About Dude Dad:
Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.
In addition to Dude Dad©, I have been in numerous TV shows, commercials, and have regular appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I will also be hosting my own TV show called "Super Dad" on the new Magnolia Network / Discovery+. Heidi and the kids will also be a part of the show. As a mom in the 80’s I used my college backpack as my diaper bag (and purse). I wanted to have my hands free. Loved it!

I love how this "commercial" makes fun of all those macho man commercials for soap, sunglasses, etc. Spot on!
I found a similar backpack style diaper bag at Babies-R-Us (I guess before the company went under) and it was the greatest thing ever. I'd say any tactical backpack would work great for this, as it doesn't look all girly, you can organize all your baby-needs stuff where you can find it instead of all in one huge pouch, and the right backpack can take mountains of abuse (which you really need a diaper bag to take a beating...you'd be amazed at what you'll put a diaper bag through). I would overpack mine all the time and before I knew it, Wifey was stealing my baby backpack all the time.
We had an Eddie Bauer black backpack when our daughter was a baby. It worked awesome until he left it in a gas station bathroom. 😂 luckily she was around 3 when that happened.
We used kid sized backpacks with whatever design the kid was into (Spider-Man, veggie tales...) and had them carry their own starting once they were big enough (18 mos.-2-ish). Frees up mom and dads hands, teaches them responsibility, promotes team work, etc. Importsnt notes: Don’t over load it, give them a break by carrying it for them if/when they need it, get in the habit of asking them if they have their bag when departing to the next place or getting out of the car. Next thing you know you’ve got little men and women instead of helpless dependents.

I was skeptical at first with purchasing the diaper bag on Amazon, but when I got it I loved it!! 😍 Has lots of room for baby's essentials and more.
I was initially skeptical about this bag due to a lack of reviews, but a diaper bag was literally the only item on our baby registry that my wife gave me total freedom to pick out. I began my search for diaper bags. For the men’s style, there was no shortage of these fashionable northeastern cloth with brown leather straps that looked too fancy for my liking. Also tons of tactical diaper bags but I’ve never been “tacticool” enough for one of those. I initially added the swiss gear diaper bag to our registry… but wasn’t excited about it because it looks like a laptop bag…. And then I saw this one. I knew I had to take a chance on it because to me it looks like a “regular cool kid backpack.” Normal, but cool looking. I went ahead and bought it because I couldn’t wait to see it. It’s friggin cooler in person than it is in the videos. I showed my wife and she thinks it’s hilarious. Love the look. Love the size. Love the “Dude Dad” logo. All my guy friends are going to be jealous when they see it. So stoked! I could care less if this thing disintegrates in 6 months. If it works I’d buy a new one cuz this is the coolest looking diaper bag BY FAR that I’ve been able to come across. Thanks!

My husband got a "Diaper Dude" diaper bag at our baby shower 9 yrs ago. Was from Babies R Us, & it was a black diaper bag with skulls on it. We still have it, lol. Yours is great cuz it's an actual backpack. Love it! Love all your videos!❤️

Man I’d love to buy one of these. Was super excited when you teased this in a video awhile back as my wife and I just had our first baby 3 weeks ago. Shipping is absurd though. $18 in shipping costs (in the states) puts this close to $100. No way we can justify spending that much on a diaper bag.

I like the design. I personally like fake leather when it comes to diaper bags/backpacks/purses because i can wipe the outside clean and i also just prefer that look. Tad bit sexist assuming only men would want a diaper bag like this. Aside from that, however, it is a very useful diaper bag for either gender. I also like some of the other products on your website.

doesn't happen at my house. I work 24/7, and he works 10/12 hour days and watches/tv spends every last second on his hobbies.
What is wrong with you. If both parents are in the same home it’s a combined effort from BOTH no matter how many “long” hours either of you worked.
I deleted my original reply after I read a more direct comment. I agree, what is wrong with you. It’s not controlling, it’s called being a parent. When a spouse who is a parent gets home from work, they work with their spouse to parent. You don’t get to sit on your arse watching TV, you role model to your child/ren working together or working according to your strength. When I worked evenings I always came home to a clean kitchen, toys put away, dirty clothes in the laundry basket. My husband would come home to hear about home school lessons, dishes in the dish rack and depending on the dinner, I might have started something or there’s be something thawing. Vacuuming he did while I worked Saturday daytime.
