oskarewicz No. They can have their stuff blocked from being monetized by someone else, and - even better - have youtube monetize them instead. I'm fine with that.
But sending copyright strikes, hiring agencies to have channels taken down for listing their music and send youtube strikes is OBSCENE and a DISGRACE.
They should THANK US for promoting their stuff, not punish us. Seriously.

Imagine band members monitirng themselves the internet, and asking people to take down their music, and kindly aksing you to go to their band's or record label's officiall channels :)
That's a full time job, and waste of their time to be frank.
I get that few copyright strikes fropm youtube can damage some good fan made channels, which are promoting music and bands through "piracy" indeed.
Maybe the solution is at least not to post brand new music, especially the one that is on youtube anyway, on their own channel?
Most new music sooner or later is up on youtube officially.
I understand they can have their music blocked from being monetized by someone else, but they also want you to use their accounts if the music is up there.
      Cheers!

Let’s be honest, a few years ago we all supported bands by attending their gigs and buying their records. Today? We can hear everything if we want - instantly and not even have to bother sending a cassette through the post like we used to do. I understand the annoyance of the original poster but I think it needs to be put in perspective.
